Purchased this product new in August 2013 and installed in October 2013. Sadly I did not purchase the warranty because in mid-December 2015 the machine malfunction just filling with water and emptying repeatedly until turned off. Samsung simply said it is too bad we only have a one year warranty. Their authorized service company charged $80 to diagnose that a circuit board needed replacement which is another $360 - installed. I purchased the Samsung one year guaranteed repair for the additional $360. It is now February 2015 without the repair yet. We have paid over $440 and the circuit board is still on back order with no estimate of when the washer will be repaired. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG WASHER AGAIN. The positive reviews must be posted in the first two years.

This is a great washer. No agitator allows for a large load of laundry. The built in sink makes it easy to treat stains. There are numerous settings for washing many types of specialty items.

My wife loves this washer. We gave up on the front load washer as the mildew odor had become a big issue so we went back to the top load washer. It's big and powerful. Good product!

I have a few issues with this washing machine. First, the water that comes out specificity for soaking clothes IS COLD WATER ONLY!!! If I am soaking a stain, I need hot water. I have to take a bowl and put hot water in it. Why did I buy this washing machine??? Specifically for this soaking sink. I assumed it would be hot/warm water. How stupid! Next, the sink should be removable. I had to saw it off so, I could take it out when I'm not using it. It blocks the drawer to put the detergent in. It's in the way when you bend down to take your clothes out. This was a great thought but very very poorly designed.

This washer is really great. It's the first washer I've had that has advanced buttons, so maybe I'm biased. I LOVE the hand wash bin. I'm a lady, and for some reason a lot of lady clothes are hand wash only. So it's nice to have something that helps with that. You can also use it to pre-treat stained clothes, and when you're done all you have to do is flip it up, and the clothes slide into the bin! I absolutely love it.

Best Washer I ever owned. Plays music when clothes are done. Very quite when washing. Many options for cycle.

The capacity in this washer is incredible. Love the delay start and timer on the remaining time on the load.

Washer doesn't dispense warm or hot water when set to those temperatures on wash cycle. It will only dispense hot water on cleaning cycle. It leaves white residue on dark clothes, necessitating a second wash with no detergent. have tried various remedies( water softener,etc); nothing has worked!

Many features that make washing large loads very easy.

Less than one year old and the machine is already down. Unfortunately most of these positive reviews are within the first few months of purchase. I would recommend an extended warranty for all Samsung appliances, they should stick to TVs.

I just purchased this Activewash Samsung Washer June 2016. The Price was good, everything seemed great but then after I did my 3rd wash on the machine, the cycle stopped mid wash. I returned after 1 hour thinking the wash was almost done to find the washer completely stopped with an Error Code that the clothing was unbalanced and I needed to move things or take things out to get it balanced. I did that and restarted. After a bit, the washer stopped again with the error code. So I shifted the sheets around and started it again. So it took me over 2 hours to go through these stops and restart again. Now mind you, I only had 3 bedsheets and and 1 light flannel blanket - not a full load by any means. So do I have to shift clothes around every time its not balanced? Do I have to stand by the machine or return regularly to check on whether the machine stopped or not? No thank you. Back you go. Returning it even though I have to pay for them to pick it up. Very disappointed to hear from sales person that most machines today have this balancing issue. Are all new washer customers going through this as well?? Is this true?

Best Buy and Samsung ruined my experiance. Will probably return the machine. A simple 10 cent part, a plastic hose guide, wasn't deliverred by Best Buy. Best Buy, with out any investigation, blamed Samsung. I've been fighting with Samsung for two days now to get it. Fisst, they couldn't send me one without a Serial Number. Left work to go home and get it. Then they couldn't send it without a copy of my reciept. Had to leave work again to go get it. Then today they called to say they didn't recieve my email. I'm so fed up about this 10 cent missing part than I am willing to pack it up and deliver it back to best Buy for a refund. What a joke.

I did not read the reviews before I purchased my washer, I did look at the Consumer Report on the machines. I was not aware that you can not select the water level in the new machines made today. I have a hard time understanding how I am to get my clothes clean in soooo little water. I can not see into the tub due to the moisture on the plastic lid/builtin sink, have to use a flash light to see what is happening. The tub in tooo deep I can not reach the bottom of the tub to clean the cat/dog hair that was left behind. Nice to have a large tub, but why sooo deep? The machine can not handle small soft throws in the spin cycle, have to open lid and move item around several times, then the machine started all over again added water, etc. Now it take me hour and half to wash one load compared to the half hour it use to take. Where is the benefit? My water bill may be less but the electric will be much more. I found the bedding cycle will be my go to cycle for most loads due to the water level that I can get. I can no longer wash out my cup for soap/fabric softener used to pour into the dispenser as the lid is locked. Bleach cup I can not access to rinse out during wash. Who ever designed these machines did little real washing. I wished I had kept my old machine and had it repaired. It did a get job and we worked well together in MY WORLD.

The tub is huge and can fit a lot of clothes. It seems to do a reasonable job getting them clean. However, the machine shakes like crazy. I tried leveling it myself with the (not so clear) instructions they provided, but no luck. So, I had geek squad come out to try to level the machine, but they said this shaking was "normal". I've never had a washing machine shake like this, except of course just before they were about to die. Further, this machine supposedly has "vibration reduction technology"...well, I think they need to keep working on that technology...

This washer was a replacement with the recall. Had no issues with the original and no issues with this one either. Been happy with purchase.

Has not worked from day one and over 500 negative reviews online regarding Samsung Washer & Dryers. I have Samsung Range that works great so did not do my homework but appears to be a problem with this unit and others and I am in process of returning unit. I believe they are discontinuing this unit probably why it is always on sale and suspect do to high level of repairs. Can't verify that but can verify this unit has not worked from day one!

Second replacement because of no cold water. Working the way it should now.

I had the previous generation of this washer for about a year before it was recalled. I decided to replace it with the same exact model, because the old one was great (except for that potential fire thing). I regret my decision. If you put anything other than the most perfectly balanced load possible in this machine, it will either fail to run, or will try to re-balance the load by filling the machine with water over and over again. I am looking at a load right now that has been going for over an hour and a half on Normal mode. I am not talking about a comforter on one side of the machine, either. I am talking about a half-full load of mixed clothes. And I cannot get it to balance or run at all on anything other than Delicates or Normal. I am all for safety and caution, but Samsung went over the top when they re-engineered the software on these. Just an awful machine now. I really miss my old one (except for the risk of fire, of course).
