The phone is an upgrade from an HTC EVO (one of the first series). It's faster has more memory and much better screen etc. Samsung includes some nifty apps and touches which are pretty cool. However they can't seem to figure out the basics of phone operation. If you have a audio cable plugged into the phone and connect to it via bluetooth to make a call it defaults the audio out to the cable. HTC didn't have a problem with that feature years ago and there isn't any way to correct the phone's behavior short of 3rd party apps. Things like that make it a notch down from great to good with some really annoying quirks.

I'll just get this out of the way right now, I do not love the current trend in smartphones were they are massive in size. Having said that the only thing I'm not loving about this phone is its size. The call quality is great the screen looks amazing and the speed with which this handles my apps is incredible. I waiting until the price was right for me but now I'm wondering what the S4 could do for me. C'mon Colorado Springs, get with the 4G towers already! I wanna see what this thing can do.

So far, I'm satisfied with the Galaxy S III. It's a well made phone with a slick look and great picture and sound quality. But it's not without its problems. The wifi turns itself on at times that are inconvinient even if I manualy turn it off. The 4G signal drops out in places my old phone had perfect reception in. Most puzzling of all, lately my phones clock has been running slow as if it wasn't syncing with the cell towers. This is a problem since I use it as an alarm clock. A quick reset and all is well, but this wasn't a problem on my old EVO. Overall a good phone, but could be better.

I love this phone. I went in thinking I might want an IPhone but the screen is so small. I love my Galaxy III. It does everything I needed and more. The chip from my old Galaxy was able to be put in the phone so I immediately had 32GB's available. Plus my pictures were on this phone from the old phone. The music sounds great when I use the headphones included. Great Picture and I am very glad I went with this verses the IPhone. Also the speed on the Internet is as fast as my computer.

I intended to buy the iPhone 5

I did intend to buy the iPhone because the rest of the family have iPhones and I have an iPad, which I love. I was very conflicted as to which to buy, but decided to try the Galaxy because I had heard such good things about it and I could return it to Best Buy withing two weeks if I was unhappy. Because I'm older and don't carry my phone as an appendage as so many younger people do, I like the size. I think it's probably easier to read and navigate because of the size, and because I had an android before, I really like the swype feature when typing (wish the iPad had that feature). The battery life is so much better than the HTC Evo that I had. The resolution is beautiful. Another thing that makes me happy (am assuming that it applies to the iPhone as it does to my iPad) is that the android has no trouble opening files with Flash. Quite a few things on my iPad will not open because Apple products do not support Adobe Flash Player. I really love this phone.

This is my first smartphone. After much procrastination, I chose the Galaxy S3 over the IPhone only because of the sale that Best Buy had going on. I'm not sure I made the right choice, but I really have nothing to compare it to. Overall I'm happy with the performance and features, but I have a lot to learn in order to properly utilize all the functionality of the phone. With that being said, I'm always worried that I'm going to drop the phone. I'm waiting for Lifeproof to come out with a waterproof shockproof case for the S3 whenever that is going to happen????

Phone much better than the II. Still unable to use all the features because do not have detailed instructions on how to use all of them. They are not all in the tutorial that Sprint has, Gets tiresome to call Sprint every time I want to figure out how to use something on my phone. Do not get me wrong idea, I love all the features, I would just like to know how to use them.

I recently purchased Galaxy S III to replace aging HTC Evo, that while still working reliably and doing what I wanted it to, was running out of space and battery. The Galaxy is lighter, faster, has a bigger display and is vastly superior in its ability to connect with my car's "synch" system. A pleasure to use and play with, plenty of space. I've had it for about a month now, and aside from its incompatibility with Adobe Flashplayer, is about perfect.

Got this phone for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it!! It seems to be very durable since she has dropped it several times with no problems. She does a lot of videos and loves the fact that she can pause while recording! The only bad thing so far is the battery life but when she is on it non-stop I don't think any battery would last long enough! lol

I upgraded to this phone because I needed something with a better battery life and functionality. This was a winner out the box. The battery life is decent and can last longer if additional features are turned off. I used the camera on a trip we took to the mountains and they were amazing. The pictures I used the zoom on weren't that great though. I love the face recognition for unlock and the new update with multi windows so now I can watch youtube and work on emails.. outstanding.
