This is a great hood with a few caveats if you're doing a retrofit. It has a powerful exhaust, looks super sleek, and has a 3 min timer to keep exhausting after power is turned off. The biggest shortcoming is that the hood being flat causes some fumes to just spill over the edge rather than be collected in a traditional cover that comes down. I was disappointed that the bluetooth connection to the stove only works on very specific models of induction stoves. My mid-level Samsung induction stove which has bluetooth control doesn't work with it! My biggest complaint is that the install is strictly tailored to a custom build where you install it without existing cabinetry. It's a real pain to replace a traditional hood that exhausts up through cabinetry. It's designed to push the unit up & then come back down and rest on the mounting plate but that won't work when you're trying to mount it flush with an upper cabinet. I had to attach some simpson strong ties to the back of the unit and screw those to the wall instead. Get yourself a couple Harbor Freight Cargo Bars which expand to raise the unit into place and it'll make the installation so much easier. The beautiful hood cover also couldn't be used because the cabinetry exhaust wasn't originally centered. The minimalist buttons are a bit confusing - you need to turn on the hood to get the fan to come on - push the fan speed button all you want and it won't do anything on its own. Then it cycles between low/med/hi/off. The 3 min auto off is a great idea but it confuses people so there should be a 4th mode on the power button that really shuts it off.

Picked this hood range up as a promo with the stove I bought in Jan. Hood range took additional month to get. Did the install myself. Changed the look of my kitched by removing the old ca inet hiding to old range vent. I havent yet reviewed the whole manual yet, but I would say I would like the exhaust fan to defauly to either the middle or high setting when turning on

Love the sleek modern look of this hood, and the fact that I could get a color that matched my Samsung range. Beware if you need a chimney extension, which is rediculously expensive.

This range goes perfectly with my SAMSUNG BESPOKE refrigerator and range. The WiFi feature is pretty cool. And easy to use.
