I was so happy when we see this in the store. I originally picked out a smaller, moe basic washer and then I see this one. This is the one I wanted but was not in the budget until the salseman told us that this one was the same price as what i had picked out since all the Samsungs were on sale with huge insentives. I got what I wanted and I couldn't be happier...Oh and it works great.

This wash machine has such a great capacity. I can now do one load of wash instead of two. Without an agitator, you barely hear the machine run. The built in pre-wash sink is extremely useful for getting out stains and ground in dirt.

Had to place a step stool in front so my wife could reach the bottom of the tub. Also got her a Graber to get socks out. Cleaning every thing we put in. This replace a GE HE . It will handle every thing we have. It is worth its cost.

Washes everything just fine. Only one complaint, the washer drum is so deep that it s difficult to remove clothes from the bottom. Ideal for large families that have a ton of laundry.

I am not a fan of this washer. I didn't realize you have to be a giant to open the lid. I actually had to invest in a stool. Then my kids got sandy, and the washer do sand. The sand just sits on the bottom. You actually have to vacuum it out. Even tried the cleaning cycle. So basically it makes me wonder just how clean it gets my clothes. So for the cost. I wouldn't purchase it again. I would just pay more money for a front loader.

I have had this washer about a month and it works perfectly and handles the largest loads, so absolutely no complaints on the performance. However, the pump on the washer is very loud and sounds like it is vibrating or almost grinding. I had Samsung repair come out and they said that is how the pumps sound after they tested the machine. I saw other reviews where people said their machine is pretty much silent, and so is this one until it pumps out the water. Go figure, who do you believe? They brought a replacement pump with them for the possible repair but it apparently makes the same noise. Outside of the annoyance of the pump, the washer performs well.

Capacity: (4 stars) Fits a lot of clothes, but my wife can't reach the bottom even with a step stool (5'6") because even leaning over the edge her arms aren't long enough ActiveWash; (5 stars) this means you actively wash your own clothes by scrubbing the really stained ones on the washboard basin. My wife and I both like this feature and it's much easier to clean the kids underwear and my swiffer floor mop pads. Definitely the best part of the machine Soap: (1 star) stupid dumb ridiculous foolish stupid stupid stupid dumb placement of detergent tray in the BACK behind the ActiveWash basin, and is the most annoying part of doing laundry since i think "stupid engineers" every time i wash a load. Cycle Selection: (3 stars) has lots of options but some options are disallowed by other selections. I want to have the steam on every cycle but sometimes it's not allowed. Steam wash is a great benefit since top loaders like this one get clothes cleaner than they otherwise would. Front loaders get clothes cleaner, but we are not good enough about routine mildew cleaning to maintain a front loader. Cleaning: (2 stars) a bit harsh, maybe i'd give it 3 stars on another day, but our most stained baby clothes don't get any cleaner in this machine than our previous and now replaced 10 year old whirlpool. I was hoping for everything to come out spotless, and we took our most stained stuff and ... still stained. I think most washers wouldn't get out the stains, but still I hoped for more. Probably just my own unrealistic expectations. Exploding Model: (5 stars) hasn't exploded. Although the only way to get it to explode is to do all these things at the same time 1) overload it with clothes above the fill line 2) set it to Heavy Duty cycle. I think they've disabled the 'Extra High Spin' from the Heavy Duty cycle in those currently for sale so that dumb people who feel the need to overload a 5.2 capacity washer don't break it. but hey, i guess they have to design it for dumb people who don't read warnings instead of people who want their washers to last more than 10 years. Value: (4 stars) got it on the cheap, $650 with free installation.

Big upgrade from our previous washer. We love it. Large capacity.

This is a great machine. Quiet, efficient, and looks good to boot. The only thing that we did not properly account for is its height, when measuring for space we forgot to account for the little concrete pad that it sits on, so my wife and kids need a little step stool to reach those last pieces of clothing on the bottom, other than that, an excellent buy.
