If the ceiling height is 8 feet, it will be quite cramped near the ceiling. If there are ceiling joists, a custom offset duct will be needed. The inlet is 5 inches, and the outlet can be 6 or 5 inches, but the thickness cannot exceed 3 inches. Other positive points include a built-in air purifier function, a built-in backflow prevention valve, and exquisite workmanship. Installation is somewhat complicated, and the installation height is quite tight. Professional installation is recommended; it's considered complex for individual users. The product itself is excellent; the installation difficulty is due to the wooden structure of the house. It's highly recommended.

The box was poorly packaged and dented. Tried to reach out to support which got me absolutely nowhere besides excessive hold time. Not my first hassle with samsungs awful customer support, all with no resolution.

Was the right design, had the right features. Was really looking forward to the auto features when it sensed the air needed to be cleaned while cooking. Unfortunately I couldn’t actually install it without completely redesigning the kitchen. The bracket that attaches to the wall to hold the unit up is very small compared the unit I was replacing. With it centered on the stove, one of the screw holes lines up directly with a gas pipe. The hood would look silly off center so I had no choice but to return, wasting $30 shipping charge. So make sure from the specs page that it actually fits exactly where you need it, not just the unit itself, but the mounting brackets too.

Hood was easy to install and looks great with our other Bespoke appliances. Works exactly as described. The only thing I would change is ability to change the color temperature of the light.
