I wanted a 5g phone and ended up with the Samsung A53. The salesperson talked me into it because it was better than the Motorola. The camera is definitely an upgrade and I am finally used to the Samsung operating system.

Underwhelming

Infamous "Connected without Internet" message, which you can read about on web forums. Google Pixel 5a and Moto One Ace phones, as well as Samsung tablet, are connecting to Internet just fine on the same network. I have a Netgear extender lying around, and using that, A53 was able to connect to extender's network, which works on different channel, 153 vs. 44 for Xfinity (impossible to change on their gateway, BTW). Even past these problems, the phone is slow, clearly inferior in that regard to both Moto and Pixel, in the same price range. No compelling reason to keep it at $299 - returned.

A few years ago for Christmas, received an Alcatel Mobile Phone via AT&T, which he eventually outgrew for space, Loved that an additional memory Slot up 1TB, Two-Day Battery Charge, Voice option versus Texting, Firmware current updates and so many other great features!
