However, a common complaint centers around the phone's battery life. The lack of an SD card slot is also cited as a drawback by some users.

Pros: Downsized from a Note 3 because of size. The size of the S6 is better for carrying in a pocket. Great screen and camera is awesome. As a former iPhone owner, I prefer the Galaxy/Android phone. Cons: Short battery life. Unable to swap batteries.

    Battery Life - Only Downside

Just got the new SG6 in gold with 64 gig. Love the color, love the 64 gig potential. I was planning to give my 6 month old Droid Turbo to my daughter. But now I am having second thoughts and am considering giving her the Galaxy and keeping the Turbo. Why? The SG6 battery is horrible! The Turbo lasts hours longer without a charge and I am not so sure the additional storage, pretty color, and better camera interface is worth the battery drain. If not for the battery life, it would get 5 stars from me. I just installed a new app that is supposed to help tidy memory up and extend the time between charges. I hope this is the case!

I replaced my 4 year old Motorola Razr smartphone with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and could not be happier. When using the Internet the Razr had become so agonizingly slow that it was painful .... the Galaxy S6 is blindingly fast and performs exceptionally well. My data usage actually went down with the Galaxy S6 compared to the 4 year old Razr, why I'm not sure but evidently the S6 is much more efficient in how it handles network connections and traffic. The S6's camera is phenomenal, sound quality is excellent, build quality excellent, and the look and feel is excellent. My S6 runs circles around my partner's iPhone. All-in-all the Galaxy S6 is just a great smartphone. Plus Best Buy had the 64GB version on sale for $99 with a two year renewal with Verizon .... count me a very happy Best Buy and Samsung Galaxy S6 customer!

though I have had this phone but for a week, I find it is much faster to respond to commands. My old phone was 4 years old and was to the point where I had to reboot it at least twice a day and sometimes three times per day even though I had stripped the apps down to only the essentials it just was time to upgrade. The Samsung S6 is smoother to swipe, quicker to open apps and after a week of operation, I have not had to reboot it at all. I had read preopening reviews that the S6 had battery issues but from what I have noticed it is not a problem at all. I can use it and recharge it every other day at most. I also have found that the onboard camera is fantastic, It takes clear bright photos and is quick to ready for the next shot with little lag. Thus far it appears to be the best smart phone I have owned. I do recommend the Samsung S6.

This is a great phone. I upgraded from an SG3 and have been enjoying this phone immensely. I like the battery saver function. At first, I was wearing down the battery really fast without even using it that much, but now with the battery saver on, I only need to charge my phone overnight. The camera takes lovely pictures. The front facing camera is a wide angle lens, so it can widen some aspects of your "selfie." If you take a close up picture with your eyes close to the camera, it will make your eyes look like "anime eyes."

I love this thing. It responds well to gestures/swipes, it's fast, the pictures/videos are crystal clear, and it's got a beautiful design. Good job, Samsung; I love it.

The phone has a great camera even under water using a waterproof case. The phone is fast but it does cause the battery to die fast so it would be smart to use the ultra battery saving mode or buying a back up battery.

I upgraded from S4 to S6 and am pleasantly surprised. The big reason why I upgraded was speed. S6 speed blasts S4 all over. Second part is camera. Camera is much much better, faster and seems to be less blurry than S4. Battery...I thought how this would affect me but I realized, when have I replaced my batter, let alone remove memory card. Well I haven't and still didn't need to with S6. Samsung has an app called "Smart Switch". Smart Switch moved all my Wi-Fi passwords, pictures, contacts, apps etc form S4 to S6. All I had to start it and walk away. It was like I had an iPhone.

The phone handles and feeds good in the hand. It very quick. The photo feature is great(double click home). The big grip is the missing second cdma radio. Can't surf and talk the same time unless you switch over to talking over data (enhance calling). The enhance is not as good as using the standard. Calls get drop and caller ID is gone. The flagship phone is a step back to the days before 4G LTE was release. When reading the review, this major flaw was left out until I found out myself. So disappointed!

This phone has an amazing design and in hand feel. The camera is wonderful for quick photos with the auto hdr, but it also provides a pro mode for experts. The battery life last me all day with moderate use. The battery also holds up when streaming music for 7hrs (using milk app). Touch wiz has been simplified and there a significantly less pre-loaded apps which is easier on the battery. This is a great phone for all experience levels and all types of users low use to high. I love this phone....get your six appeal today.

Samsung Galaxy S6 or HTC M8 or M9?

I like that I can have more than 1 app open at the same time. The clarity of the pictures is very clear. However, I do miss my HTC M8 in that I could just swipe across the screen to wake it up or just pick it up to answer and turn it over to not take a call. The Samsung battery last longer, but not really to any advantage to me. I usually have to charge by mid day of the second day, which to me is not a convenient time. With the HTC I could just expect to put my phone on charge every evening while I sleep. Even with the Samsung rapid charge, it's not convenient to stop and put it on charge. With this being said, I'm not sure I made the right choice in going with the Samsung over the HTC.

I upgraded from the SIII, which I dearly loved. Didn't anticipate that there would be that much difference, so have been pleasantly surprised. The camera is amazing, and has many more "bells and whistles". I am still learning what all I can do with it :) The screen is a great size - no squinting to watch the video you just made. Organizing the apps on home screen seems easier too. Every once in a blue moon it will decide it doesn't really want to send a picture in a text message. No idea why, but I just delete the message and start over and it goes through. I highly recommend this phone :)

It took some getting used to, even though I had a Galaxy S4 previous to this purchase. I really liked my S4 and considered not even upgrading. I convinced myself to upgrade and I've been happy with my decision. I almost went to the darkside (Apple Iphone 6) because of the ease of use of controlling e-mail and texts and organizing other apps. Then I looked into S6 and realized Samsung started doing the same thing. I liked the Facetime feature on the Iphone but really wanted the extra storage instead, for pictures and plenty of music and/or movies. So that was ultimate deciding factor. I like customizing my stuff, so with the phone, i wanted different ringtones and wallpaper, something that's a pain to do on the Iphone. This S6 is the answer to the Iphone 6. Then about a couple weeks after I bouight it, I found out that the Hangouts app has a video call feature. Bonus! I insisted on buying the 64GB S6, as I'm not able to upgrade to a bigger SD card, and so far it has suited me well. I haven't maxxed it out yet, but did notice I don't have a true 64GB. Not even in the low 60's. It says full capacity is 58GB. That's a bummer, but I know that's how electronic storage works. just sucks that it's off that much. Oh well. Phone is great. I will continue to promote Android over Apple, and further more Samsung.

Almost didn't get this phone because Samsung/Verizon did a horrible job at upgrading the S5 to Lollipop. Ended up getting it and so far it's been working good. Had to get a case because the back would get hot enough to not be comfortable to hold. So far I don't miss the micro sd slot but that might become a problem when I get more stuff on it, only time will tell. They tell you that you can get rid of apps you don't want but there are still way to many apps that are useless or not wanted that you can't uninstall. Overall its a good phone that should hopefully hold me over for the next 2 years.

The camera was the selling point for me as well as the pixel density on the screen, very crisp and clear video and does an amazing job with the speed switching from app to app...honestly the galaxy s6 is very superior to any phone made previously. Apple just wanta pretty and expensive phones, Samsung gives you a sleek phone that is durable and packs a punch in both hardware and software as well as a very easy to use interface. With 4k video and such a crisp screen you'll fall in love with this product.

I upgraded from the S4 to the S6 and I couldn't be happier! This phone is so much faster than my S4. At first, I was not happy that I couldn't add memory with a SD card like my S4. But then the Samsung rep showed me the Photos app with free sotrage. So now I don't worry about filling up my 64gb memory. I have thousands of photos on my phone and now they are stored free without using my phone storage space. I love my purchase choice of upgrading to the S6.
