But it has so many bugs it makes it a huge, unreliable pain. First, it's finicky connecting UBC-C to my macbook. Half the time I have to unplug the monitor and reboot it to get it to recognize my mac. I've tried to contact Samsung support, as it appears to be a firmware/software issue and they offer no help. Skip it, great product idea that was poorly executed.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL. very disappointed. Samsung has always had good monitors in my opinion, but this is unacceptable. Now I have to re-pack it, take the stand off, and lug it to Best Buy which is no easy walk in the city. I will be looking at LG options for a few hundred bucks more. Should have known a monitor at this price with all these "features" would be cheaply made. When you attach the power cord I saw the backlighting turn on and then off, and it does this repeatedly. Tried to connect to Mac and my Mac screen flickered black for second (as if to connect to another display) and then nothing. Tried to launch Netflix on the M7...nothing, what a piece of garbage! I was really excited about this monitor but I refuse to exchange it for another after seeing another review of a user who's died shortly after purchase. I would rather have a dumb monitor that WORKS and then connect smart stuff to it! Stick to making monitors and leave the "smart" features to the companies that have the quality control in place to actually make a working product.

Open Box DOA again...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought an "Open Box", got it home and opened it. No instructions, screws to assemble stand, no power cable, and no remote. Note the power cable and remote are required for it to be functional. So I source a pwr cord from the office and my remote from my Samsung TV. The new monitor will not move off the Welcome screen, please set your language. I unplug and replug in the power. The remote will turn the monitor on and off, adjust the volume and mute the monitor so I think it works fine. I still can't accept the language, move to the next screen, or move to the settings menu. I call Samsung tech support. The very nice man with the very bad English asks me to unplug the monitor and plug it back in. No change. Then he tells me to go to the settings menu, which I inform him it will not do. At that point he decides it is broken and I should send it in for repairs. I said "No" I'll just take it back to Best Buy. Two out of three times the open box stuff is crap. They really don't test the stuff to make certain it works or all the required parts are there. Everytime I swear I won't buy open box stuff from Best Buy again. It would be fine if they would be honest about the products and let people know what they are buying.
