Samsung is a good brand I've stayed with for several phones. With the 5G changes coming I needed a new phone for my kids and husband. Got one for each of them....and upgraded mine (even though technically not needed) (Re-purposed my old one for my Sister who needed a new phone for the 5G) Transfer of data/phone number with Tracfone a breeze as usual! (Surprisingly, the transfer from my old phone-that I had moved my #/data to THIS (crown) phone for my sister was a breeze as well!) Pro: Hot Spot!!!! (The reason I upgraded) .. this was a MUST! Works great! Con: Updates to apps, moves them back to the phone from the usb. .. this is a Samsung 'flaw' not this phones flaw.

I think it's a nice phone for the black Friday price. No great bells and whistles but I don't need all the fancy stuff.

Sometimes I have to press a dozen times on the "Message" or "Phone" buttons to activate that area. And sometimes it's difficult for a person with hearing aids to get the phone at the correct angle to hear anyone talking. The biggest thing is the fragility of the front of the phone itself: not buying a protective surround with the Galaxy J7 Crown means that the first time it's dropped it's likely to have corner damage and suffer from cracks. I learned that the hard way.

I really like the phone when I first got it, but something happened now it is not so good
