Have a Samsung 50 inch led television in my bedroom but was a very expensive older model. 1080p but did not have WiFi capabilities. This blue Ray player makes this possible and we constantly use it. Not to mention we still watch blue Ray movies and dvd movies also.This is 3d capable and for movies like avatar with the 3d version can't wait to get some glasses and watch it in bed!

Samsung Smart 3D Blu-ray player, all I need to play my favorite movies.

This is a nice 3D DVD player with a lot of features. If you do not have a Smart TV this will be all you need to have a Smart Home System. The player has Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. HDMI for easy connection to your TV.

My grandson is happy to be born into this electronic age. He is thrilled with the Samsung 3D WiFi Blue Ray Player. It took him little time to have it set up and running. I can't testify to personal use of this particular product, but I have had many positive experiences with Samsung, phones and television sets. I'm glad that Samsung has a presence at Best Buy.

I purchased the J5900 but realized I don't own a 3D TV so I exchanged this for the non--3D J5700. Same specs but minus the 3D. This little player is great. Operates smoothly and fast. The apps are great. The only minor complaint is you can not tell if the player is on or off. The only way to see when on is when your changing the source and the Blu-ray icon shows.

Player was surprisingly easy to set up with our new HD Samsung TV. Really requires no instructions to use. We were watching a movie a short time after taking it out of the box. Good quality for a great price!

For a Samsung blu-ray player that costs under a hundred bucks, you can't expect much, but it plays 3D blu-rays, it has built-in wifi, and it works beautifully. My only complaint is that the device looks cheap and there's no display on the device. Still, these are minor complaints considering what you get at that price.

We have had nothing but good results. The DVDs play well, even had a chance to use the 3D DVD with flying results. It connects to the wireless with a minor little issue, once in a great while the wireless with Netflix or Hulu seem to give a slight lag for a moment, but not usually. Small, easy to transport.

This is a great 3D Blu-ray player, and it was in my price range. There are a ton of apps and extras. I definitely recommend it!

We bought this blu-ray player to replace our old one that wasn't working properly anymore. The new player works very well and loads discs very quickly. My only complaint is that there is no power light on the front of the device, so it's difficult to know whether you've remembered to turn it off.

This device for the money has an excellent image, the apps such as Netflix are very good, and overall we are very happy with player. There are a few minor drawbacks such as: 1. There are no button controls on the unit, so if you misplace the remote you are out of luck. 2. There are no indicator lights to see if the unit is on. 3. When you turn on your TV, the player will sometimes grab control from other devices forcing you to switch inputs. Overall, these annoyances are the only things preventing me from giving this 5 stars. We are happy with the player.

This Samsung DVD player was easy to set up and is easy to operate. My only qualm is that is does not have an indicator light for power on or off.

It was very easy to set up and use. I like the style and design, but wish it had a little screen, where I could see the status. Otherwise I love it

I needed an additional blue ray player for the tv I watch while doing chores downstairs -- ironing, cooking, dishes, and the like. I've had positive experience with Samsung products, so was drawn to the BD-J5900/ZA. Set up was a breeze, and it performs well.

It's ok there are a few issues I found with it. 1) no display 2) no power light indicator and buttons don't light up making it very had to tell the difference between open and power. 3) no play memory to pick up where you left off There then those it's great just very very basic I just didn't realize how basic it was being it wasn't the cheapest DVD player.

well I like this unit its small and not to bulky and very easy to use its pretty much plug and play the system is reasonable in cost and works with my TV like peas in a pod. no complains no problems

I was looking for a 3D Blu-ray player to replace my last one that was acting up. I had been looking for a few weeks and found this one at an amazing price. Easy setup and now my family and are enjoying watching our Hi-Def movies on the new player.

First the bad. I would have to agree with many people regarding the surprise you get when you un-box this Blu-ray the first thing that came to mind is: how in the world Samsung considered to place its brand in such a poor quality thing? The plastic is so cheap I have seen better quality in rings and watches from a toy capsule vending machine, and the fact that they haven't spend a dollar extra in a simple on/off led light circuit is a slap in the face. The remote shows the same craftsmanship so I won't bore anyone with it. Now to the not so bad. It does the job it supposed to do. If you get a Blu-ray player for streaming you get the wrong device lots of better options for the same price with better software, if you want to see a movie in HD format not available for streaming or just because you own it, this will do the trick. We may be a resilient race in the border of extinction but until Netflix, Amazon or Apple include mega blockbusters at a reasonable time as Netflix has with the disk service (or red box) I will continue to watch movies the old fashion... at least until this player melts; which could be sooner than the expected.

This unit replaced another blu-ray player that would not remain connected to network. Easy installation. Since installed we have not had any network issues. Grandkids can navigate the menus. Picture quality far superior to old unit.

Set out looking for a simple DVD player, learned about this new item from the sales person. What a great deal that this can turn your conventional TV into a smart TV. both DVD player and Streaming work well and set up was easy.
