The first pixelation issue required it to be mailed in for repair. When it was returned I could not log in to accept terms and conditions due to "internet stability". Turns out this means it is not compatible with 5G. Their solution is to call your internet provider and they will not replace under the water. This monitor is not so smart.

Didn’t turn on, did returned and replacement

When I turned it on it didn’t turn on and after 30 mins it turned on by itself but then shut don’t again in 5 mins. I tried turning on but didn’t work, I had to return it. I still like the features so I am ordering again and return this one. Let’s hope replacement will be better. Really frustrating experience with samsung, didn’t expect it. I’ll try to update once I have new one.

Open box = missing parts.

Well, it is missing the screws needed to attach the stand. I don't care too much about the instructions (completely missing). The screws are not a big value but they make the difference between being able to use this thing or having to research the exact size needed etc. I am hoping customer service will help me out with that.

Reconnect to WiFi nightmare

Network’s won’t display, put info in manually still won’t connect. I tried resetting network settings and worst of all I can’t even reset the device to factory settings(not available in settings). I also dislike that there was not an Ethernet connection.

Monitor was dead on arrival

I re-packed it and took it to my local store less than a mile away, return process was pretty smooth. Before I placed the order, I noticed it is a new product with amazing specs and good expert reviews, just what I was looking for. After this experience, I'll keep looking for alternatives with 4k resolution and USB-C connectivity.

MONITOR FAILURE

We spoke with Samsung mentioned nothing they could do since the manufacturers warranty expired year. This is our 3rd monitor but WE AWARED the product is amazing if it works but you are on your own! Good luck

Mostly Happy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I impulsively selected this monitor and then before it even shipped wondered if I had made a mistake. The reviews aren’t great, to say the least, and I was also simply worried it might be too big on my desk to use as a 2nd monitor with another 27 inch computer. BUT… I also use an iPad Pro a ton and the temptation of having a 32 inch 4k HDR monitor for iPad gaming by merely connecting a single USB-C cord that would both handle audio/video AND charge was too much to reverse course. So that’s the main reason I really wanted this monitor and, unfortunately, the results are a mixed bag. First, it’s not too big at all. I love the size and loving having it as a 2nd screen with my main computer. Anything plugged into the HDMI ports (there are 2) looks just how it’s supposed to and I have no complaints. Vibrant picture. Crisp detail. Nice and bright. But that USB-C port… the dream, the hope… it’s let me down repeatedly. I don’t know if it’s an iPad issue or a Samsung one, but I cannot for the life of me get consistent connectivity, despite using the USB-C cable provided in the box (or any other I’ve tried). Sometimes the iPad connects immediately, charges, and works fantastically given the forced pillar boxing limitations of iPadOS currently. Gaming is great. Sound is fine. It all just works. But then sometimes I plug it in and the cable will only charge the iPad. It won’t display anything and no amount of restarting or replugging will correct it. I have no idea what that’s about and can find no help on Samsung’s site. You might be thinking, well hey - there’s still HDMI. That’s definitely true and I have a dongle that will let me connect the iPad via HDMI. That works absolutely fine to display the iPad screen to the monitor… but no charging. And I gotta use a dongle. Oh and there’s Airplay 2! I love having that option. If I’m just listening to a podcast and want to fling it to the monitor that’s, by far, the easiest option. But screen mirroring via Airplay looks bad. Like really bad. Fuzzy and not the correct resolution. I tried it with a Mac Mini as well and it was the same thing. To be honest, I’ve not done a ton of screen mirroring before so I can’t say if this is normal. But if you are thinking of buying this monitor to exclusively connect an iPad or Mac Mini to it via AirPlay you are going to want to rethink those plans. Sorry, but you’re gonna have to use HDMI for a consistent and appropriate looking video connection. So those are the things that disappoint me. And they’re big disappointments, but not total deal breakers in my opinion. Again, as a 2nd screen for a computer it just thrives and casual gaming is great on it, imo. I also love having the ability - which I didn’t even think I’d use! - to play content natively on the Samsung through the built-in apps they offer. I absolutely played a movie on Amazon Prime on the Samsung while I was working on my 27 inch computer right beside it. That was great and the app is so much better than going through their site. (It’s basically the same as the app on the AppleTV/Roku). They’ve even got a native Apple Music app on here which surprised me and which, yes, works exactly as you’d hope. So glad it came with a remote control, too, making the whole process easier. Would I use it as a main TV? No way. That’s just me, but there are definitely better dedicated TVs you can buy for not much more. HDR content doesn’t really pop on this like it does on my main TV, but it’s nice the Samsung can play it. But really, this should likely be considered a monitor first with some very nice extra features. It stinks that people have had quality control issues with this model and I’m crossing my fingers on that front. But all in all I’m pretty happy with all that this monitor can do and the picture I get when using it with a computer. The iPad USB-C dream is still a bit of a nightmare, but who knows - maybe a software update could fix that. That would absolutely change my overall opinion of the M7 to an even higher one.

Second monitor I received was stuck on 30hz. Was probably a cable issue but still the whole situation with this monitor just left a poor taste In my mouth. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

HP Omen > this

Had the hardest time setting up because it kept going into “sleep mode” in which we called for support and googled answers, but no solution. Worse. I heard good reviews from those who got it work, but I was not lucky. Returned the item and got the HP Omen.

I could set it up and it worked. However, if I shut off or put my iMac computer to sleep, I would need to re-set it up. I returned it.

Awesome monitor, basically a small TV

Super sharp 4K crystal clear picture with the unmatched image quality and colors everyone has come to appreciate from Samsung displays. This is visually perfect as a computer monitor but is also basically a smart tv. Not sure what makes the distinction between monitor and tv but the only thing this lacks is a coaxial connection which is rarely used anymore, otherwise it’s a tv. Simple setup to get connected to WiFi and then you’re ready to stream and watch an endless ocean of content. The applications interface is very smooth and intuitive, works great, no glitches. I love this thing in my office, allows me to work for a while and then quickly and easily stream something to watch when I need a break.
