Works as described, I wish keyboard and mouse worked better on games like pubg.

Literally turns my phone into a gaming computer can't live without it.

When i learned i could turn my phone into a computer... i was like, yooo.... my man... this is awesome.... i'm in.... So far I've used it a handful of times... was great experience (other then Netflix being Netflix and making you have to tweak it to get it full screen.... just let me watch my show, yooo... wassup?) but overall... this is a great thing for my phone!

I think its a great idea but it not going to replace a laptop or desktop. The Dex pad needs to have more features on it to make it worth the price, like all programs can go full screen, some programs doesn't work very well. Its a great product but need better interface.

If you are a geek like me, you will definitely find this to be very cool. I works really well, but I'm not sure what the long term support would be if there isn't great demand. It is also a little constraining to have to use wired keyboard and mouse. That said.. It is very cool. I would recommend it to a geek friend.

Design needs to take into account for cell protector

If you are using your phone for a main replacement for a laptop or other mobile computing device, this is a must-have accessory. Once you plug your phone in, it provides you with a Windows-like layout as far as taskbar and menus go. Applications then use a window type system and the Samsung DeX UI is also very easy to navigate through.

So I know there are many other alternatives to get the DeX experience but the one from Samsung is more polished and gives you extra ports. The only caveat is that it only outputs up to 1440p in DeX mode. If you want 4K you have to do the screen mirroring feature which is not what I wanted it for primarily.

It boots up fast...responds fast...a lot of apps work in full screen, except for movie related ones like netflix...and 4K display is not possible with Note 8...yet....so they say. Phones must be running at 8.0 for this to work, which shouldn't be an issue at this point but pretty annoying I am not getting the FULL experience....

My galaxy s8 is my spare phone cince the screen cracked so hooking it up to the dex has been very productive. Also have bluetooth keyboard and mouse attached so I can use all my phone apps. Fast charge, very helpful, almost like a second computer

Love this device. It is handy when I'm traveling and can turn my phone into a desktop. Just make sure you have an HDMI port in the monitor. Display Port to HDMI cable did not work for me. But other than that, I love it. I was able to plug in a wireless mouse/keyboard to the DeX Pad and it worked perfectly.

Bought this for my S9 and it works great. Turns my phone into a chrome book. Got a small Bluetooth keyboard/touchpad combo and took it on trip. Plugged into the hotel tv and works perfectly. Left my laptop at home. No issues and no complaints.
