Best Smartphone I Have Ever Owned

I was due for an upgrade last fall but decided to hold off as I wanted to wait for the new HTC One M9. My previous 2 smartphones had been HTC devices and I liked them a lot. As the M9 launch got closer, I also started reading reviews of the S6 and was intrigued. After reading every review I could find on both devices, I ended up pre-ordering the S6. I have had the S6 for a week now and it has been great. The display is amazing. It is lightening fast. And it is thin and light and feels good in the hand. I really only have two quibbles with the S6 thus far. The battery life could be better. I do use my phone all day long and generally have wifi and bluetooth turned on all the time. I am also in the habit of plugging in whenever convenient. When I am at my desk, it sits on the wireless charging pad (works great) and I routinely plug in while in the car. The other is the Touchwiz UI. To me the colors and icons all feel a bit cartoonish. Its like Samsung went to all this trouble to design a sleek and stylish device on the outside and then gave it a UI that looks like it belongs on a toy. Don't get me wrong, the software works just fine. Its just the look of it that bugs me. I am also coming from an HTC device and I think the their Sense overlay is much cleaner. If you are coming from an older Samsung device, you will probably find the newest Touchwiz to be a refreshing update. I've had no problems with the device. sound quality and call quality are very good. The fingerprint reader works flawlessly. Much has been made of the decision to omit the removable battery and SD card. I didn't have/didn't use these are previous devices, so I don't miss them on my S6. I did opt for the 64G variant. I considered the Edge, but figured it was more practical to spend the extra $100 on storage. I'm a function over form kind of guy anyway.

I upgraded from an Galaxy S3 a few weeks ago and wow!!!! This phone rocks! The camera is amazing and takes the best pictures ever! And the speed of the phone awesome as well. And the wireless charging, and this big screen, and the 64 gigs of space built in, and the battery life (usually gets down to 65% by bed time) and so on and so on... BUY THIS PHONE, YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! If you don't need 64 gigs like me, be sure to use Google Photos or some other Cloud service to store your photos and videos... Microsoft One Drive gives you 100 gigs of FREE cloud storage with this phone and Sprint :-)

I love the new S6. It is fast and easy to use. I love the multi-tasking abilities and the new camera on it is awesome! I don't like that you can't change the battery or add memory to it. One of the reasons I've always gone with the Androids over the ipone is the ability to add extra memory and change the battery when needed....stinks that you can't do that anymore! The battery life on this phone sucks! I'm lucky if I can go 1/2 a day before I have to charge it. The fast charge feature is great and fully charges the phone in just over an hour....nice feature, but I would rather see a battery that can last all day!

The Samsung Galaxy S6 was not my first choice for a new phone. However, once I saw the beautiful display with the clear, crisp colors, I was swayed. Coming from the S4, I wasn't too thrilled that Samsung decided to axe the expandable memory and replaceable battery. I went with the 64gb version to make sure that I have enough storage and I think it will be fine. You also get 100gb of free storage through Microsoft OneDrive, so that helps too. This phone is super fast and just gorgeous. Battery life can be extended by getting rid of some preinstalled apps that aren't necessary.

Look I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review but this phone has blown my mind. I have had everything from apple, blackberry's, and tons of androids. I will have to say I had every line of the Galaxy line and this S6 blows them out of the water. I thought the SD card not being allowed in this model was going to hinder my use of this phone which I always made sure anyone I get had it and this was something I was really worried about. I have had my phone since it was released and I haven't had a need for it once. I just plug the phone into the computer and use it as the sd card rather then using the sd card also it helps that I bought the 64 gig model which I would recommend or the 128 which I haven't needed that much space. Oh the camera let me tell you about that...its the best Camera I have ever used hands down. This was a step up from all the older models and yes it blows away the Iphone. Get this phone or don't know what it feels like to handle speed and pure beauty. I really thought I was just buying into hype getting this phone until I felt it and used it. I will love this phone for a very long time well at least for 2 years ..lol oh and hey check out http://www.thatstheish.com for more info on tech stuff its my site

Much faster phone, plenty of storage, the new fingerprint scan is so much better. Setup was really easy. The true sell of this phone though is the camera. I thought the S5 had a good camera, but this way tops it. Works great in low light, the HDR is awesome, the front facing camera gives great pics and nice touch to put the shutter button on the heart monitor on back for selfies. Can't get enough of this camera!!! Definitely glad I upgraded.

How Great Samsung Galaxy S6 64gb Gold Is

Very nice phone with amazing features. Its slim & sleek, takes photos in 16 megapixels with outstanding high resolution, films & records video in 4K UHD Resolution, has pretty fast processor speeds of 8 core since it has an octacore processor, & has plenty of internal storage space for memory like 64gb. All things considered, i rate this smartphone a 4.5 out of 5. The only minor issue is that the battery percentage life can drain a bit quicker than normal at times.

This is a great phone. I love the sleek new design as well as the titanium gold color. Not the mention the processor is extremely fast. It only took me getting to my 3rd phone in a week to be able to make the comment above. The first phone right out the box, there was a malfunction with the internal battery. Error message instantly. Exchange the phone for another and after a few days, this one would not charge. Not sure if it was just a bad batch of phones, but third time had to be a charm. Thankfully, it was! And my sales guy was awesome throughout the entire process. I walked away with almost $250 in rebates and other accessories! Took away one star for the inconvenience of switching several phones.

Upgraded from Samsung Galaxy S III. Everything is faster, brighter, clearer than my previous smart phone. Had to get 64GB model because there's no SD card for added storage. Like the wireless charging, but that feature made the battery non-interchangeable. Like the feel of the metal frame and glass back, but had to get a shock proof case to limit possible damage. Much better that iPhone IMHO.

Traded up from an S3 to the S6. Major improvements to the user interface and battery life. Only downside is that the battery is no longer easily replaceable and there is no way to add extra storage (SD card). You were able to do both of these on previous versions of the Galaxy, but better battery run-time and large internal storage seem to solve both of those issues. As of now this phone appears to be a winner. I think Samsung sealed the units to reduce it's profile by going with a slimmer internal battery that can't be replaced thereby eliminated the bulkiness of a removable phone battery/back cover. Or are they just following Apple's lead? Battery charges quickly using the provided intelligent charger and the phone has a power-saving mode to increase battery life and an ultra power-saving mode to extend phone use when the battery is nearing depletion. Really nice features to keep the phone operating when you aren't able to access some type of charger.

I've had both an iPhone as well as the Galaxy's. From the time of my S3, I hadn't looked back. The Galaxy was already tough to compete with and then here comes the S6. I love MOST everything about it. It's lightning fast, I'm able to use it as a drive and since ALL of the devices in my home are Samsung (yes, they Jim Jones'd me) , I'm ALLSHARED and Screen Mirroring like theres no tomorrow. The one thing that I don't like and was a little disappointed with was the lack of a removable back and being unable to use a micro SD card. Other than that, its STILL an iPhone Killer .....

I want to start with the bad because it's the only con I have about the phone. The biggest difference between this version and the older Galaxy S phones is the lack of a removable battery and additional SD card slot. Other than that it is an upgrade worth getting coming from any of the previous GS phones. I had the GS 4 and 5 before this one. And the 4 to the 5 was hardly an upgrade. The GS 6 has a MUCH better camera (front and back) and a better screen (higher resolution and prettier). The Samsung Pay feature is awesome and secure using the new fingerprint technology (much better than the GS 5 fingerprint tech). Beware however, the phone is a little slippery with the Gorilla glass on both sides. It's a beautiful phone and sleek as can be. It gives the iPhone a run for it's money (in appearance) Samsung has been looking for. Still better than the competition IMHO. Well done!

Great device with a beautiful screen. UI is more responsive than before with no hiccups whatsoever. Battery is better than my S4. No expandable memory was a biggie for me, but with Google Drive I'm not so worried about that anymore. 64Gb is plenty enough for me and the 15gb that Drive offers is even better than the 16gb the S4 offered. Removable battery wasn't really a deal for me, but it does come in handy to be able to swap out. As for the week I've spent with the phone I can say it is Samsung reborn.

Other than taking away the features of having a removable/replaceable battery and not having a micro sd card slot, this phone runs smoother than the previous versions. You can get around the battery and sd card issue by buying an incipio offgrid case.

Likes: Camera - great picture quality, fast shutter speed Screen - bright, vivid colors. Gorilla screen gives me a piece of mind. (Have a toddler) Themes - Allows to change the look of it without having to root it Dislikes: Battery - not being able to change the battery or take it out Extra storage - took away the ability to add an SD card, which meant I had to fork out an extra $100 for the 64GB.

And for that matter it's easily one of the best built Android phones period. A lot of people don't like the compromises Samsung made along the way, but frankly this is a gorgeous phone machined to perfection that is speedy and has a wonderful camera that even outclasses the iPhone. For those on the fence about Android after coming from an iPhone or a Lumia device this device has the hardware to assuage those fears and modern Android is nothing like the clunky beast you may have based your previous aversion on. Go to a Best Buy location and pick it up, play with it, give it some serious consideration. You might be surprised with what you find.
