The Best And the best. Now i read a lot of reviews but i wanted to try it myself after all, that thing just amazing and crazy good. i used it just like a desktop computer but cleaner. I belive samsung should focus on this product more than a lot of other products they have, They need to work with third application to improve this thing, for example, they need to work with netflix to fix the full desktop app, and they need to improve the speed of switching from to another app. But the best and the best. yes buy it. Also your flash drive work perfect, you can create folders. I used Chrome the most because of the desktop version it give you for browsing.

Those of you that understand my reference in my title know that Microsoft was working on this with Windows phone years ago. That doesn’t take away from what Samsung has accomplished in the least. This is the most under-rated feature I’ve seen from Samsung in years. I am using my Samsung Dex to type this review in Microsoft Word right now. I have a Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse that uses a tiny USB dongle. I’m looking at a 24” Dell 1080P Touch Panel that actually works like a large phone touchscreen. I’m generally a Windows 10 user and this Samsung Dex experience is more logical and intuitive to me than Apples OSX or iOS. Most apps are not optimized for Dex but they still run. That means some will be in Portrait mode as if they were a phone screen. They will be windowed however so really all the functionality is there. All of the apps I actually need optimized, are already. That would be my Office 365 apps, the Samsung Email, Photos, Etc. and Chrome. Anyone that reviews this as anything less than revolutionary has an agenda guiding them. The reason I would make such a bold statement is this. Some College / High School students could use a Note 8 + Dex in place of a cell + laptop. If a family with limited income were not able to afford a PC with monthly internet for every child in the house. They could theoretically get an S8 up to a Note 8 ( I know its $1000 but the subsidy helps) and use their TV or any HDMI display with a USB keyboard and mouse and provide a full computing experience with Cellular internet with this DEX unit. No other phones currently do that in the Android or Apple iOS sphere period. Not even the competitors upcoming flagships. Lastly it works. It actually fricking works well. Enjoy.

I hope more companies start looking into this type of technology is very convenient to be able to forget about a backpack with your laptop, either way I always plug my laptop to external Hardware, now I could get rid of all of that stuff and travel lighter, we tested Hangouts, calls, sms and even Netflix with the help of some Dex app and it works like a charm. Maybe not a full replacement for more expensive tasks in terms of computation power but good tech.

This is a must have for Samsung owners. A wireless keyboard, wireless mouse and monitor or TV screen converts your phone in to a desktop computer experience. A+ all the way around. Easy setup to any monitor/LCD with an HDMI cord.

The only flaw I could find is you had to take your phone case off every time you wanted to dock it. And I have a fairly slim and minimal case. Unfortunate

Easy plug and play. Small portable. Just plug in keyboard and mouse you can work on almost anything. Little downside is some software or apps that work with windows can't use on Android. Keep your phone cool with a fan and act like a charging dock. Work with usb C , so galaxy 8 and above can work with this device

This small device is amazing, I do not own any form of computer so I would use my phone and google docs/powerpoints for my school work which by the way is a free service compared to Microsoft's programs. This device just makes it easier to connect a keyboard and type away. I use my TV as the screen and it's far more comfortable to do my work since it's used as a mirror in a way, bigger font bigger screen. On top of that, I can watch videos without using up my mobile hotspot data! Instead it uses the unlimited data plan used on the phone rather than tethering gigs. How amazing is that! Good bye cable and good bye home internet. Samsung Galaxy devices are powerful things.

This turns your Galaxy smartphone into a computer. I am in IT and I've used this as my sole support device for 3 months now. Amazing performance with the Note 8. Seriously buy one and price match . Work the $$ no BS

Now I can connect my Samsung S8+ to my computer and projector using a HMDI cable. However, it is not a wireless charger. You need to plug your phone into a small built in connector at the base to charge.

I wish they are working hard on something like this to go big because now a day everyone is on mobile smart phones and this kind of implementation needs to go big in my opinion since this one in the state of still really being buggy.

I gave my son the Samsung Dex Station for Christmas to connect his Galaxy 8 to his desk top monitor by docking and get a charge at the same time.

Since starting nursing school i purchased dex and galaxy note 8, i dont even need a computer anymore. Im so glad i switched from iphone!! And i was a firm apple product believer until now! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my dex and note 8! (I would have even been this happy with the regular 8!)

I really love this device, I bought it when it was on sale and didn't have internet service in my home. It works flawlessly. Essentially it turns your galaxy s8/s8plus or galaxy s9 or 9plus into a desktop computer. It has the USB C connection and cannot be used with older model phones beyond the S8.

It was a cool toy. I used it to mirror my phone to my TV. I did return it though because it was not anything that would use regularly. Also, with all the apps you can install on your PC now, they do the same thing. It is great if you are someone that would need a device like this.

I don't use my desktop PC much anymore, it's getting older, just sitting there and all. That being said, I decided to purchase the Dex dock in order to supplement my new Galaxy Note 8. I was very surprised at the functionality of this, it does everything I need it to. Amazing, I can carry my "pc" in my pocket nowadays. Will this replace a full fledged PC? No, it won't, nor was it designed to do that. It will however, show how powerful your Galaxy S8/Note 8/S9 really are. It's just a matter of time before smartphones really do replace PCs by use of a docking station.

I wanted a dock with a wired network connection, and the DeX Dock Station looked like the perfect option. However, I have a Galaxy S9 and not an S8. I took a chance and ordered, and the DeX Dock Station works flawlessly with the S9 as well. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Plugged my note 8 into it today, have never been happier
