I have Samsung tv so it works well with other devices

I like everything about this product except the main menu - horrible design. The favorites are hard coded into the menu and cannot be changed. Fine if you like the MLB network but you can't change them - I checked with Samsung. Disappointing to say the least.

There are some nice features of this product that we like, like only having house one remote with the player & TV. But there is a major issue....it will not play all DVD's. That is why we got rid of the old one & bought this one. So what is the problem here??

I loved this product until it started freezing and skipping 6 months later. The website recommends unplugging for 2 minutes then restarting. That only works if I do it every time I play a disc. No thanks.

Loved it until it quit loading dvd and blu ray. It has quit working after only having it for a little more than 3 months. Paperwork says it needs service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One major flaw I hoped would resolve itself with updates but never did. When I go from Pandora to Netflix as soon as start a show it would begin to stall then entire unit would reset.

It was Samsung and it was expensive I figured I was getting my money's worth, but the unit would not play brand new Blu-ray disc from Redbox, went online to check for a firmware update no update was available, then went online to see if anyone else had this problem, come to find out it's some sort of anti-piracy software that Samsung is not paying for so that the player can decode the disc. very disappointed took it back won't buy again this is the third time I've had a major issue with a Samsung product I think I'm going to cross them off my list.

This won't work for 4-k upscaling. The disks won't play but Blu-ray will. If you are after a Blu-ray player, then this is fine. If you are after a true 4-K experience, then you must go for a true 4-k DVD player only...no matter what the BB associate says. It is like putting a "normal" DVD into a Blu-ray only player...it just won't work, back in the day : ) I already had the Samsung Blu-ray/DVD player so this wouldn't work and when I got the Samsung 4-K player then the Blu-ray went to another TV.

I thought it was a 4k player but apparently it only does 4k upscaling. So I took it back to the store.

It's a blu ray player. The motor on the dvd loader sounds like its old. The blu player has issues paying even if it has one smudge on it. Get the protection plan.

First use gave a great picture, but it stopped working less than a week after purchase.

I brought this blue-ray player mainly for streaming movies on Hulu and Netflix but all it does is buffer. Very disappointed.

It's an OK player wasn't expecting what they told me at the store I was expecting a 4K player not a Blu-ray upscale player

I had to buy a new player since my 10yo Sony wouldn't load AVATAR. I thought a new Samsung would be OK since I have a Samsung TV. I was wrong. It updated fine but when we tried to play AVATAR the player got extremely hot right at the HDMI connection and would constantly skip and hesitate. I ended up returning it and bought a bargain Sony player and its plays AVATAR seemlessly.

Read the reviews and thought this unit would be a good replacement for my Panasonic player. NOT. First one would not play random discs. Played some no problem, took a long time for others and would not play others at all. Exchanged it at BB and the 2nd one made a loud whining noise like the motor was failing. returned it to BB an got another Panasonic..no problems yet.

Have had a number of blu-ray players over the years, including a very expensive Oppo model, but had never tried a Samsung until this one. After less than eight hours of use, it began freezing and skipping on a disc I knew played fine. The next day I returned the Samsung to Best Buy and replaced it with the Sony BDP-S3700, which has worked flawlessly since I got it.

I could not get it to play certain BlueRayDVD. Called customer service and they could not help.

I have tried everything to get this DVD blue ray to stay on but cuts off every 15 minutes. Best Buy would do nothing because I didn't spend more money to get my money back. Samsung wants me to ship it to them which I will but what a pain in the neck to deal with. By the way good luck trying to understand the customer service people at Samsung

I purchased hdmi cables, tilted mount,curved 4k tv and this player WILL NOT PLAY 4K DISC

Product is slow to respond to remote commands and occasionally randomly reboots itself.
