Bought a laptop with a 1tb HDD, and bought this with it. installed this as my boot drive and kept the 1tb installed for extra storage. Boot times are about 5-10 seconds this thing is fast!

This SSD is fast, small and quiet. If you plan to use this device as a boot device, ensure your motherboard has BIOS support for booting from this type of device. I installed this device into an industrial fanless device which did not have the boot support for this device. Note the EVO 950 has additional features that allow booting from older motherboards. My solution was to use a CFAST card for the UEFI and BIOS bootloader, then the Samsung EVO 970 for the OS. The system is running great and is totally silent. If you have a new motherboard with confirmed boot support for this type of device, you will love it!

I installed this SSD in an Asus Z170 board. It was immediately recognized and Windows 10 Home installed quickly and effortlessly. The SSD speeds approach that of the 970 Pro.

Super easy to install into a compatible motherboard, insanely fast boot times, eliminates excess SATA cables. From power on to log-in takes me 20 seconds tops.

Got it because my Fallout 4 was lagging something terrible. Installed this and no more lag! My laptop now boots up in 5 seconds. Should have gotten it sooner.

This M.2 drive was easy to install on my new MSI mobo. I cloned the existing mechanical HDD and thencleared the data and booted from theis M.2. Very fast!

The samsung nvme ssd is so fast. Installation was pretty straightforward and I use this as my boot device. PC goes to login screen in less than 20 seconds.

I love this SSD. It installed Windows 10 in less than 7 minutes. I usually leave the computer and do something else, but it was moving so fast, I stayed to watch. My only complaint is that Samsung should include a screw and standoff for installation. It would be a small cost, but it would have saved me a huge headache, since I bought this for a prebuilt computer that didn't come with those.

Want 5 second bootup to windows? This drive can achieve that! This is so fast, and snappy. Nothing quite matches this M.2 SSD, it's the best so far!

If your mobo can take NVMe V-NAND SSD, I would recommend getting these. They are super fast and its less clutter to deal with in your case.

Easy to install and super fast hard drive for motherboards with a m.2 slot! Used the samsung cloner tool to copy from my older samsung SSD.

I cannot stress enough the importance of running a ssd as a main/boot drive. Samsung has delivered and at a reasonable price point!

Easy, fast install, the drives feel lightweight and almost easily breakable, but all drives of this form factor are that way. Windows 10 (not sure the service pack) found drivers easily, and without asking for intervention. Nice drive for the money. Only 4 stars because I know that there are more costly, faster drives out there.

I bought 2 of these to use as round-robin back-ups of my PC's OS & PGMs C drive. Works great, fast & reliable.

I got this Drive as a birthday present, at first I was all excited to install it and then I realize it did not come with a screw to install it. We went from computer store to computer store and nobody had the right installation screw, I eventually found a screw set on Amazon and had to wait a couple days to get it mailed. Once the drive was installed it was awesome, it improved the computer’s overall speed Tremendously.
