Crashes daily
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 2 of these players less than 6 months ago, both have issues with netflix, both crash regularly sometimes multiple times daily. Both will also crash once in a great while viewing Bluray movies. The latest firmware (10/2015) didnt solve the problem and from what I can see it doesnt appear that Samsung has any intention of solving this issue any time soon. I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy another brand. I have 2 Sony BRD and have yet to have a problem with them, if a Samsung rep stumbles upon this post, Please contact Sony and ask them to help you with rewriting your firmware coding. Consumer Reports listed these as a recommended buy, I however would not.

Not as advertised

Upon receiving unit in mail I noticed that any 4K information was left off the box, so I checked online. SAMSUNGs website doesn't mention this has 4K up scaling nor does Amazon. I should have looked around online before purchasing. Will be returning and shopping elsewhere

Also, I don't care for the menu ... my Sony was easier to use but had poor picture.

Non-functioning after 7 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my Mother-in-law for Christmas 2015, and just found out today it's been acting up for a while, and is now non-functional. Since she lives several hours away, I have to wait until I can get it back from her to figure out the issue, and find out what recourse we have. You'd think that one of the more expensive mid-tier Bluray players would last longer. I have a Sony Blu-ray that's something like 5 years old, and it's still rocking. Good thing my Visa gives me added warranty

Terrible product

This is the second Samsung - BD-J5900/ZA - Streaming 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player - Black that i am buying because wireless on the other one did not function properly. I'm taking this product back to Best Buy and i will probably not be buying another Samsung Blu Ray player anymore. I am very disappointed.

Constatnly have to unplug and re-plug in power cor

From early on, it frequently won't turn on and I have to unplug the power cord and re-plug in back in. I have tried other outlets, including ones that I've had other devices plugged into without issue. For the past month or two, I have to unplug and re-plug into the outlet every time I want to use it to get it to work at all. PITA!!!!
