Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha's lightweight design, exceptional screen quality, and strong performance. Many appreciate its long battery life and convenient size, making it ideal for travel. However, some users noted that the lack of USB-C charging and occasional fan noise were drawbacks. This computer suddenly crashes/freezes and then restarts. I have had it less than a month and without fail it keeps sporadically shutting down.

Wow, first new laptop in like 15 years. Last one was a Gateway and it just wouldn’t die, just became painfully slow. Bought this Samsung after discussing the one of the sales reps. Worked great for about five months and then just died. Sent it in to Samsung, they wanted to charge me more than the laptop cost to fix it. It will be a long time before I buy another Samsung laptop, especially from Best Buy. Just a $700 paper weight now.

Did not appear to be in sync with WIN11. Multiple failures on initial setup procedure, trip to store got past that. Then for the next 2 days it had repeated blue screens, longest operational time without a blue screen was less than 6 hours. Returned to store and replaced with an HP laptop.

This laptop was very nice looking, which is why i chose it. After a week of owning it, the fingerprint sensor and d-pad stopped working and i had to resort to the touch screen and passcode entry.

Recently switched from a 2015 macbookpro to this Samsung product, and now i' regretting it. The computer randomly shutdowns, while you're in the middle of task. As a matter of fact i was discussing with a member of best buy, and the screen was fickering. Now, today the mouse pad stopped working. Since, best buy won't take it back looks like it will try to sale this elsewhere. Now, i understand why this was discounted.

First day worked ok. Next day there was a faint white light at the top edge screen. The white light was on intermittent and the screen would freeze. I thought it needed to be updated. It was updated. Finally there was a thin black line left to right mid screen . Gave up had to return . Not good buy

I am loving this powerhouse of a notebook. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” has a new meaning here. I had no idea what I was in for when I got this “little” powerhouse. The graphics are incredibly sharp, vivid and lifelike. The sound quality is superb. As far as the Irisx graphics....Played some high speed video games and the lag was nonexistent, the colors rich and vibrant, the pixels were just what you expect from state of the art computers. Movies are very enjoyable to watch and listen to with both the amazing picture and sound quality. The notebook is very lightweight and thin and can easily be picked up by even a young child. It does get hot and so use with care around children since they may not be aware of the rise in temperature. Comes with a mini SD slot and the power button is on the side of the notebook. In its tablet state, it packs a punch and is lightweight to hold. The keyboard gets locked when in tablet mode and an onscreen keyboard pops up when typing prompts are needed. While in the middle of using the Samsung, the battery did drain quickly from 30% to 12%. Lots of cool preinstalled useful features to make shopping easier, to find travel accommodations such as hotels. Microsoft Edge is the preferred browser and really goes to work for you. A cool feature in Edge is the Read aloud option. Found in the upper right corner (three dots), you can even select the accent you wish to listen to Read in. Read aloud can be used by just about anyone who needs assistance with words, wants to be read to, has eye sight problems and more. Music sounds great and watching YouTube videos takes a life of its own. The touch screen is reactive and responsive and does what’s expected. The Samsung comes with Paint 3D and other drawing programs that allow for remarkable art to be created. It is compatible with a pen to allow for more precise drawing for both architects and art students alike. The mixed reality requires the purchase of VR equipment but is not compatible with just any equipment. We were disappointed our existing VR isn’t compatible with the Samsung. There’s just so much that this little powerhouse can do, I feel like I struck gold. Best notebook I’ve ever owned and I’m really having a great experience with it so far.

I had good expectations of this laptop. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. It continually displays a blue error screen that displays different stop codes and then it restarts. I only had 14 days to return the pc to the store. Not enough time.

If you are a student, buy this directly from Samsung to save $220. If you order before May 31, you also get a $100 Samsung gift certificate. This model basically cost me around $750 as a student, which is insanely cheap for how good this is. Pros: The screen looks amazing. Supports active pens like the surface pen or any pen that uses AES. SSD is easy to upgrade, you just need a phillips (+) screwdriver and a suction cup. Comes with a bunch of Samsung apps that decently well. Very useful if you have other samsung stuff but still useful if you don't. Includes 2 USB-A (regular USB) ports and an HDMI so you don't need to bring a dongle with you. Still has the USB-C port (not thunderbolt) if you prefer to use a dongle. Keyboard backlighting illuminates function keys. My old laptop didn't do this so I had to memorize which keys had what function. Fans are extremely quiet and the hot part of the laptop is near the screen not under the keyboard so you won't usually feel the heat. Chassis is sturdy - all exposed surfaces are aluminum, not plastic, and there is minimal deck flex on the 13". Keyboard switches are snappy and feel good Cons: Every surface on this thing picks up fingerprints. Keyboard might take a while to get used to since it has a short right shift. I never used that half of the key anyways so it didn't bother me at all. No USB-C charging. Uses a barrel plug BIOS looks nice but is very limited in what can be changed. (press f2 when its turning on to get to bios) If you set the function keys as default, which is useful for changing screen brightness, volume control, etc, the arrow keys become pgup, pgdn, home, end instead of arrow keys.
