A Samsung Phone is my standard. But this phone is slow and it stopped working on Android Auto in about a week due to the Type C port going bad. It charges but that is all.

Spent all day trying to start phone. No instructions in the box to activate the phone with phone carrier. Call Best Buy for help, the Best Buy in Houma La were useless in providing help. I had to contact the service provider to get access. Was really disappointed with the instructions and help on the A53 phone. Once initiated, the phone works okay.

There are a couple of things I would change, including the turning off of the phone is a bit cumbersome, having to hold down two buttons, versus one. But, other than that, I am well pleased with the phone. I am not a tech person by any means - in fact, I'm one of those for whom technology gives panic attacks... - but, this phone is fairly easy to navigate and to establish as one's own. It pretty much coaches you through setup without needing outside help (from an agent), and that speaks volumes for someone like me... One of the features that I like about it is the ability to choose how much RAM one chooses to use. The battery life is absolutely excellent, much improved over my previous phone, a Samsung S8, which I had for several years. I also have some minor vision issues - and appreciate the large screen. Easy to see and to read. I also like the weight of it and the way it feels in my hand. For the money, relatively speaking, this is a great deal, and being on a very fixed budget, I appreciate that immensely. It's ridiculous to me to spend the kind of money on the new toys that truly only need to do the basics. Others are complaining about not having the adaptor included with the phone. I didn't find that an issue, since I already had one - also very inexpensive - and it comes with a cable - which I also already had for a very low cost. I'm also pleased that getting a good case for it is pretty inexpensive, as well. All things considered, this is a great phone, and I am very pleased to have it.

I am very disappointed with the performance of this phone. As hardware, it beats several times my old Pixel 1, but not "easy for use." The software was improved, but it still makes me sorry why I didn't buy Google. All Samsung's apps do not work well but I need to use google ones. I still cannot understand how Pixel 1 with one lens was making the better focus on pictures compared to 3 different lenses here.
