This replaced my S3. I love increased processor speed, slow/fast motion camera and much longer battery life. Since I occasionaly work in the rain, I just hope that it is as waterproof as they say it is.

Meets or exceeds all expectations for quality and ease of use. Especially happy with the ruggedness of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active configuration with its more durable screen and easy to hold frame.

This phone is amazing. Battery Lasts All day long without any hiccups. Processor is super fast. Only Wish there was more then 32gb of storage, but with my cloud storage option its not a problem for me.

Durable, beautiful pictures, the screen has great color. I love everything except Best Buy didn't have the white camouflage I wanted or any cases in store. Also Samsung didn't offer the SD card option or higher memory options when I purchased mine.

I have had my S6 Active for a couple of months now and I'm pretty satisfied with the way it has performed. I've dropped it a couple of times and it seems to withstand a fall if you drop it while walking around. Falling on it's face or on a corner hasn't caused any cracks but they weren't very big drops. I don't have a case on it so there are some scuffs but nothing major. The battery last pretty long if set to power save mode as well. I can get a days worth without charging. I was even able to take this snowboarding and play music all day and still was left with a 40% battery life. The only drawback is it's size but other then that I think it's great for an active phone.

So many buttons

The OS is great. Great pics and apps. The way it works is great, but it has too many buttons. If I stick it in my pocket, the buttons get pushed without me knowing it. It answers calls , and I don't know (even with it locked). It would always switch to ACTIVE MODE. I tried to return it and would've got the EDGE, but I waited too long and wasn't able to switch it. I also don't like the visual voicemail. And you have to erase notifiications, they don't automatically erase when you tend to the task. I do like the phone better than an iphone, or maybe I'm just telling myself that. Nah, I do. But I did drop it in the toilet and it's still solid. So for that fact, I'd recommend it to certain friends that are active and always around water , like I am. Cuz dis bugga is water tight and tough. But I wouldn't go swimming or surfing with it.

I can't recommend this phone enough! I have a long list of pros, and the only con I can think of is that the buttons get easily pressed to turn the phone on in my pocket, really that's the only con I can think of.
Pros:
Waterproof
Shockproof(haven't dropped it on tile or concrete yet)
Very bright screen
Very loud music speaker
Physical front buttons(so they don't take up space on the screen)
Dedicated Action Button that you can program to open whatever you want
Amazing Camera
Samsung Pay which works at ANY card swiping station, not just the ones with the NFC terminal
Loud earpiece for phone conversations
Responsive and quick
I would give this phone a 9.8/10

Absolutely love the break from Apple chains, however, giving only 3 stars bc Samsung no longer supports extra mem chip, big power button and Active button on sides should NOT be on the sides since it's EASILY hit while using phone, VERY limited options for Settings compared to iPhones, and speaker on back bottom of phone is weird when u are looking at screen while using phone. But do love having more mem for less $ than iPhone, LOVE ability to print photos to printer since iPhone requires Air Printer, looks and feels MUCH more durable than iPhone since glass on iPhones break WAYYYY to easily, and also seems the camera is MUCH better.

I down-graded the S6 active because of the poor transition from my iPhone. After 3 hours I left the store with a good phone, but no contacts, pictures or notes were able to be transferred over. I visited 2 ATT stores also, with no luck. I did get voicemail after 2 weeks.
The camera is great and the phone clarity is also. The battery usage seems about the same that I'm used to. With the water resistance no additional cover was necessary (a savings) and the phone was about $300 less than the new iPhone.
Best Buy offers a class to answer questions on new phones. Probably a good one to take.

I replaced a S6 Edge with this phone. The edge screen broke in two months. This phone is highly durable compared to Edge and the battery time is excellent. Great durable phone, no case is needed because it's built with string case. High recommend and I love the wireless charging that the newer Samsung's have.

This is my first Samsung phone after having an HTC One M7 for 2 years. Battery life is great and everything is reaponsive. I bought an Otterbox case even though this is touted as having a builtin case. There's no option to expand memory but that was not an issue for me. I haven't been enable to change my battery in a long while so that didn't matter to me either. Most phones are going this route these days.

I purchased this phone to replace my Galaxy s4 which was stolen. Being the Active model it is great for my outdoor lifestyle. Don't have to worry about it getting wet while fishing and while we are out hiking. The camera takes awesome pictures, even better than my s4 which was pretty good and the battery life is much better. So far I haven't found anything not to like about it.

I have had this phone for over two years now. I still get about 2 days of light-medium use on a single charge. The camera on this phone is better than my Sony point and shoot in most scenarios, however the Sony camera has better stabilizers. It does what it is supposed to do without a bunch of bloatware and is very easy to customize and navigate.

The Galaxy S6 is an excellent phone, and the S6 Active has everything that has and more. It is water resistant, has the same great 2K screen and blazing fast performance, great battery life, etc. There really aren't any complaints with this device, if you need something to handle your active lifestyle.

These are the best phones we have ever owned. They are simple to use, very well thought out buttons for using and works more like a computer than a phone. There is so much you can do with it that you are limited with other smart phones. The screen is big enough to do whatever you want to on it. The picture is sharp and it takes great photos and video.

The review summary says it all. It is a great phone so far. Love all of the functions: records heart beat, tracks your overall fitness throughout the day. Also it is very durable, I dropped it off a second story and not even a scratch. It is also water-proof - to a degree. Don't go swimming with it. Although Mine caught a virus early now it glitches all the time and freezes up.

So far this is a great phone. It is my son's phone and he shares it with his 5 year old daughter. He has damaged his last 3 phones in the first few months. This one seems more indestructible. He also likes the larger screen.

This is my first Smart phone. It works as smoothly as my computer for accessing the internet and managing various App's. The phone has improved sound and connections in areas where my old Samsung struggled a bit. I dropped it once with no ill effect. Durable and user friendly.
