Simple and easy initial set-up. 3D is available if I wanted to use that feature. Up-scaling to "near - UHD" of none HD videos like regular DVDs work but of course ONLY up to the maximum resolution of your TV or projector. Never the less, any picture are displayed beautifully. I also tested to connect a wireless keyboard with touch pad like Logitech K400 and it works - so using the Samsung's web browser feature was nice. For me, the best feature to mention is the HDMI - CEC connection. When connected to a TV with HDMI-CEC connection like Sharp 4K, the remote control pairs very well, so using only one remote instead of 2 is very convenient. This is an excellent bluray and streaming device. Bluray quality is fantastic both 2D & 3D. Excellent sound too. I am very much impressed with streaming capabilities. I use it for netflix, vudu & amazon video. All have excellent picture and sound quality. For amazon, it takes about 20 seconds to show up HD. For others, it is an isntant HD

Not the best functioning but does the trick. Upgrade it is worth it.

Bought this to watch our first 4K DVD. Set it all up, pizza served, kids ready to watch the movie, and then the screen reads, "Cannot read this format." Disappointed. Taking it back. Plays blu-rays just fine.

It sometimes doesn't want to go. It rejects the DVDs or blue ray

I found out that this was 4k upscaling but wouldn't play as 4 K.

Turns off shuts down for no reason would not recom.

I ended up giving the item away to a close friend.

I brought this bluray player 80 miles home from the nearest best buy store and it wouldn't play blurays, wouldnt recognize there was a disc in the player, nothing. Waste of time and money. I brought it back as soon as I had time to make the trip.

Bought the unit didn't get to try it for about 3 weeks would not play took it back return policy 15 days over that so it is junk..Be along time before i buy at Best Buy again never heard of 15 day policy for new equipment..Buyer beware...

Should of done more research on this. It apparently is notorious for bad firmware. It wouldn't play ANY blue ray disc. I verified said discs in two other players and were fine. Returned for a different brand.

Just about every other (Bought, not homemade DVD) would stop playing and freeze on the picture about 1/2 way through the movie. Very distressing. Glad I had bought the 4 yr warranty from Geek Squad.

Continuously powers down and reboots itself. Absolutely frustrating when you are trying to watch a movie and don’t have time to wait for it to reboot 8 times before deciding to play.

Was great at first. After using it to watch Netflix and a blu Ray three times a week it just stopped working with Netflix and then just stopped playing dvds.

Bought this unit to play 4k movies on my new 4k tv and it only upscales lower quality contecnt to near 4k. Promptly returned and purchased an xbox one s instead.

I hate this for the price it does not play 4k discs and I was told it did REAL big inconvenience

This player performs as expected. It loads really fast!! I was surprised by that. It has dual band wifi which comes in handy if you have a dual band router so you can have it on a separate band if you like. I have it hard wired to Cat6 though. The remote is a standard Samsung bland remote. Nothing special there. The upscaling is good. Streaming features are good too if you have a subscription to Netflix.

DID NOT WORK WITH 4K DVD DID WORK ON BLU-RAY DVD DISC. I RETURNED IT.

Broke after 1 yr old and 2 days worked good before that
