The added bonus of having a media player built in means when she is not using it for school/work we can enjoy it as a small TV in our bedroom.

Difficult to configure this device. Be prepared for a minimum 16 hrs of study to get comfortable with device. Powering off is a 3sec hold on power button, a menu comes up and then 3sec more to turn it off. Other then that it's been fine. Not over impressed, but it does what I need.

The colors are so so and the picture seems to lag. The picture has kind of a matte finish to it. I ended up returning it and bought something else.

The monitor was DOA(dead on arrival). I was eagerly looking forward to getting it up and running but every attempt to power it up failed. All I got was a faint glow "flash" indicating that power was on but nothing... not even a splash screen/logo. Returned the monitor and because I like the features so much, I am willing to give it a second shot. Purchased a replacement along with Geeksquad protection. Very disappointed after being a happy Samsung customer for many years. Replacement to arrive in two days. I'll try to update if possible.

Coming from an older Apple 27" Thunderbolt display, the monitor is fuzzy and hazy. With a Mac, all of the widgets are fuzzy and the colors are blown out. The TV features are ok and seem to be geared at maybe a college student or someone that might be limited on space. Honestly, I would pass on this monitor. There are better options for less money. I will be returning.
