Long time Samsung user. Decided to update to the S6 from an S5. The S6 seems to be faster then the S5 in many ways I don't like the fact there is no external SD CARD or removable battery but I knew that going into this purchase. I decided to go with the 64gb version and I'm glad I did. The camera is great and is ready to take a pic with 2 taps of the home button. There is no lag like there was with the S5 camera. The biometric system on here is much better then the S5 in every way. Battery life isn't as nice as the S5 but with the rapid charger and the wireless charging this more then makes up for it. So far I'm very happy with the phone.
However when it came to purchasing the device the store tried activating the phone by what the outside sleeve said it was. I was supposed to be activating a s6 64gb by Verizon but they found out the phone wouldn't activate and the reason was the phone in the package was a S6 Edge 32gb by Sprint. This took over an hour of phone calls by me and by the store to resolve this issue and fix my account with Verizon. In the end the store did discount my purchase but I started this purchase at 830pm and didn't leave the store until 11pm. All in all they made it right and I'm happy.

There are definitely some very nice features about the phone that distinguish it from other android devices, the camera is incredible, the screen quality is superb (you will immediately notice how nice and sharp the pictures look on it from your SG6 camera), the overall hardware performance is solid and snappy, and the aesthetic design is strong. Throw in some key features such as a double tap home button to pull up the camera, a fingerprint sensor that works pretty well to unlock your phone, and wireless charging (you don't need a special case, and if you buy a case, it works fine as I have an Otterbox Commuter case), and you'll have a lot to be happy about with this phone.
However, there a few drawbacks, the call quality and speaker could be slightly better, the battery life is good but leaves a lot to be desired, there is no water resistance, there is no expandable memory (goodbye microSD card), and no replaceable battery. When you pick up the phone, all of those small drawbacks disappear and it become fairly easy to forget. Yet, in the back of your mind, you'll know that there is still a great deal of potential for a better device in the future.

I bought this phone for three reasons...Camera...the best...love it. Screen...I can SEE this screen in direct sunlight...WOW! and last but certainly not least is SAMSUNG PAY which should be available by the end of the year...with magnetic stripe payment...a real PLUS till everyone goes NFC. I'm glad Gold Platinum was available by the time my upgrade was available. I chose the 64 GB because I like Lots of pictures and Lots of Music stored on the phone. Samsung has an offer till 07-05-15 buy a 64 and Samsung will give you $100...what's not to like. If you're not a power user battery life is OK. I love the fast memory and Processor. OK the downside...I lost my cool ringer tunes from my S3...don't really care for the new ones but the positive points far outweigh the negative. BUY THIS PHONE!!! I use a UAG ice case to show off the color.

I recently had to replace my Motorola Razr Maxx HD and had the pleasure of getting a Samsung Galaxy S6. I chose the S6 for its speedy response times and excellent reviews on other sites. I was not disappointed.
Obvious to most android enthusiasts, the S6’s display is probably one of the best HD displays ever made. It is a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560, capable of 16M colors. The display is so sharp that I don’t feel bad watching Netflix on it instead of my plasma TV.
If you turn up the brightness 100% and happen to be in a dark room, chances are you’ll squint once or twice. And the blacks the phone produces are the truest black I’ve experienced on the 5 smartphones I’ve owned in the past. Yes, the display is just that good.
One of the positives about the S6 is its back facing the camera. The image it takes is so crystal clear that it puts other competing phones to shame (HTC One H9 comes to mind). The photos and videos it takes are extremely high-end. Technical specifications include a 16 MP camera in the back and a 5 MP camera in the front. I primarily use the frontward camera for video conferencing, many have told me that the image is extremely crisp and high resolution.
A huge negative? No removable SD card. I highly recommend getting a phone with the largest storage capacity you can afford. For me, I purchased the 64-gig. Like with any android, 10 GB is taken up by Lollipop. Out of the box images taken with the backward facing camera will likely use a lot of space if you’re like me, make liberal use of cloud storage.
The Battery:
One of the largest complaints is the battery life. Some reviewers are going to flat out lie to you and tell you that they last on a full charge for 24 hours with moderate use and without the need to charge it. My “moderate use” includes ensuring nothing unessential is running in the background, low brightness, using the basic power saving mode and only turning off and on the display every half hour or so (and not for long).
You will be charging it during the day if you use the phone heavily. But the charges are so fast that it really doesn't matter a hell of a lot.
To be clear: the phone will not last you a whole day on 1 charge if you use it more than what I would call “moderate use.” But one of the plus sides is that Fast Charging is superfast. My best friend has an H9 and that Quick Charge is a joke compared to Samsung Fast Charge: from 40% battery, you should be ready to go in less than a half hour. The Fast Charge almost makes up for the small battery life (small by comparison to the Razr Maxx HD I had at any rate).
To be fair, the battery isn’t that big of a deal as long as you have a car charger and the Fast Charger handy. I can’t vouch for using it in stores that use wireless charging as stores in my area don’t do that (you’re lucky if they have public WiFi here). A smart, energy efficient android user will have only a little gripe about the battery life: the phone’s others features are totally worth it.
This phone happens to be extremely fast. I suppose the same could be said for any modern smartphone but it just feels much quicker than others that I’ve used. I could bore you with tech specs like the use of the Exynos chipset utilizing a quad-core processor but it’s pointless: transitioning between apps has made this multitasker extremely happy. The Lollipop split/multi-screen views are a must for anyone that toy with only 1 app at a time (though this functionality is cool, many apps don’t support it, most Google ones do though).
Gesture and motion support is an obvious plus, anyone with a Samsung smartphone will be familiar with these and they require no further explanation.
Actual voice calls (hey, these things do that?) are of high quality and leaves nothing to be desired. Having heard myself on a friend’s voicemail, I am left only with the eerie feeling that my voice truly sucks. Not because of the phone though!
The construction and design is top notch. I opted for the Black Sapphire and I’m extremely pleased with the way it looks and feels in the hand (though you’ll probably want the Zagg Glass screen protector and an Otterbox case… as much as a shill as that makes me sound!). The phone itself does get warm with heavy use but I’ve never found it nearly as hot as my old Razr Maxx HD.
I gladly recommend the Samsung Galaxy S6 to anyone in the market for a new smartphone!

After lengthy research and checking out all the flagship phones on the market the Galaxy S6 is the one to get if you want the best of everything from luxurious design, quality materials, performance, camera, storage speed, wireless charging, quick charging, VR headset capability, etc.
All the colors are nice but decided on platinum gold since it's unique and nothing else looks like it. Much better than the sprayed on gold look of the iPhone 6 that it replaced plus after today's Apple WWDC event it's obsolete since it doesn't support iOS 9 features like split screen multitasking.

Faster processor than my S5,, better camera, however
It Is not water resistant as was the S5, the battery is not user replaceable and you cannot add data card. Would like to have these features, however it is still a great phone.

This is my 3rd galaxy ( had S3 &4) i was never really happy with the 4 would always overheat and restart itself couldnt wait for this to come out. Was trying to decide between this and HTC and i am glad i decided with the S6. It is very fast, responsive, bright screen and takes GREAT pictures. The non removable battery didnt really bother me since i always carried a portable charger but I was upset about the lack of SD card. But with all of the functions i am glad with my decision. The battery issue does not seem to be that big a deal for me I normally can make it through an 8 hour day with it being at 30% that includes listening to music from time to time and having constant notifications such as weatherchannel app. And it truly does charge very quickly. All in all i am very pleased with my purchase

The phone is beautiful and fits comfortably in my hands. The features, especially the camera is great! Navigating took about half a day or less to grasp. The brilliant and big screen is a world of difference and I don't think I'll ever go back to smaller display phones. I've had the phone for 3 months now and I haven't had any problems. The connector-less charging is so convenient. The dual window feature is nice to have when browsing. The picture and video quality is great and sharp. The battery life is decent; the charging time is definitely nice and quick. Overall a great quality phone and I am very happy with my purchase.

So I had issues deciding between the S6 or the edge...ended up getting the S6. Awesome phone don't get me wrong, I upgraded from the S4 and my ol man has a S5. Kept thinking about the edge, I was talked out of it because of price difference and supposidly only difference was the edge screen and the option for 5 favorite contacts. Well I traded it for the edge after a week...and I am so glad I did. performance wise my edge is faster, I know they are the same right? Well this edge responds a lot quicker than my s6 did. Also love the feel of it, wouldn't trade it for anything. I have had it now for a month or more and hands down best phone out there. Also love how I can see the screen in the sunlight. Camera is awesome, and has awesome response. I did a lot of research between my edge, s6, and s5...

Traded up from my S4. Really enjoy the phone as it works well and is fast. The camera is much better especially the shutter speed. Far fewer blurry pictures. The call quality is good. The applications work well even though there is the usual preloaded stuff I was just as soon do without. We purchased the phone on the plan over two years which ended up saving us some money in the long run due to how the plans were adjusted. If you decide to buy this phone, watch for deals and make sure to do the math to determine which deal is the best. Also, I recommend getting a case for it to keep from damaging it.

Pro's: Noticeably better screen than S5, S4; Faster processor and better camera.
Con's: Smaller weaker battery. My S4 lasted all day, this is dead by late afternoon in power saving mode and with minimal usage ! HEAVY to carry around. Can't remove the battery to fix the freeze-ups - Big problem, considering mine had 3 major freeze-ups in the first 2 weeks. First the center home button stopped working altogether, then phone finally locked up and screen wouldn't turn off. Samsung trouble-shot it and couldn't fix it so I had to go through warranty repair exchange on a 20 day old phone. Neither Best Buy nor Samsung would stand behind it and give a replacement and forced me to go through Verizon. Couple of other minor gripes, tall thin shape is harder to hang on to, and side on/off button is now placed more in the center of phone so your hand is always hitting it inadvertently. (Previous models it was centered more near the top edge instead of right where you grip the device.) Also, the camera lens sticks out and is not flush, so unless you buy a really thick case, you'll be resting your phone right on its camera lens every time you set it down. Too bad they tried to copy an iPhone, because they made this phone worse. S5 and S4 are both better to work with. No ability to add storage or battery. Disappointing. Don't spend the money

When the time came for my family to upgrade their phones, almost everyone wanted the new iPhone 6. They all had android phones but were convinced that the best one to get was the iPhone and yes, they are all very happy with their iPhones. As for myself, while I'm an Apple fan, I'm a bit tired of Apple saying their the best when they're actually behind in technology. I compared the Samsung Galaxy S6 to the iPhone 6 and found that Samsung is about two years ahead in technology and features. The S6 has a quad HD screen as compared to Full HD, faster processors, a 16 MP camera as well as a 5 MP front facing camera, and wireless charging. I'm very pleased with the call clarity and how well the phone adapts to different networking configurations. I would highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy S6 to those who want an excellent phone with superior technology.

I went from an s4 to s6...I am in love...the colors are better, the camera is amazing, it is sooo fast and I love it. It charges really fast, but does not keep battery life the way I was hoping. It's still good, but it's not the greatest. However, it only takes about an hour and a half to charge fully using the charger that came with the phone. But make sure it's fast charging when plugged in.

I've been an Android user since the original Motorola Droid was released in 2009. Since then I have never looked at a Samsung phone and thought, "Wow, I want one of those". I never liked the cheap feel of their phones or the cartoon-ish TouchWiz they slapped on Android.
Fast forward to 2015, and now I spent my own money to own a Samsung phone. This phone both feels great to hold and use, and it looks amazing. It is almost a shame to put a case on it, but I'm paranoid about having a phone with a glass back combined with drops on concrete.
Samsung is finally putting their Exynos chips in the US-version of their phones, and I'm impressed with how fast the S6 performs. Combined with 3GB of RAM, and this phone should stay fast and "zippy" for quite some time.
Yes, TouchWiz is still here, but its been toned down. However, Samsung has introduced a theme store, so you don't have to look at TouchWiz every time you use your phone. You can now change the look of the UI, without having to root your phone. There's a material design, when combined with the Google Now Launcher (found in Google Play), you can have your new Galaxy S6 look and feel like a Nexus device.
The only "negative" comments I can make are that Samsung did not include expandable storage, but I don't have a space issue with the 64GB variant combined with WiFi everywhere and a large data plan.

So upgrading from an s4 I was initially disappointed by the lack of removable battery in the s6. On a typical day with moderate usage I can get through a 10 hour work day without needing a charge. This past week I was able to test out the ultra power saving mode at a 4 day music festival. Ultra power saving mode limits your apps significantly. You can still text call use Facebook and twitter but that's about it.this setting can legitimately get you about 1.5 days which is great if your away from a charger.between a portable charger and 1 charge with the car running I was able to make it through the 4 days without my phone dying. The quick charge feature is also convenient when using the provided cable. Speed on the phone is also good and I haven't run into too many flaws yet.

This is the most beautiful galaxy phone Samsung has ever created its sturdy made of aluminum and glass and feels good to hold not like the cheap plastic materials of previous phones I love the adaptive fast charging feature my phone was at 12 percent and it jumped to fully charged in a little over 1 hour also fingerprint scanner is way better than the IPhone 6 I love my Galaxy S6 , also purchased the wireless charging pad to charge my phone wirelessly it has cool led color lights that light up blue to let me know when my phone is charging and green to let me know when it's finished charging thanks Samsung for such a wonderful phone and last but not least this phone also has one awesome feature which is the Ultra power saving mode that when turned on will switch the phone to greyscale and give you 6+ hours of phone usage when the phone is only at 16% battery power soooo cool
