When first I got the phone I was amazed by it's high definition screen and super fast response in about every application, photos and videos are much better also the ability to edit and share. Pen works as described and has been improved to do more. I didn't like that for Sprint phone was $350 which was $50 more that any other company.

Over all I am very happy with this phone. It has so many features and lots of space. The battery last a long time and that's very important.

Samsung got it right with the Note 3. This phone is amazing, I could go on and on about the specifications and improvements. Not only did Samsung get it right with the Note 3, they hit a home run with the Galaxy Gear. Some will call it a Companion to the Note, some will call it a Smart Watch. There is no other Smart Watch on the planet that hold a candle to the Note 3 or the Galaxy Gear. I purchase the Galaxy Gear for $326.00 with tax, trust me it is well worth the $300.00. With Samsung's newest Flagship Note 3 and Galaxy Gear you cannot go wrong.
Great Job Samsung

This is the best phone I've had yet. Best camera, best screen, it even runs 4 BOINC tasks simultaneously without slowing down HD video. I don't use the stylus very often, but I keep thinking I'm about to. I'll want a slightly larger phone, OtterBox and all, because videos are meant to be shared, but strapping a tablet to my belt isn't going to work out.
The worst part of this phone is breaking the OS so I can record my calls with Total Recall. I didn't spend $10 it for nothing, and Google or Sprint broke the feature, so I had to fix my own phone with a somewhat questionable hack. It seems plenty of other people do this, so I guess it's not a unique problem. I'll have to look into whether I can even update the OS if the next version even has anything worthwhile, but at this point I'm satisfied with what I have.
Oh, and the screen stays on all the time when the calendar or timer go off or charge reaches 100%, but all the phones seem to do this, even with auto-off apps. Lastly, I don't think it will survive under water or even daily showers, despite the OtterBox. Still, best phone. Hope they keep getting better.

I've had the Samsung Note 3 for over 2 years now, it was probably one of the best phones I had the pleasure of owning. I came up on an upgrade and I was undecided on what I wanted to do. There was the Samsung S-5 or the S-4 with the excellent camera. I read the specs of the Note 4 and the Note 3 and there were minute differences. The Note 4 was $299 on the sprint network and just on pure happenstance I was able to find the Note 3 for $1.00 And I opted for the least expensive option. I gotta say I could not be happier. The screen upgrade is just plain beautiful. Even with the screen protector it stands out clearly. The camera resembles the S-4 with gorgeous 13 pixel shots and with a variety of options it's hard to beat. The best upgrade from the note 2 is the S-pen functionality. Granted the Note 2 had the S-pen but the interface wasn't as seamless as it turned out to be on the Note 3. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone wanting to upgrade if the $299 price tag is too high to dish out.

I'm a big guy so as the smart phones have gotten bigger I've been waiting on something big enough that I don't feel like I'm playing with my little girls toy phone when I'm making a call or texting. This phone does it. Super fast processing, great storage, especially when you get the bigger SD card for it, now I can hold more songs than my old ipod touch and an wear the phone to gym for music and won't miss calls or emails. Camera is better than my wife's iphone 5s, in low light and bright sunny days. Can't beat this phone.

As someone who has had the Galaxy S for 4 years because I didn't want to get rid of the flip out keyboard, I can honestly say that I am sorry that I waited so long. It is easy to type on, the picture quality is amazing and the functionality if more than I could ever imagine. I went in to by the new Samsung Tablet and walked out the a Phablet instead!

Great phone if you don't mind the size

First things first- do yourself a favor and find one to physically wrap your hand around, and check the size in person.
The size of it is excellent if you have larger hands or don't mind two-handing the thing all the time, but it would probably be annoying for people with smaller hands. The call quality is very clear, either by earpiece or speakerphone, and the audio for music/movies/etc. is also very nice.
The screen quality is excellent, and produces crisp, vibrant, bright pictures and video without ghosting (blurring during fast motion).
The S Pen is something you may find very useful, or never use. I think it's great for taking quick notes, and for taking screen shots and then making handwritten notes on the image of the screen shot. You can then share it or save it.
The built-in storage memory is pretty generous, compared to many other devices, and the android operating system responds quickly to any task- or multiple tasks.
Overall, this is an excellent phone and definitely worth the money if you want something a little bigger, or with the S Pen.
CONS: Pretty much the only downsides are the size, as mentioned, and the battery life. But, you're probably already used to battery drain on portable devices, and you must realize that bigger screen = more drain. To me, it's an expected issue, not a "problem". The battery actually does quite well for normal use, and really only drains when you spend a lot of time with the screen constantly on, like watching videos. Worst case, you can get a second battery, since they are user-swappable.

This phone awesome for someone who takes care of their phone. If you drop your phone a lot, invest in a good protective water resistant case. The camera has some cool new features to try where you can have movement or put a selfie in an object.

The Samsung Note 3 has everything you could possibly want in a great phone, and is practically in a league of its own. I could not see myself with any other phone.
Here are some of the qualities I love about this phone:
* Stylish design: The large 5.7" screen does not seem so overbearing due to its slim bezels, and the phone feels great in the hand due to the Note's slim 0.2" thickness and faux leather back. The back of the phone and the battery are removable. The Note 3 is completed with an overlapping aluminum border around the rim of the phone which is ridged to resemble book pages.
* Great hardware: The Note 3 sports a lightning fast 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3 gigabytes of RAM. It also has plenty of memory with the ability to add up to 64 gigs on a MicroSD card. You also get an IR Blaster which allows you to control your TV with your phone. The Note 3 also has NFC built into the long-lasting 3200 mAh battery.
* Great software w/ S-Pen: Samsung has included all of the software features that can be found on the Galaxy S4 included much more which utilize the S-Pen. It is a long list, but they are all made to enhance productivity. Some include: Air Command, multi-Window, screen write, My Magazine, and much more.
* Best camera: The camera on the Note 3 is amazing. This is by far the best quality pictures and video I've seen from any smart phone.
* Amazing screen quality: The 1080p HD Super AMOLED looks amazing and runs very smoothly given the processing power of the Note 3.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Samsung Note 3 to anyone who is looking for an upgrade.

Wanted to upgrade from my GS3, and I'm glad that I did. I thought it was going to be too big, but the size is quite comfortable. The only drawback is the slight lag that I get from touchwiz, but other than that, it works great.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is an amazing phone! People joke about, "is that a tablet you are talking on?" I laugh and say, "how do you see that dinky little phone." After people use it.... they love it! My friend turn to me all the time and say, "let's watch that video on his phone."
One if my favorite parts about Samsung is that they give you the choice for expandable memory along with the 32GB of internal memory. I hate the fact that a lot of companies have gone to making you pay a lot more money just for an extra 16GB of internal memory but won't give you a choice of adding any more with external.
There are so many things this phone can do. I have a hard time putting it down. This is the first phone I have owned in a long time that will actually last me a full day of use! That says a lot considering how much I use my phone.
Call quality is great. Speakers and screen are awesome! The S-Pen features are cool... I just don't use it all the time. Having a physical home screen button is where it is at. Multi-window gets used daily! If you want to learn some tips and tricks just check out the gazillion YouTube videos out there.
If you are considering this phone... just get one! They are worth it!

So I look how big the screen is. And how thin the phone is. But I feel that there not much of anything else to it. I was happy the first day I got it and now it just like ahhh. Its a phone now. Can't complain

This is the best phone out hands-down. Samsung didn't hold back on this one. It handles everything I throw at it plus more. The battery lasts all day for me and I use it for everything school notes, pics, streaming music, and youtube just to name a few. The display is great and the s-pen perfectly complements this amazing beast of a phone. This phone made me put away my tablet. The 5.7 inch display is the perfect size for all of my needs may it be gaming, studying, or just watching videos. It's a must have device and like I said the best out. Everything is great with the exception of the speaker on the bottom which is decent, but it just gets covered up by my hands and fingers or easily muffled in my pocket all the time(headphones help with this). I own the black version on sprint and I got it on the release day(the back on the black one feels better).

IVE HAD THIS PHABLET FOR THE PAST MONTH, I THINK IT HAS EVERYTHIHG YOU WOULD NEED OR WANT IN A PHONE OR TABLET. EASY TO OPERATE, GREAT SCREN SIZE, GREAT DEFINITION, EASY TO DOWNLOAD APS FROM GOOGLE PLAY STATION. SOME OF THE PREINSTALLED APS ARE UNNCESSARY AND YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO REMOVE THEM, SUCH AS WASTE OF MEMORY, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WILL NEVER USE THEM. NOT TOO HAPPY ABOUT LOW BATTERY LIFE, SEEMS TO DIE AFTER ABOUT 6-8 HRS OF MILD USAGE. AIR COMMAND W/STYLUS IS NOT SO SELF-EXPLANATORY, NEED TRAINING OR AT LEAST SOME KIND OF TUTORIAL ON THE PHONE AND NOT ON THE INTERNET. HAVE NOT FOUND A GOOD CASE, YET. THE VOICE ACTIVATION COULD BE IMPROVED, NOT KEEN ABOUT SYNTHESIZED VOIC. DEVELOPERS NEED TO UPDATE AND IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES FOR LOW VISION USERS, NEED BETTER TEXT-TO-READ APS AS WELL AS THE ABILITY FOR THE AP TO READ ANYTHING ON THE PHONE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH TOO MANY STEPS. THERE SHOULD BE ONE BOTTON TO READ OUTLOUD CONTEENT AND THIS HOULD BE EASY TO TURN ON AND OFF.

3 voice dialing packages on the phone is bad. . .

If you have the phone locked and use your blue tooth headset to place a call, it brings up a really poorly designed app that requires you to listen to overly long instructions every time. For instance, I push the button on the blue tooth headset while the phone is locked.
It replies: "Please say 'call' followed by a name or a number"
I say: "Call Mark at home"
Rather than calling Mark at home,
It replies: "Mark, say select 1 for home say select 2 for mobile"
You would think that saying 'home' or '1' would be enough, but NO, you must say 'Select 1'.
None of the Samsung reps at the Best Buy stores I have been to know how to identify or remove that app. It only comes on when the phone is locked. Both of the other 2 voice dialing apps on the phone are fine.
Another issue is the volume. The audio output is rather low in the majority of the apps. I did however find that in the poorly designed Google music player, you can turn the volume up higher, but you must click a warning each and every time that you do it. When I plug my phone into my cars audio, I do NOT want to have to fiddle with the phone to turn up the volume. It is fine to have the warning once per week or some such, but to have it show up every single time you turn the volume up over a certain arbitrary threshold is beyond stupid.
The phone itself seems fine, but the poor audio functions of the software leaves a lot to be desired. I thought that the Verizon MP3 player was bad, but the Google and Samsung ones are even worse.
If they want some interface ideas, they should just do it like Winamp or iTunes and then call it good.

I'm 21 and just bought this in February as my first smartphone. I was split between the Note 2 and the S4 when it came down to it, settles on the Note 2, and eventually decided to go with this since they were out of them. I couldn't be happier.
The sole negative thing I can say about it is that it's very difficult to use with one hand due to the screen size. I kind of wish it was either just a few centimeters less in width or the S4 came with a pen.
The pen is probably the most impressive feature. It's produces high-precision, natural handwriting as well as the professional tablets I've used in the past.
Despite its size inhibiting efficient one-handed use, unless you have larger hands than me, it's still thin and compact enough to comfortably keep in my pants pocket. This was something I was pretty worried about considering I upgraded from a mere iPod Touch, which are much smaller.
Overall, you really can't beat what you're getting for the price. I spent about three times more than I intended going into Best Buy, but I figured it's the same monthly fee regardless of what phone you buy, so it seemed worth it to make a larger one-time investment in something with good specs that's not going to be frustratingly too slow after 3-6 months. I'm completely worry free when it comes to getting my two years out of this phone, especially with Geek Squad to fix it when it breaks.
