Customers are pleased with the BD-J6300's picture quality, ease of use, and 4K upscaling capabilities. Many also appreciate its affordable price and the convenience of built-in Wi-Fi and streaming options. The compact size is a plus for those with limited space. However, some users find the remote control and button placement less than ideal.

Does not hook up to a amp.

Player was good, the controls are not so why can't they make it simple just hit play. My problem was we used it to play moves with a Epson high end projector, this player does not come with the yellow red and white cord holes, just a HMDI which does not work with a projector when you need an amp.

Was an OK player. Looked like Bluray for sure but didn't quite look like it was up scaled to 4k.

Arrived on time, tried to set it up and had to have help from Samsung customer service. Tried to use the apps (NetFlix) and it wouldn't load. Talked to netflix customer service and couldn't get netflix to play. Tried all over again the next day and the remote would not operate the bluray player. Called Samsung again and received a little help but it the fix only lasted till i got off the phone with them. NetFlix would never download and the remote would not operate the Bluray player.
When I ordered this off the internet it didn't say it was a 2015 model so i don't think the advertising was correct either. I don't know how this thing got 4 stars but I gave it 1 because it was black in color like the ad said. Do not buy this.....

Talked with Samsung service twice with no help. Hit or miss playing a BluRay disc. Storage faults or would not load the disc. I did a hard reset twice and it still had an issue. I put in a different disc and it had the same issue. Same disc worked on sons PlayStation 3. Returned to store and purchased Sony BluRay player. Evidently some players work with no problems. Guess I just received a bad one or it didn't like being attached to a 55 inch Sony XBR. No more Samsung for me.

Interface nightmare

Worst of many fine BB buys...Ever! Complaints as listed:
1) Every command from the remote followed by a long pause before the machine responded;
2) After many experiments, I was unable to make it fast-forward or rewind while using any of the streaming applications;
3) On-screen interfaces not intuitive;
I was called out of the country right after this purchase and was gone too long to use the return policy, so it's going into the trash tomorrow.
Deeply frustrating.

Terrible Menu Design

The player itself works fine. My only complaint is the menu design. The HOME menu displays "Recommended Apps" and "My Apps". Well they're not "My Apps", they are preloaded and cannot be changed. To access more Apps you must click on Samsung Apps and choose one then. Crazy but true. I contacted Samsung and they confirmed those preselected Apps cannot be changed. Hopefully someone can prove me wrong. Just beware if you don't like having apps like MLB.com preselected for you.

Bought a brand new one of these yesterday, got it home & set up.... but it wouldn't play any of my blu-ray discs (which are the right region code for the player). After 2 calls to Samsung taking several hours of them giving me the song & dance that I'm trying to play discs that are the wrong region code, and having to try all these updates, resets, firmware updates it still won't play a blu-ray. So they tell me the blu-ray laser is defective and that I should return it for exchange if possible. So exchanged for another brand new player today... SAME PROBLEM! Won't play blu-rays, Samsung couldn't figure it out either after another hour on the phone with them. They recommended returning it for a different Samsung model-- no way. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
Bought a Sony BDP-S6500 & love it! Worked right away!

NOT 4k

Very disappointed. Bought this for a Christmas present along with a 4k HDR TV and several 4K HDR Blu-ray discs - and just sat down tonight to watch the movies only to learn that the player will not play 4k discs. Will return tomorrow and get one that does.

Bought this Samsung Blu-Ray BDJ-6300 to replace an old Sony BluRay player that was starting to fail. This player is always freezing-up and does not respond to commands from the remote at random times. I have only had it for 2-3 weeks and have already had to unplug it twice. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Go with a Sony or an LG!

Buyer Beware

If I can give this zero stars I would. I do not know if the issue lies with Samsung for a defected product or Best Buy for not packing a product properly for shipping. Whatever the case is I purchased this DVD player brand new and it does not turn on. I now have to drive miles away to my nearest Best Buy so they can fix it. Others may have had good experiences with this product but beware you may also get a dud.

The box was sealed, and the contents appeared to be new, but the on/off switch was stuck upon opening. Will return for the same item.
