Good soundbar, but there's better out there.

The Samsung lacks mids, but the highs and lows are good.

Great but Finnicky Bar

Have Returned it and got another one!!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t have a problem with it at the start and I have updated the firmware after 2 days of purchase on my first one and started hearing static and distortion from rear speakers. I have done all the troubleshooting and even called up Samsung customer care and they asked me to send it back to them and it would take 15-20 days for the repair or replacement. Fortunately I had Best Buy return policy and returned it and got an other one. Guess what this have the same problem and I have done the troubleshooting again and it is working fine at the moment , but I am pretty sure that the problem will arise again. If it does them I am going to return this one too. Pretty much upset with Samsung , after paying HE** lotta money and facing this issues. Will go for Sonos. I would be happy if anyone could assist me with the rear speakers problem but I guess that has something to do with the software update. Please wait for few days and read the reviews before you Buy this product. But when this works, you will love sound from it. So it’s a big lame shame from Samsung to release this in hurry with out a proper app and display on the top.

Decent soundbar. The Nakamichi 9.2 far superior

I do like the wireless speakers but the sound cutout from time to time. In terms of surround, the Nakamichi’s dual subs and two extra surround speakers is significantly better. As far as atmos height effects, both soundbars are comparable, I can hear stuff flying over my head. Not sure why Best Buy doesn’t have the Nakamichi to listen to in stores. My purchase decision will be a whole lot easier. Just need to box up the Samsung for return. The box is a bit difficult to move around.

Didn't meet my expectations

Reviews made it sound like this might be comparable, but in the end, soundbars can't even come close to a dedicated 7.1 home theater setup with a receiver and quality speakers with a subwoofer. I should have expected that, but was disappointed in the outcome.

You can try manually optimizing your settings by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND.
You can further adjust TREBLE, BASS, CENTER LEVEL, FRONT TOP LEVEL, and REAR LEVEL via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

Not Great: The Reviewers Are Wrong

They all rated this very highly and their top choice was either this one or the Sonos Arc (get that instead). Having a Samsung TV, I figured it was good the keep everything in the family, so to speak. I bought this online without listening because there wasn't one in stock near my house. I was greatly disappointed when I got this home and listened to it. There is zero separation, no sound stage, and the high-end bass is non-existent. The sound signature is completely flat. No separation, no sound stage. It sounds like the audio is coming from a single, mono-speaker in the front of the room. The only time I heard separation was when it came from the rear speakers. The bass in this system is completely unbalanced. The low-end bass from the subwoofer will shake the fillings out of your teeth. But I don't mean way; There is way too much low-frequency bass but nothing in the mid-range at all. Many of the reviews I read recommended the Sonos Arc and that was also the advice I received from the associate at the Best Buy store. All of my complaints about the Samsung were solved by the Sonos. It sounds absolutely fantastic.

It’s really powerful, so the subwoofer can’t be directed against the wall. Also, the voice recognition feature always goes off at random times without me saying “Alexa or bixby!” Maybe there’s a sensitivity option I can adjust?! If not, it needs to be available. Apart from that, I got the Q800T to pair with it but haven’t tried the Q symphony feature. Great buy!
