Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Galaxy Note Edge's camera quality, large screen size, and ease of use. Many appreciate the unique edge screen and stylish design. However, some users experienced issues with battery life and occasional performance slowdowns. The edge screen, while a highlight for some, was also cited as a potential contributor to battery drain.

I like the fact the more internal space was added to the phone. Now I can store many more pictures and download more apps.

Cutting EDGE Technology:more than just a gimmick!

I bought the Galaxy Note EDGE and have been using it for a few days now. It is the best phone I have ever used and it is the best one Samsung has ever made!  I do not know why so many tech sites are dismissing this phone as a gimmick, because it is probably the biggest breakthrough in wireless phone technology in the last several years. The media critics obviously are dismissing it and its features without ever touching the phone. To answer some of the concerns I have heard: There have been no false touches, the phone is very easy to hold and comfortable even with one hand. The edge screen has a thin metal trim below it where you can rest your fingers.  It has 180 degree mode where if you turn the phone upside down, the screen turns with it, allowing you to move the Edge screen to the left side. The phone is also very durable and not at all fragile looking as some have suggested.  The speakers, even though located on the back, are rich and robust, and call sound quality is also improved even since the S5. TouchWiz interface has also been significantly improved even since the Tab S release version! I was debating between buying this, the Note 4 or Nexus 6, and I am VERY GLAD I chose this!   The Edge screen is NOT just a gimmick, it is very functional as it is , and has extra panels you can use with it.  The Favorite Apps panel and the Edge Task Manager panel will soon become a feature you cannot live without!  It is like having a launcher dock on the side of your phone so you do not have to swipe and go into your home screens to find the app you want to launch or to get back to the one you recently used.  After my short time using this feature, I already cannot imagine going back to using a phone without this feature! This Edge panel along with all the features of the NOTE 4 make this phone an absolute Beast!  It is expensive, but within price range of other phones in its class, and if you can swing it, it is worth the extra $ over other phones in its class, although I still think the pricing on this phone is outrageously high (especially AT&T version) I just hope Samsung developers support and create unique apps for it, because it would be ashame for this innovative technology not to move forward! This is an amazing piece of cutting edge technology (pun intended)! -------------------------- Not to take anything away from the beauty and function of this phone but there is one negative experience I had with purchasing this phone, it has nothing to do with the phone, but the way at&t diminishes the buying experience: The only gripe I have about purchasing this phone is with the packaging on the at&t version! At&t has removed the Note Edge (and Note 4 too) from its original eco-friendly Samsung white box, and placed it in their ugly orange and white at&t branded boxes! At&t has also REMOVED THE HEADSET from the contents of the original packaging, so you do not get headphones with their carrier version of the phone! Samsung and other manufacturers need to start standing up to these carriers and refuse to let them diminish their brand by destroying the initial presentation a customer has with their product. When I get a new tech item, I enjoy the "unboxing" process... at&t takes this away with their generic packaging and their additional redundant bloatware that they add to their phones. This box switch has me seriously contemplating changing carriers for my next upgrade.

    awed by tons of features!

amazed with tons of features esp if you hadn't had a samsung before and been on an iPhone. Had the iPhone 6 when it first came out but got intrigued w android before when I got my IP5 but never made the plunged not until I saw this Note EDGE which they claimed semi concept and in limited numbers and will be the future of smartphones. Worth to give up my facetime and iMessage. Speed and performance are superb, pictures and the screen are 2nd to none and the edge screen is not a gimmick for me not exploited to its full potential but hopefully more apps are coming and w the coming of the new software "lollipop" it will show more of its capabilities. thanks to my wife for the new EDGE, she still has the IP6 that I got her. The only minor downside is the battery, based on experience my IP6 battery is slightly better than the edge contradicting on reviews... but can do a day w/o charging.

...therefore it is really good to make sure you try on all of the android phones to size and fit your lifestyle. If you are a multitasker and use your phone for at least 3 operations at a time including music, internet and another app... this phone lags majorly. Its dual screen (the edge is a separate screen apparently) sucks the life out of the processor and battery. I have been thru 4 replacements just trying to keep hope alive and to no ends will I be satisfied with the double screened samsung edge (note 4 edge). Should you only task at 1-2 items.... you may truly enjoy it.... at least it has appeal!

This will be the last Samsung note edge phone I will ever buy. I can't believe that Samsung would release such a bad product. the edge display is a terrible idea that will just drain your battery as every time you try to hold the phone you end up opening apps you did not intend to open. this phone has the worst battery life than my old note 2 and note 3. What bothers me the most about this phone is how often it crashes and how slow it is. things take for ever to open and apps crash all the time. DO NOT BUY A NOTE EDGE. but if you really want one, I would happily sell you mine.
