Galaxy S5 is impressive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this phone to replace my S3 galaxy and very happy with it so far after the first month. Love the long battery life and how fast it charges. Pictures taken with the camera are incredible. The phone is very fast and responsive and easily connects to our LG smart TV. I'm a fan of android and this phone most likely is the best of its class! Highly recommend!

Great Phone !!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S4 which I loved . The screen on the S4 was also good but not as good as the S5. The phone can even be used outside in bright sunlight. This is the first phone I could see outside in the daytime. I used to own an IPhone 5 and would never go back since owning the Samsung product

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy using my new phone. First of all, thank you to Best Buy for matching the price. I love the phone. It has excellent features, the big thing just got bigger. The screen resolution, the camera, the battery life, the features, everything is awesome! I would suggest this phone to anyone that needs to upgrade their phone. You won't be disappointed.

Nice modern phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone works great with it's core functions: Phone, camera, storage device functionality, interchangeability of memory (SD), battery lasts 2 days longer than iPhone 5, Smart Television controller, LOTS of Apps!!!. better reception than iPhone 5 (yes, I used the same carrier - AT&T). the list goes on so I get to the cons next. A few of the disappointments are in this order 1) USB 3.0 does NOT work - breaks connection with all 3 of my PC's/laptops. And yes, they are all 2 years old or less and work well with all my other USB 3.0 devices. This phone simply does not stay connected once I select USB 3.0 mode. It defaults to MTP mode (media transfer protocol) upon initial connection. If you try to switch to media device mode (USB 3.0) it disconnects. After 1 minute or so it reconnects again MTP mode. Max transfer speed is 30-35 MB/second. I transferred a 1.16 GB folder and it took 38 seconds. That's 32.77 MB/second. That is not USB 3.0 - it is USB 2.0! 2) Accuracy of keyboard is lacking compared to iPhone, but tolerable. In time it will begin to annoy you. 3) Not all S5's are the same (not a problem for me, but may be for others since it is a provider/carrier related issue. 4) There are EXTREMELY few, if any, after-market charging stations/radios - the iPhone market has Samsung WHOOPED in this aspect. I miss popping my phone on a charging station and wlking away - now I have to whip out a wall plug in unit and ganky USG cable to charge my phone - where's the industry support for my S5? 5) No free text messaging over wireless connections - COSTLY and iPhone wins BIG in this aspect ! 6) No free "Find my cell phone" app from Samsung - iPhone wins big in this department :-( There is no good reason for Samsung to get whooped by Apple on this feature. 7) Lots of costly bloat-ware apps are loaded from the factory. Most cost $10 a month to purchase/use. 8) fingerprint reader takes 2 or 3 attempts to read the finger print. I changed to PIN security which is actually a smart option by Samsung. Plus, there is a pattern option for security. Given the choice of these options, Samsung made up for the poor finger print reader - nice save. 9) Connector has a little door to help with water repellency - its annoying and I wouldn't be surprised if many owners tore this little nuisance off the phone. 10) Media interface software (Kies) is years behind iTunes, but it does work - meh... Well, that's all for now. I know this may seem as though I don't like my S5 because I had a lot of minor "Cons", but I really do like the phone. My iPhone had/has more Cons than the S5, so all in all, good job Samsung.

Dream come true!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product and easy to use. I waited 3 months for this color option and to see what the Alpha had to offer. I am sorry to hear about the short comings with Samsung's Alpha. I never thought they would go backward to proceed forward. So I bought the Samsung S5, I wished they would of released the Barcelona Model to the US Market. I mean who wouldn't love 32Gb of Memory and 3Gb of Ram, plus throw in an Octa-core processor and it would be perfect. Oh by the way Alpha has no memory card slot so yeah not cool. The best thing Samsung did when it came to the Alpha was keeping it out of the Galaxy S product line up. Thank you Samsung! The goofy plastic cover for the charge port on the bottom, hmm lets see my sister bought the S5 when it first came out and said hers just fell off. So whats the point of putting it on if it don't stay on? The Camera however has blown my mind with it's quality. Beautiful pictures and nice video too! Just wish it had more editing options like the LG! But I need to remember it's a phone first. Well this concludes my Support, Buy the S5 in Electric Blue, everyone loves it and everyone complements me for waiting to get something I wanted and told me I was right to do so! BestBuy Exclusive they say! Lucky me for having an account! Blessed Be Samsung! Thank You!

Fantastic Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The galaxy S5 is the best phone on the market. I have looked at everything available and the S5 has one of the best processors, a 16 MP camera, super easy interface and great battery life with a removable battery should you really need extra battery power. I'm very impressed with this phone and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S4 to this phone and man what a difference. I chose NOT to go with the Galaxy S6 due to a non-removable battery. The camera on the S5 is so much sharper than the S4. This phone was a great upgrade and I am quite happy with it.

Great with a few minor things
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a big app using techno, but the thing is lap top fast net surfing with multiple windows. Screen has awesome picture quality. Camera is better than on s4 (had one for 10 days before the s5 and traded it in). The ring/general volume could boost louder, and notification could buzz a little more urgently. If you are distracted in a loud place, you can easily miss calls. Calls do seem really clear, and haven't had reception issues in nether regions (att cust.). The s5 is easier to grip because of the expanded ribbed edge, and it sits a bit heavier in your hand than the s4. Like the Android platform, much less cluttered and quirky than the Apple to me in trials (I've heard the opposite from others, so do your own test.) I am getting an addition memory chip (not cause it's really needed), But BIG advantage if you like to live on your phone !!! THe heart monitor and finger print scanners work, but sometimes you have to swipe multiple times because they are pressure and angle sensitive (also think of that when you do scans and put a protector on it afterwards ;) BUt I have kids and it keeps them from messing up my stuff !!! :)))) All in all, very happy with the performance, and telling my friends that. wish it meshed seamlessly with my macbook, but the free downloadable KIES interface works reasonably. Though I like the size of the Apple, I find it cluttered, the screen a bit small, and the system quirky and selectively intuitive. Battery lasts about two+ days with average use of phone/web/text usage. If you are a heavy user it will be less. I'm going to keep enjoying it, and ignoring what I paid ;) If it were 500 or less I'd give it 5 stars.

Awesome phone for anyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is really amazing. At first glance there isn't a huge difference from the S4 but the 2 main things that did it for me is the screen and camera. The screen is the best i've personally seen. The Camera takes good pics as well as records good video (live band and playing on overly distorted speakers ended up sounding pretty decent). I also love the fact i can take a picture of something far away zoom and crop and still have a good looking picture in the end. Heart monitor is cool but i really don't use it for anything practical. Fingerprint scanner, no idea i've never used it and never plan to. Overall great package. Once you take out all the bloatware and customize it to your tastes its really an awesome phone.

Great, so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this phone for a day, but, so far, I'm very pleased with it. I bought it instead of the newer S6 model because I was disappointed with the specs on the S6. I am pleased with the screen resolution and the responsiveness. I like that it had a removable battery, an SD card and that it's waterproof, all missing on the S6. I think that it will work out well for me
