From Note 5 to Note 8. Very Happy

The Note 8 is a great phone. Super fast and the battery lasts a long time. I considered a Pixel 2Xl which my son has but really there is no comparison. This screen is so much nicer. Hold it up against the iPhone X and the iPhone looks like a tiny kids phone. I like the bigger screen especially if I need to do something for work away from my office.

So glad upgraded slightly early from S7 Edge phone to the Note8. Much faster. Went from 32GB to 64GB. Like the built in S-Pen - still learning about it but enjoying it thus far. Was not sure about increased size of the phone. I have found it to not be a problem and actually really like the increased screen size. Camera has been great too. Still learning about the new features such as Live Focus. The 1 dislike I have is the location of the finger print scanner, but this is not a make or break issue.

For starters, you already know that the Note is an amazing multitasking powerhouse of a smartphone. (phablet). And of course, it comes in a variation of colors in certain markets. But just just in case you don’t know about Samsung’s flagship beast, here’s a rundown. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 released on September 15, 2017, to all carriers and unlocked versions. The year before wasn’t a particularly good year for the Note lineup, as we all know. With the Note 7 bombing...literally. But determined to make things right and to gain the trust of the Note fan base, Samsung came back with the Note 8. Bringing with it that lovely S pen. Some may never use this feature, but if you do, you will fall in love with it’s features. Here’s a link on just that subject, if you’re curious. https://www.cnet.com/pictures/galaxy-note-8s-cool-new-s-pen/ Just so you know, this isn’t a full indepth review of the Note 8, itself, but the multitasking possibilities alone, are worth it when it comes to deciding to get a Galaxy Note device, but there’s so much more to this phone, and there are countless sites to check out on that, so I’ll leave that to them. We’re here to talk about the Deep Sea Blue variant on Verizon’s plan. The Note 8 comes in a few colors. Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and Deep Sea Blue. I normally pick up the Midnight Black variant of the Note, but this year I caught a glimpse of the gorgeous Deep Sea Blue variant. Let me take a moment….. Dang, that’s a lovely phone. It’s a shame that I have to put a case on it. This phone will run you $960 plus your local tax. So, yes, you better believe there is a case on this baby. If you have the option of getting this color, I highly recommend that you do. Not everyone will get their hands on this variant, as I don’t think that there aren’t that many out there. With that said, if you get the chance to get it, get it. I really can’t say enough about this phone, but I will say that I’ve never been more productive with any other phone. And I have to say, I have definitely haven’t had a more sweet looking Note until now. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I highly recommend this Smartphone to anyone and everyone. If you’re on fence, hop off and onto the Deep Sea Blue Samsung Galaxy Note 8. For my full review, click the link below. Enjoy your new phone. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WuExTu3ohp0fZrw29UyT2wvATwxLGbrBIH__hDhUb-Q/edit?usp=sharing

I love this phone, my previous phone was an S7 Edge and this phone made my Edge look like it was 5 years behind. Maybe this phone just seems 5 years ahead? The design is beautiful with it's edge screens and long shape. The phone is large, but I was expecting a Note to feel nearly like an iPad mini in my hand. It is actually tall and skinny. It's comfortable to hold with one hand, but you will not be able to pull down your notifications from one hand so it is not the greatest phone if you're always reaching up there one handed. The cameras are very good, though I will admit I haven't gotten the portrait mode to work great. I also haven't tried very hard. I never end the day with less than 30% battery despite streaming podcasts all day and not using the power saver at all. The stylus is cool, though I don't use it much and many times forget it's even in the phone. It's not much bigger than the S8+, though in my opinion it looks 10 times better being just a bit taller and having much harsher corners than the S8. I could go on and on, bottom line is I don't see a way you could possibly be disappointed with this phone, even with a $1000 price tag.

I came from an LG G4 and was thinking about going with the new LG v30 or Google Pixel XL 2. After hearing all the display issues they was having I choose to go with the Samsung Note 8 since they have been using AMOLED screens in there phones or sometime now. I could not have made a better choice. This phone has a fantastic display and very fast. You can uninstall any bloatware off the phone as well, which I could not do on my previous LG G4. Some apps you could only disable the app on my G4. The stylist works really nice for taking notes. The camera takes really great pictures and has the ability to add stickers to the pictures directly. Also, with the stylist you can add your own fun to pictures. I was on the fence between the 8+ or Note 8 because the Note 8 is a little wider and I was concerned about one hand typing. After thinking I don't one hand type that much I chose the Note 8. I have had the phone for 2 months now and hasn't bothered me any. If you like a screen protector on your phone I recommend the Whitestone screen protector. Buy this phone and you will not be disappointed!

I have an android tablet so I am not new to the android platform. Compared to this phone...or should I say phablet, my old tablet is a dog. The performance of the Note 8 is head and shoulders above anything I have ever used. I love the stylus and note capability. Everything is automated. Take out the stylus and it's ready to write a note. I can save them, organize them, draw pictures, post of Facebook or email so easily. The camera is terrific. My pictures are wonderful and I can post and email just as easily as I can a note. Everything is instant. I don't have to wait for anything. I really love this phone.

Today I spent the day recording a concert for my daughter on my new Note 8. It took a ton of video used just a small fraction of the battery. The pics I have taken with it are fantastic! The learning curve on this device is relatively steep; there are a lot of cool upgrades from the Note 5. I'm still getting used to the curved edge on the infinity screen. The outermost characters on the keyboard sit just on the edge of the curve and feel a little strange to type there, but in a week I'm sure I won't notice at all. Oh, and live messages with the S-pen: so cool. You've got to try it out!

The store personnel transferred my apps etc from my S7 (also purchased 2 years ago at a Best Buy) onto my Note 8. Once transferred, except for 1st having to rearrange the icons, the phones worked the same although the Note 8 was predictably faster. Other than the screen being larger, very welcomed (although I hate the curved edges) there seems little difference with the S7, the note taking with the pen is fun and very useful, but the battery life on the Note 8 is such a massive improvement!!!! Forget comparing the size of the battery from one phone to another, whats really important is how and how much of that battery the phone uses. I had to charge my S7 mid-day everyday as it approached 30% by noon. The Note 8, obviously being used in the same fashion as the S7, still has 50% when I go to bed at 11 PM with no charging throughout the day!!!! Forget fast charging, you wont need to....besides fast charging is not great on your battery, so I've read.

This phone truly is great. The screen quality is great, had great battery durs ility. The pen is greatly improved, glad they brought back a true eraser. However, on the downside, Bixby is cool, but overrides 'ok Google' and you need to take some crazy steps to get it back. The Bixby button also seems to be too sensitive to pressing simply by taking the phone out of your pocket. Outside of that, I am so happy with my phone.

Love this phone . Came from having an iPhone 7 plus.loved my iPhone but this phone offers a lot more features and the screen is gorgeous. Definitely recommend. Haven't experienced any stutters or lags and I've owned for a month. When I first purchased this phone I paid the restocking fee to get the iPhone x. Then I tried the x and I really didn't like it because i saw how much features the note 8 had over the iPhone x.paid again just to get the note 8 again. Since then I am certain I made the right decision.

Note 8 the greatest phone ever made. Great for multi tasking. 6gb of ram no stuttering/ lag in one month of use. Great camera and selfie cam. New portrait mode is better than iPhone. Futuristic design, has less bezel than the iPhone x. The s pen is one of a kind. This phone is on a league of its own. Greatest phone ever made.!

I've had the Note 8 for about a month now and the performance has just been outstanding. I upgraded from a Note 4 and didn't realize what i'd been missing. The phone is very fast and the battery performance is incredible as i can go 2 days without charging (with my note 4, i had to charge twice daily!). Screen and picture quality is also awesome. I haven't used the stylus as much so cant speak to it. but this is hands down the best phone i've ever had! Would recommend!

This is a great phone. I like the size, functionality, features, speed, etc. I thought S7 was nice but this is even better. Face recognition works but not as smoothly. The fingerprint sensor is on the back side of the phone which takes getting used to. But as far as speed, features, display, and camera, this is an excellent phone. Best Buy offered the best deal with $350 off.

I've owned every version of the Samsung Note line and as usual, every new one adds more features. The S pen is greatly enhance, especially allowing for writing on the lock screen and then saving it to notes or insertion via another app. The size seems just right and the screen is excellent. The battery life is pretty good, lasting long enough for a work day; hoping it doesn't degrade to a shorter battery life span like my previous Note 5 and Note 4 did over time. I like that Samsung brought back the inclusion of an Micro SD card, as this was a deal breaker for some on the Note 5. I haven't found a ballistic glass screen protector that is perfect yet. The makers of the screen protector hasn't yet figured out how to make them exact fit for the curve.
