These worked great in the beginning but we have a VERY large house and began having connectivity issues. We ended up swapping to the Google Mesh option - but it was nice having the app on your phone to control the power to the tv's etc (which tied into the SmartThings). Not bad, but prefer the google devices.

This is not the fastest mesh router system. It certainly is not the most configurable for router functions and special needs. What it does do the best is have your SmartThings home automation have a very good signal at three distinct points in your home where the mesh units are located. This provides you with excellent control and communication to home automation equipment without relying too much on the natural mesh of communication between home automation devices relaying the signals to each other. I had the Wi-Fi up and running in a short amount of time using the required App on my smartphone. I then configured a few spare home automation items (my main HA hub was Wink 2) with the App and tested them out and they performed perfectly every time. I can use my NETGEAR Arlo Pro cameras to trigger things with the SmartThings HA as well now, something I couldn't do with Wink 2 hub. If you need more speed in between your wireless clients and/or have a very fast internet service speed, I would suggest the PRO version of this system, which has 4x4 AC radios available to clients for much faster speeds. This system is good for basic, almost non-configurable whole home Wi-Fi coverage and home automation coverage thanks to its distributed mesh topology.

Bought this to replace my router and extender with mesh WiFi, and give me the added function of controlling my Z-Wave devices as well.
After 2 days trying to get them all connected, I gave up and returned it to the store. It should not be this hard, And it's not like I'm a novice. I have 30 + years in IT.

I was so excited to buy this product. I’ve always wanted a mesh WiFi system and smart things. This is two in one. I started the initial setup and the main hub never obtained an ip address. Just to make sure there was nothing wrong I have a backup Apple Airport Express. I did a fac reset and did an entire setup with no problem. Tried the Connect home once again and it would not connect to the internet. After over an hour I gave up. I am a so disappointed in Samsung. I’ve read a ton of bad reviews and still gave it a chance smh. Please steer away from this product, no wonder why they dropped the price from $299 to $99. Knew it was to good to be true.

I love everything Samsung but I'm glad this came for free with our family hub 2.0 fridge. I pull 300+ download speeds from comcast off their wirless router anywhere in our 1500 sq foot house. I hooked all 3 of these up and they hardly pull 40, what's the point haha

I have a 3600 sq feet 2 story home and my WiFi access is in my media room. The internet slowed down and when I added more devices to the att WiFi, it significantly was slower. This device worked and has made streaming faster.

Samsung connect puts Wi-Fi and smart hub integration into one device and it works well! Setting it up was super easy through the app. I have a galaxy phone so it came with the app already. With the app, finding and adding devices is a breeze. It even shows you a list of devices that were already connected via Bluetooth. 1 hub was plenty for a 2 story 2500 sq ft home where I tested it. 3 hubs well placed will get you signal in a close to 5000sq ft place. The advantage with this router is that it's also a smart hub. I can control my wireless door lock, my Arlo cameras, window sensors and lights. The app places all the conductivity on one easy page. If you are looking for your router upgrade but also want smart capabilities, this is it. Why have 2 devices when 1 can do the job and do it better? I am very satisfied. I recommend it.

The Samsung Connect Home 3-Pack gives you the ability to add W-Fi connectivity to a fairly large space, and adds the convenience of controlling SmartHome devises too!
Setting up the Samsung Connect Wi-Fi router requires the use of a smartphone/tablet, but the app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
Setup was actually fairly simple, and I liked the fact that each of the three units had both In and Out Ethernet ports. They didn’t seem to rely on seeing each other as much as some other brands of mesh networking devices.
The units are small and sleek looking, and the cables included are very well designed and constructed. That was a nice change for once!
As I do not own any SmartHome devices, I was unable to test that functionality, but from what I have read in other reviews it seems to be easy to set yup and works well.
Based on my experience with these units, I can highly recommend them for someone wanting to add Wi-Fi to their network, especially in a multi-story house. And if you happen to have Ethernet jacks available, all the better!

Love the idea of merging the SmartThings Hub into the Router; however, I would like to have the full advanced features of the router under my control.

The Samsung Connect Home takes a stab at offering a wireless mesh that supports your smart home gadgets. The thought of this makes the techie in me jump for joy, but execution is key.
The packaging for the Connect Home system is very 2017 - minimalist with a clean, elegant look. You wouldn't think there were 3 APs with power cables in there. Great packaging job. Once opened, the nodes come off as clean and elegant. You can place them in public view without harming the aesthetics of the room. The wiring is thin and sleek. Samsung did a great job in the design department - they seem to be good at that right now.
Once connected and plugged in, the Connect Home has to be configured using the Samsung Connect app found in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store... Well, I have a Windows Phone, of all things, so I can't get the app necessary to configure the device! This, in my opinion, is one of the weaknesses of most of these products. If you want mobile support, create a mobile web page that can be opened when you connect to the router. Good thing I have an Android from work. I used installed the app, and set up the first node, with a small hiccup - lost connection once. The other nodes were also pretty easy to setup, making the initial setup process tolerable.
The wifi performance from the Connect Home system is just average, and I mean average router, average. It has decent throughput when devices are closer to nodes, but it deteriorates quickly with distance and barriers. It's almost as if the nodes are needed for the standard sized family home. Another issue, which is one I have with most mesh systems, is that it can't meet my networking needs without purchasing a switch of some sort. What about all my wired devices? I like gaming systems, NAS, POE cameras connected, but there is only a single out port on each node. Thought: at least give us a 4-port on a single node, heck, maybe all of them. The single out port could deter the advanced user, which is the guy who is likely to spend the $400 for the technology. Speaking of those advanced users, the networking tools could use some work as well. They are sufficient for the average user, but advanced, they are not.
So, why did I give this device a good rating? Well, it's average wifi with awesome smart home abilities. SmartThings is built into this thing, and with the addition of Z-Wave Plus, along with ZigBee and full wifi integration, this thing serves as a smart-home beast. I think this was the smartest move made for this mesh system. It makes this one of the most robust smart home systems on the market. The nodes provide fantastic coverage and response, and there is direct communication with networked devices, rather than having a separate connection. SmartThings even has a Windows Phone app - lol.
Overall, this is a great device for someone with average wireless networking needs and wants smart home integration. It could have been THE go to device for the tech enthusiast as well with some minor additions/changes and a little bit more powerful wifi experience.
