I read a lot of reviews, both positive and critical, before I purchase any product and they give me what I need as far as reaching an objective conclusion. I hope this review helps whoever is interested in the Samsung Note 12.2. I own 3 iPads (Air2, mini3, and the iPad 2) as well as the Tab s 8.4, and the Surface Pro 3, the HP Spectre 360 2 in 1, and the newest MacPro 13.3. I like the Note 12.2 for its screen size and the quality of the screen. It is easily my most frequently used media device. The sound is also great since it comes from the sides and surround is distinguishable. The features on this device are too many for me to list, but they all serve a purpose and they all work seamlessly. I also really like the way the pen is tucked into the device. It writes perfectly. The Note 12.2 is large but that is one reason why I wanted it. Someone wanting a smaller tablet is not going to be interested in this anyway. I got the Belkin cover for it and it is easy to work with and adds a touch of class. The Samsung book cover is too flimsy. That is another review I guess. In case you did not know it you can split the screen into 4 different apps and they all work independently. Oh, one other thing that stands out is the battery time. It is the size of the battery that does it and yet it is still very light as far as weight. The battery takes awhile to charge, but you can get a whole tot out of it Also, I invested an additional $100 to have ATT access, which I have not used yet. I do not have that ability on any of my other devices and I wanted to have it on at least one. I do know that you can purchase blocks of time at a reasonable rate for use if you are going to travel for example. You could also name it as a shared device on your ATT rate plan. A lot of thought went into this machine. As long as you are comfortable with the size I cannot name a single thing that I can find fault with. You will be delighted with it. I know I was vague with this review, but there are a couple of really thorough professional reviews available if you do a search through Google.

Light panel repaired on my 10.1, then warranty ran out. Missed having a Note tablet for months, and the Pro 12.2 has more features. I added to a data plan and bought insurance. Perfect for my lifestyle, lighter than laptop, quick and long-lasting charge, and so portable. Superb size and weight for my usage. Recommend extended warranty or insurance.

I love this tablet! I think I should have gotten one a little smaller but, I am working it out. I didn't think about additional USB ports until now. I should have gone with a Notebook or Laptop computer but this will work for now! The system is easy to use especially since I'm a beginner at using a tablet. I Love Samsung products!

Not as fast as my Samsung Galaxy S 10.5, but the screen size is amazing. The 10.5 was a bit small for me, but the screen size and brilliant display of the 12.2 more than makes up for the slightly slower speed.

The note 12.2 is a very efficient tablet. Battery life is great. Ability to use as laptop is pretty good. Most of the programs I need are compatible.

Best features are the big screen and you can write on the tablet screen and your hand can rest on the screen without it moving. So easy to write on and take notes.

I like the fact that this is a larger and more powerful tablet than most.Easy to use and worth the price.

Compared to some other products in this line, I like the bigger screen.

tried apple---- then Samsung----- and back to apple--- forget It-- I do really like the Samsung but I will need time to figure it all out BUT I will learn

I actually wanted it unlocked but was surprise it wasn't

Hi, I purchased this device last December when it was featured on sale on bestbuy. I paid full price for the device. I expected to be able to unlock the device and use it on travel to other countries, and also any carrier I chose within USA. This made it essential that I should be able to unlock the device. First of all, buying from bestbuy and asking them to help with unlock is useless as they only say "contact AT&T" we can't do anything. I contacted them several times, and each time they repeated the same thing. So, I contacted AT&T. AT&T now has a policy that allows you to unlock your device provided it has been purchased in full. Or you can be a customer for 60 days and then unlock. First, I contacted them to unlock outright as I had paid the full price upfront. I was passed through various customer agents and finally told it couldn't be done. Then I pointed them to their own webpage which clearly stated it could be done. Now, they said ok, and took all my tablet information, including my IMEI number. I was told I would receive an email indicating what happens. Two days later I got an e-mail saying the device could not be unlocked as they did not have the "IMEI" in their database. I do not understand how this can be as the device is AT&T, the device on opening displays AT&T logo. I contacted customer service again, and they said they could do nothing, and I should contact Samsung for unlock code. So I contacted Samsung. After much back and forth, Samsung said that they had the device registered in their database, and that AT&T should provide me unlock code. Contacted At&T again, again no unlock code. Same story, the IMEI is not registered in their database. During all of this back and forth between companies, 14 days had passed, and I could no longer return/exchange my tablet. Finally, I became a AT&T customer, and waited 2 months. Apparently, they can provide service on my tablet, give 4G access, but the IMEI of my tablet is still "unregistered" in their database. Now I have given up..... I only wanted to have a tablet that would make my life easier and be fun to use. Now its nothing more than a 700 bucks of useless device which I cannot use (I bought it mainly for travel, and without data, its pretty useless) The tablet is good overall, from whatever I have managed to use of it, but I would recommend buying it directly from the provider. Because when you buy from bestbuy, nobody wants to take any responsibility, and you are on your own. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service both of bestbuy and AT&T.I would never be purchasing/ getting services from either in future.
