Bought this to shore up the mediocre sound on my Samsung EH5000 TV. I don't want an elaborate home theatre setup, just decent sound from the TV with an integrated remote control. Samsung EH TVs have a nice picture for the money but they don't have variable audio output jacks or ARC. I was hoping I could get better sound and avoid remote clutter by buying a Samsung sound bar. The included remote does operate a Samsmung TV so I give it credit for that. I haven't figured out if the TV remote can operate the soundbar though. Unfortunately, it isn't worth the effort since the sound isn't much better than the TV's speakers. Comparing side by side it is only SLIGHTLY richer sounding but won't it play any louder. Not surprising since it turns out 2 of the midrange drivers are just for show. They're not even passive radiators. It also seem to have some static and cracking as the volume nears max. I've heard better sound from $50 computer speakers. I wish I had just opened up the TV case and routed the internal speaker leads to a 3.5mm jack. Then I could feed a standard speaker set with volume controled from the TV.

we did not get a refurbished one but if this works...that is a great price!! we love the way our soundbar looks and sounds in our family room.
