I had high hopes for this Blu Ray Player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My 5 year old Sony Blu Ray Player got fried in a freak power spike (through the cable box).I needed to replace it and an I found an opportunity to try the Samsung player. I was disappointed in the picture quality and the user interface. The GUI seemed like it was designed for a first grader. I returned it and went back to Sony Blu Ray and I'm satisfied once again.

Good blu ray player

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The unit was great when I first got it... easy to set up and it worked well. 6 months later, we played a BR disk on it. then we tried to play a second one and it would not read any BR disks. Since it was under warranty, I called Samsung and went through the troubleshooting process. They finally gave me a repair number and said I would be contacted in 1-2 days. After 4 days, I had to call Samsung again after no one contacted me. I insisted on being referred to the Executive Division. They are supposed to call me soon. I'm not happy with Samsung as I had a Samsung HD TV go out after only 15 months, only to find out that no one would even look at it or repair it. Then the Blu-Ray Player went out and that was the last straw of my patience. I have several other Samsung devices, phones and tablets that I hope will be OK for a while without trouble.

Nice upscaling blu-ray player
