Almost all the Samsung players got good ratings and it's got a lot of great features such as apps for Netflix and Amazon. My DVDs look really good on here. We've been collecting them since before there was blu-ray and that was important to us. My only complaint is that, once the player is turned off with a disk in it, it doesn't always pick up where it left off as my old DVD player did. I wind up having to search for the point where I left off. That being said, I would still recommend this to friends and family.

Hoping for a really "Smart" player

Hard to believe these modern players are still pretty "Dumb". Software drives me nuts, from the slooooow process of filling out name and so on to arranging icons for my favorite channels.This is my 4th Samsung BluRay player. The next one has always been smarter than the last, but jeez, the lack of bluetooth and , or a keyboard, and your picks of what I want for channels make this an all day setup.
