Control of the camera with S-pen makes snapping easy. Also, free handwriting with the pen and translation is exceptional. The order came earlier than I thought and works perfectly! The best smartphone that I ever used, Kudos to Samsung and also Best Buy

Best phone if price doesn't matter

As I said in the summary if the price doesn't matter then this is the best phone you can buy. Now I personally don't use the S-Pen much but those that I know that do love it. I basically just use it to note something down real quick if I need to or the smart select feature at times. Battery life on this thing is great. Can easily get through a day even with heavy use. Not quite as good as a oneplus 6t but then again the screen on this thing is on a completely different level so I think it's fine. Display yeah this is a beautiful display. I keep it on the max resolution and it looks absolutely stunning in every condition if you do a lot of media consumption this is the screen you want. Speakers are great for the most part. I do think the iPhone Xs max has slightly better speakers but it's almost on par. Cameras are wonderful. Not pixel 3 wonderful but close enough. You'll get a pleasant and visually pleasing shot every time. If I had to give some cons I'd probably say the curved screen which is basically something with any Samsung flagship it seems pretty useless to me and getting a tempered glass screen protector for it is expensive because of that. It is a little heavier than most phones I personally don't find it a problem because I don't use cases but I'm sure for others with a case this can be quite heavy and bulky. And the last con is the price. Now I bought it when it was $200 off and with some gift cards but I personally think all phones have reached a crazy price point a few years ago a flagship was $650 now they're pushing $1000 for not really any revolutionary features. If you're looking for a phone with top of the line specs don't care about super high res screens or ip ratings can deal with a mono speaker and an above average camera go get a OnePlus 6t. It is by far the best bang for your buck phone out right now. But if you want all the extra bells and whistles you get with a note and especially if you want an s-pen this is really you're only choice. Also I do want to note (no pun intended) that if you do go with the unlocked version there are certain things you do miss out with on some carriers. I'll list a few here. On Verizon you lose wifi calling On AT&T and their mnvo's as far as I know you lose wifi calling, volte, and HD voice You can get these features back with some csc edits but I don't recommend anyone who's not a bit tech savvy to go through all of that. Now if you're ok missing out on those things you won't regret getting this phone.

I just retired this phone after 5 years of everyday use. I bought it in September of 2018. It still works. The battery doesn't last quite as long now, but it served me well and I will miss it.

The overall performance and utility of this device blows my mind. The battery life management software is eons better than my previous device and it had the same battery size. I'm an app developer for the android platform, so the 8 gigs of ram w/ snapdragon chip really helps push the boundaries with overall app development/performance. Via the S-pen, I can quickly design app icons and a whole lot more. The S-pen can also copy text on apps that won't let you, like Instagram. The Camera quality is top notch, and includes Super slo-mo recording. The fingerprint sensor is snappy and the audio speakers are Very loud but crisp without washing out voices. I ->HIGHLY<- recommend you get a good case with a tempered glass screen protector.

Seriously love this phone! It's basically a full computer in my pocket and storage and RAM for days! I use both Samsung and Apple as I have a need for a personal and business phone and I've got to say this phone is much more impressive than my iPhone X 256GB that I got. Has more RAM and processing power to switch between all the apps I need to use on a daily basis and twice the storage of my iPhone so I can keep all the messages and photos I have to take in my profession. My iPhone on the other hand over time has gotten more and more laggy with it's response times and sometimes even gets stuck depending on the situation. And It may have to do with how terrible the heat dissapation on the X is or the software but no matter what the reason I feel as if I'm getting more for my money from my Note 9 than my iPhone X. I mean both of these phones are definitely NOT CHEAP but to those who will fully put them both through their paces I think the Samsung Note 9 is the ideal choice for handling both business and personal life. Yes Apple will put out on Wednesday new iPhones but from my experience I highly doubt that it will beat out what Samsung has done up to his point.

If you have a Note 8, there is not much of a difference performance wise. Yes the specs are better, but you wont really feel it. Selfie camera is almost the same. Just slightly better but very difficult to notice. The rear camera has better low light pics and a slo mo feature. The blue tooth stylus is an upgrade because it is a remote for the cam. You will use this feature a lot. The biggest upgrade you actually notice is the battery. It last way longer than the Note 8. Also bigger battery increased charging time by 20 min. I got the 512gb storage and its massive. I moved all my stuff via Memory card, so i also have a 128gb extra inside! If you have a Note 7 or lower, go upgrade! Note 8 users, its 50/50. The screen size is not noticeable, picture quality looks the same. You can probably wait 6 months for S10 plus or Note 10.

This phone has been a blessing since I have received it. Yes, its been almost five years since I have purchased a new phone and I have definitely been missing out on some amazing tech. This thing has every bell and whistle you can think of and its super duper fast. You also don't have to worry about storage space, which Is such an amazing feeling. The battery does last a full day with a lot of use on it for now! I say for now, because we all know that these batteries start wearing down after a year or two, so lets see how long they last. Either way it is light years away from my note 5 I used to own. Finally, the S pen! Wow what a crazy super cool tool they made this thing into. I haven't used all the features its made for yet, but its worth it just with the one feature of allowing you to take photos as a remote control.

Been using the Note 9 since 7 PM EDT August 24th, day it came out. Preordered in early August. This is like walking around with a laptop computer in your shirt pocket. Plenty of storage as installed a previously purchased 400 gb MicroSD Card from SanDisk to go with the 512 gb of internal memory. Great for music & even casting streaming media to our Sony 4K TV & a friend's new LG 4K TV with WEBos 3.0. Oh, you can make great, clear phone calls & texts. I've found this phone to be peppy opening apps. Don't really do much gaming on so can't speak to that, but screen bright with accurate colors to these old eyes. So games should be enjoyable. All my older apps appear to work as well. If you're so inclined to use a VPN, my ipVanish subscription works well. Yesterday, streamed videos at neighbors house for 8 hours testing their new LG 4K TV as they don't have broadband yet, though service to be installed soon. Battery life was incredible. It was at 99% when I started, 7% when I got home & plugged it in. In summary, this phone is outstanding for media. A phone of this capability & storage does not come cheap, but those that value access to media at the drop of a hat, I highly recommend the Note 9. My wife was so impressed, she passed her S9+ to our daughter & traded in her S8+ to get a Note 9 in light purple. Samsung knocked it out of the park with this device IMHO!

I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S9+. I have both the Apple iPhone XSMax and the Note9. I use the Note9 far more than my iPhone. I love the 4000 mAh battery in it. I am normally on the phone with the screen on about 4 - 5 hours daily, and by bedtime there is still about 40% battery remaining on the Note9. The iPhone XS Max is nicer looking, but does not offer anything substantial in terms of functionality than the iPhone X that others in my family use. I have the Note9 paired to a Galaxy watch, primarily for notifications. The Galaxy Watch has not missed a notification delivery in weeks, not even once! The Apple watch series 3, that I also own, however is a hit or miss, that I have stopped relying on for notifying me with meeting reminders. I am not a fanboy for either Apple or Android, and just need to get through the day without having to worry about battery or missed meetings. The Note9, paired with the Galaxy watch, fulfills that need without skipping a beat. The S-Pen stylus is very nice, but I haven't had a chance to power-use it yet. Here are the other comparisons of the Note9 with the iPhone XSMax: 1) I can print anything from my Note9 to my regular network printer without any proprietary AirPrint nonsense from my Note9, using the HP printing app. The iPhone cannot do it without clumsy workarounds that involve running software on another computer. 2) Bixby and Siri are both garbage that I gave up on a long time ago. The nice thing is that I can pretty much disable Bixby altogether and turn it off on the Note9, and replace it with the Google Assistant that has worked accurately more than 98% of the time for me. There is a free app on the Google Play store to do all this. The Bixby button on my Note9 is now mapped to Google Assistant and it is a joy to use it, especially with the integration with Spotify. There is no way to disable Siri on the iPhone or make it work with Spotify with this level of customization. 3) Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are over-hyped and I find them useless. I just use a simple phone mount on my dashboard that gets the job done. 4) I travel a lot on work, and carry an Amazon FireTV stick device with me. I love the screen sharing of the Note9 on the FireTV stick, that I cannot do reliably from the iPhone. 5) Samsung adds some point based incentives and cash back discounts every few weeks to use Samsung Pay. When was the last time Apple paid anyone to use Apple Pay? 6) Love the support for SD card on the Note9. 7) I actually still enjoy using the headphone jack on the Note9.

This phone has been everything I've needed and then some. I struggled with memory issues with my previous phone (Note5) and since upgrading to 512gb I don't think I'll ever be able to fill up that much space. I was able to go back and download apps that I got rid of to make space and I'm able to keep all of my pictures and videos locally on my phone. The 8gigs of RAM keeps the phone zipping along very quickly. It's a smooth transition between apps and I haven't had a problem with any apps freezing or not being able to load. The pen is also a nice bonus, I haven't gotten a chance to fully explore all of it's functionality yet. I almost forgot to mention the graphics are crystal clear on this device, I play fortnite on the phone without even noticing the screen is severely smaller than that of my tv.

this is the 1st that has not given me one bit of trouble, after month's of usage. Excellent screen size and scratch resistance, camera, more than enough memory, have dropped it a few times with the hard shell case and no issues. Was priced fairly and i highly recommend it:)

First of all I would like to thank the Best Buy employees 4 being so patient and helpful. This phone takes amazing pictures and is very powerful. The battery last much longer than any phone I've ever had. I can have about 20 apps running in the background and it runs very smoothly. With all those apps running in the background the battery is very slow to die. I don't like the Bixby button. My opinion it just gets in the way. This phone has a very nice feel to it, however it is pretty big compared to average phones. My only complaint is the size. It's not very easy to navigate across the huge screen and it is not that easy to handle especially if you use a case to protect it.

I had to wait an extra month after the phone's initial release date due to me wanting the 512 GB version. Let's just say it was worth the wait! This phone is a beast. Zero lag what the 8 gigabytes of RAM. This phone compared to my previous phone the Note 8 is a remarkable upgrade not just because of the new S-Pen and features but because this phone's battery keeps this Beast running for over a day day and a half if used properly. I e; the Note 8 I previously owned would barely make it through a day. But this phone is not for the average user this is more of a business-oriented phone I would have gave it five stars instead of four but the pricing on this thing is crazy! 1250.00$ is allot of money to spend on a phone no matter how great it is! If you don't need the 512 gigs of memory you can settle for the 128 for 250 bucks less but I believe that it was worth it for me to spend the extra 250 for extra 384 almost 400 extra gigs, for memory cards that are half that size cost just about that much...
