supposed to be near as good as the s21, but it's no where close. way too slow. struggles with internet with good signal. Not user friendly in the text UI, or Phone UI. Does not act like is the computing power it says it has.

Camera sucked. I'd take a picture with the mode where it captures like 2 second videos for you to pick the best part of the photo from and it would freeze and shut down every time. Felt cheap. Mainly samsung has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

I bought my A53-5g on May 24, 2022. On June 2 I was sitting on a picnic bench, the phone slid out of my pocket, fell about 15 inches, and the screen shattered! I returned it to Samsung for a screen replacement (on which they misquoted the price by almost $100). After a few days I called to get the status and the operator gave me a "new" repair price of almost $150. At that time I complained that that wasn't the price I was quoted and suggested she listen to the recording of my first call (which she wouldn't do). I also started to tell her that I never broke a phone before in my life and that I thought there may be a defect in this phone. She rather rudely cut me off in the middle of my trying to describe the issue and said that she was just going to return it to me unrepaired so I gave in and agreed to the higher price. Before I got the phone back I bought an Otterbox "Trusted Glass" screen protector for $37.04 after shipping and taxes and I also bought a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G S-View Wallet Cover case for $42.39. It folds like a book to protect the screen. Today (8/19/2022) I noticed the screen is cracked again. This time nothing happened to it. If you do buy this phone be sure and opt out of Samsung's arbitration agreement within ten days of your purchase in case there is a future class action suit against Samsung for this fragile piece of junk.

I bought this phone for the long battery life. It has worse battery than the aging Google Pixel 5 it replaced. And typing is a nightmare, the screen has no sensitivity even when set for a screen protector.

Worse build than a $140 budget phone. I haven't had the phone long at all, but I've managed to crack the screen from a drop less than two feet, and with a screen protector and case on. I now have a $500 paperweight, and cannot express how livid I am. Because the screen is cracked, the phone cannot be covered by their warranty , as per samsung rep. Besides the cracked screen, there were other issues I've had with the phone, like loosing internet connection, losing bluetooth connection, and the touchscreen acting crazy

This is an excellent budget phone. The display is amazing. The performance is only ok.
