I finally got the note I wanted. I haven't had one since the note 7 fiasco. The update on the curve screen versus the S7 edge is amazing. Cases actually have the ability to protect the screen whereas before the curve was still easily broken. The camera is incredible, as well as video. Lots of different camera features as well. Extremely fast processor compared to previous phones I've owned. I've been a Samsung girl for many years now even after the note 7 issues. If they keep updating as well as the note 9, I will probably remain a Samsung user for the rest of my life.

The last Samsung phones I've had were the Galaxy 6+ and Galaxy Note 3. This Galaxy Note 9 exceeds my expectations in every way, from the advance tech features, available memory, exceptional screen and display to the quality of the product.

Significant improvement over previous Note series

The note series is one of the flagship model of Samsung phones. The quality and design have always been top notch. Although Note 8 and Note 9's design have been similar, the inside of the phone is what makes Note 9 matters. Note series is geared more toward business user where the stylus may become more handy for a power user. The stylus is top notch, really useful when you want to sign a document accurately and jot down notes in handwriting. As a Samsung flagship's phone, you can expect great design and performance. Samsung's user interface is not overly done, which is good and simple enough to navigate. Note 9 is a significant improvement over Note 8. The phone feels faster to do things you require. Retinal scan to unlock the phone is significantly faster. Bluetooth feature of the stylus may come in handy especially when you use the phone to tether presentation. Screen quality is excellent. The OLED screen will do justice to the picture the phone takes. Picture quality is gorgeous. Battery life feels improved from Note 8. The only thing about Note 9 that Samsung could have improved is the screen design, which has the same design as Note 8. We may see a full screen phone in the coming months with the latest Samsung S-series but you won't really missing much because Note 9's screen is already large and beautiful enough. So should you get this or the new iPhone XS? Well, if you're so tied in the iOS ecosystem then you might want to stick with Apple products. But if you switch to Android and go with Note 9, you may realize that you have been missing one thing or two all these years before taking the leap and jump into the android bandwagon. Note 9 will give you more flexibility in managing and transferring files from your device. You can even expand your memory storage easily by getting a micro SD card, which now comes in 512GB capacity.

This review is for the Samsung Galaxy Note9 128GB, locked with Sprint. I upgraded from the Samsung S8 Plus, so the size is slightly larger with the Note9, so you will need a new case. The battery does last a little longer on the Note, and seems faster. Now, being that the price was 699.99 with the 300.00 Best Buy discount around Thanksgiving, I am not sure it was worth that much for the upgrade since there was nothing wrong with my S8+. I had to pay about $200 to “own” the S8+ on the Sprint plan, so I could pass it to my wife to replace her old cracked Samsung S5. This made it worth it for me because I would have had to pay a lot more than 200.00 to replace her S5, so I had to upgrade to the Note9 for her own good, so she could have a better phone. :-) More memory, faster, better camera, and the stylus was the combination that I could not resist. I had never had a Note product before, but I think I will like this and make it last a long time before having to upgrade again (at least 2 years, LOL). I was filling out a form that required my signature through a web portal, and I didn't have to do anything special for the signature box to come up and let me sign the form with the stylus. Disappointments: Data coverage is not as good as I had hoped, but this is probably more of an issue with Sprint, as there is only spotty data coverage in the building where I work, so I have to get up and walk down the hall to use my email or anything data related, but to be fair, my S8+ had the same problem, so it must be Sprint. I had just hoped that the Note9 would have better reception than my old phone.

I left Apple (iPhone X) for the Note 9!

So I've been an Apple fan, and deeply entrenched in their ecosystem for many, many years, beginning with the iPhone 3. There is no doubt their products are eye-catching, well-integrated, and something of a status symbol. I have owned just about every type of device they produce (iPhone, iPad Pro, Apple Watch, MacBook). So why leave? Well, to be honest, I'm typing this review on a MacBook Air and my iPad Pro 12.9 is charging. So I haven't completely divorced Apple. Let's just say, we need some time apart. Now I liked my iPhone X but being a fan of technology in general, I keep my eye on the latest, greatest, and upcoming tech items. Samsung releases their Note 9, there is a buzz around this phone, it peaks my interest. I look at the pre-release reviews, watch the keynote address, and finally get my hands on one to demo at Best Buy. Now, I'm in love! This phone is visually stunning! I purchased the blue and it is beautiful. Ok, so it's pretty to look at, but it also functions like no other device I have ever owned. Brains AND beauty. Samsung does an amazing job with their skins over the stock Android OS. Coming from Apple, there isn't much you can customize to truly make your phone "yours". Mostly cosmetic, not much in true customization. With my Note 9 - WOW! I can dig so much deeper into the settings and customizations, truly making this device mine. My productivity is much increased, partly because of customizations, partly because of the amazing S Pen, and partly because the Note 9 makes me WANT to use it. I really enjoy the productivity boost, but also have found myself really getting deep into Samsung Health, more than I ever did with Apple's integrated health system. It really is a pleasure using this phone. Combined with my Gear S3, this is a powerhouse. The battery life - well I am a heavy user and am getting about 30 hours between charges with about 20% remaining on the battery. Much better than my iPhone X. The cameras take amazing, beautiful photos and 4K video. The expandable storage helps keep those stunning pictures and videos right on your phone. Yes, the price is a tad bit steep, but for all you get, I think it's a justifiable purchase. This review could be pages and pages of why I love this device. I'll just end by saying it is a beautiful device, performs flawlessly, incredible power, good battery life, excellent storage capacity, and so much productivity potential it's crazy. The Note 9 has become an integrated part of my daily routine and I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

The Note 9 is probably the best phone in the market. It has a great storage capacity, fast processor, and a GREAT camera. The battery last long. I used it for a trip, taking tons of pics, and the battery lasted for hours! The S pen is a great addition to this device. You can write notes quickly or use the pen as a remote to snap group pictures. You can the memory. I'm currently using a San Disk Extreme Plus 128Gb and it is working great.

In my line of phones, I have always had the Galaxy Series and seeing the specs of this phone, I could not pass up the offer. Last Christmas, I got my mom the Note 8 and I had to play with it to show her how to use it and from there I always wanted a Note. Last year was a hectic year for me with traveling with my parents to doctor offices and the need to do homework was done by my phone. With my s8+, it handled the work load very well, but this year it started to lag and glitch out with more work that I made it go through. With this phone, it has not lagged yet and with the pen being an option to sign documents on the go has been a needed feature of mine. Taking pictures has been amazing and I can not tell you how happy I am with battery life. To spend over a grand on a phone is crazy to some individuals, but if you use all the technology that comes with the phone and use it towards your advantage, the money factor would not be an issue. Love this phone and the blue color!!!!

I was originally going to purchase the S9+ because I thought, "well I'll be saving a few bucks a month and it will be a little smaller in size (I had this idea that Notes were just too large). When I saw it in the store, I was impressed with how thin and comparable in size the S9 Note was to the normal S9. I thought well, with a couple extra bucks a month, I get double the memory, longer battery life, and a better algorithms on the camera (which I like to use a lot). I'm happy I upgraded. Super fast and love the pen which has come in handy a few times -- it allows you to draw quick notes on the lock screen...genius!

Debated this vs new iPhone XR. The iphone is rated as faster and the speed and battery life of the old galaxy S7 was my reason for upgrading. So far no complaints, speed is great and I find the pen super useful for making lists and just using to browse the internet. Fingerprint and face recognition works pretty good. I always had to reprogram on my old iphone 5S and galaxy S7 but the technology has vastly improved. My only complaint is the weight, much heavier than the S7 or iphone, I haven't dropped it yet but did invest in a quality case and screen protector.

I have had BlackBerry's, Palm, Motorola, Apple and Samsung phones since nearly the beginning of cell phones. My last 3 phones have been Samsung Note models. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and have fairly significant memory issues as a result. The ability to write myself notes so easily that are saved in one convenient location is priceless with my situation. But when you add battery life that is still in the 60-70% range at bedtime, a display that rivals my 4k 65" Samsung and cameras that are really good you almost forget the ridiculous price. Almost. I would give the phone 5 stars save one issue that hopefully isn't serious but worries me none the less: I use wireless qi charging and the screen is on WAY too much. I am very concerned about burn in. As soon as it reaches 100% the screen comes on and stays on until I manually hit the power button on the side. So on the rare occasion that I sleep through the night the screen could be on for 5 plus hours with the same image sitting there potentially burning in. Something really needs to be done about this bug, and then I would amend my review to 5 stars. Oh, and I forgot with the ability to add storage I just put over 4000 songs on this baby the other day and barely made a blip on the total storage. Fantastic compared to my Note 5 with less than 30GB available. Hope this helps you make your decision.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s battery rivals any Iphones. It is great. That’s why I opted for that over the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. The display is great. Vivid colors. The camera is magnificent. I love the keyboard. It’s fast and very easy for me to use. Also, I love the feature where it automatically optimizes your battery and knows what to optimize, so your battery lasts even looooonger when, its not necessarily low on battery but like at 40 percent. So unnecessary apps can be stopped or stalled, while you can continue to use your phone as usual. You can turn this off if you want. But, it’s a feature that comes on from factory. Also you can insert a micro sd card if you want to expand storage. But it comes with 128gb storage. So sufficient for me.

As the Mobile Department at my local Best Buy can attest, I was VERY upset when I found out that Samsung was not producing this phone in black. I was even more upset to find that Sprint would not offer the 512 GB version. These two facts almost lead to me skipping this phone, possibly to go back to Apple when the new iPhone came out. But I tried it anyway. I bought the ocean blue model with that hideous yellow pen. I put a black case on it, glass screen protector, and I gave it a shot. And I am incredibly happy that I did. My accessories hide enough of the blue that I often forget that the phone is NOT black. I charge the phone every other night with no battery issues during the day. Screen resolution is amazing, picture quality is top-notch, and the speed at which the phone processes my tasks for it is nothing short of amazing. Any doubts I may have had about this phone being worth the purchase are long, long gone now. Excellent work, Samsung. Now just produce the next one in black - please!

I love this phone. Some of the best battery life of any phone that I have used. The screen is hands down the best on the market. Colors and vividness are amazing. The only thing that stops it from being perfect is the software, I wish it was more like stock Android. Samsung experience/TouchWiz isn't my favorite skin, and I used the OnePlus 5T and found it to be just slightly faster and more fluid the Note 9. Other than that this phone is amazing, it is the full package. The battery life is great, varies a bit, I can get anywhere from 4-7 SOT with a full charge. The S-pen is an awesome addition, you do kind of have to find uses for it. It is not something that most people use all the time on a day to day basis, but you can figure out how to find functional uses for it. Use some of the S-pen apps and take notes whenever you can.

Samsung Note 9 is the 1st phone to have 1TB smartphone, which will never run out of space. The battery 4000m AH battery capacity. If use moderately the battery will last for the whole day use. For a full charge it takes 1 hour and 45 minutesThe speaker quality is excellent. The photo gallery has basic editing. The S pen is bluetooth, which that is unique. You can use the bluetooth S pen to unlock the phone, activate the camera and take pictures across the room. The Note 9 is IP68 rated; which is complete protection from dust and temporary immersion in up to 1.5 m freshwater for up to 30 min.
