I upgraded from an S6 to this and I'm incredibly pleased. Fast processor, excellent camera, and a little more durable than my last.

Needed a very durable phone with good camera for work. Battery life is good and really pleased with the built in Samsung features.

Bought this new phone for my wife to finally get her away from the iPhone and she loves it. She doesn't understand why her old phone company (Apple) wouldn't make a phone like this that's both durable and functional as well as being slim for everything that Samsung manages to pack into the phone. So far no complaints and no buyers remorse from either of us. The S7 active is a great phone for those who live a more adventurous lifestyle or are known to occasionally drop their phones on the ground..or in a pool.

Great phone very durable, camera takes nice clear pictures. No notable issues. Battery life is great even with all day use.

So far I have had this phone for about a month. What I liked about it was the toughness of the previous active models and this one doesn't disappoint especially the fact I can go all day and by midnight my phone is only at 20% battery. Only thing keeping this phone from 5 stars is the effect that did not pass the five foot water test but I'm not going swimming with the phone so it doesn't bother me but if it rains while I'm on the phone no worries here. 4 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of storage make this phone really stand out.

This phone has a great tactile feel. Buttons on the case instead of touch sensitive keys. Excellent size. Phone quality is very good. The battery life is outstanding. I really like the fast wireless charging. Definitely purchase the fast charging station. I'm concerned about the battery being built in but that is where all of the phones are heading. Perfect for me. I considered an I-Phone but chose this phone and haven't looked back. Buy it and just use it. It works great.

It's the best cell phone i've had. Pretty much you cant break this phone, water proof 100% and the camera takes awsome pictures!!!

Love the fact that the battery is huge, the phone is durable and waterproof and the beautiful pictures it takes.

This phone is lightning fast! I like not having to buy a case or screen cover also. The back allows you to hold the phone very easily because it has a gripper case built onto the Active. It is also water resistant and the battery life is above and beyond any phone I have ever owned. You cannot get to the battery though because the phone is sealed but that is not an issue for me.

I recently had to upgrade from my HTC M9 to the S7 Active. I am a fan HTC and disappointed I couldn't get another one with geek squad backing it up. I got the phone based on its reputation as a sturdy "non-bulky" phone with phenomenonal battery life. Luckily for me it's all those things. It's a slim bulletproof phone with a beast of a battery! More than satisfied. If you need a tough phone with plenty of space for memory and battery power this is your phone.

Very satisfied with purchase. The case around the phone gives you a piece of mind knowing it can take a drop or water. I was gonna buy the s7 edge but the active is the same phone just protected. Why wouldn't you want that lol. Also The camera on this phone is amazing! I've gotten so many compliments. And the battery is awesome I'm a heavy user and I still have so much battery left at the end of the day. Great phone must buy !

While I was one of the ones that suffered the Note 7 fiasco, by sheer luck I gave Samsung another chance, I got the Active, because the 7 Edge is a waste of screen and more like a gimmic unless you are a stock broker...and the 7, well, is just that, another phone... the 7 active looks cool, has better protection (I got a slim case that makes it look better, no need for bulky ones) and, the battery, a whooping 4000ma! I drive for a living, and sometimes you dont get a fleet vehicle with 12v outlets, this phone will work for 8 to 9hrs using Google maps with no issue, and still have about 18-22% battery...I love that! Yed, I miss the stylus, but a quick look on Amazon will get you a simple stylus that will work for most basic tasks. overall, is as great as any other 7, without the gimmicky edge screen and a massive battery!

Samsung has done it again! This phone is the perfect size and durability! Awesome camera too!

This is obviously a quality phone. The display is bright, and the controls function crisply and audibly. It is fast, and has the added feature of being rugged, hence the "active" designation. As such, it's a bit larger than most, but does not require an accessory case. I'm very pleased with mine, and recommend it. I understand they're about to be discontinued, so get yours now if you'd like one.

This is a quality phone. The camera is excellent and the battery life is top notch. I’m a moderate user and I get 3 to 4 days between charging. Plus, this phone comes with wireless charging. If you get one of the chargers you don’t have to do anything but put the phone directly on top of it. If you have had Samsung phones in the past, just about everything works the same. Not much of a learning curve.

I bought this phone for my girlfriend. Two selling points was the fact the phone came with a case already built around the phone and the fact it was water resistant. So far the phone has been dropped about 6 or 7 times and nothing has happened to the phone. I would recommend this for someone who wants a sturdy phone.

Love that I did not have to purchase a screen protector or phone protector. This phone is thin and durable. I love the camera as it produces wonderful pictures. I have only had the phone for about 3 1/2 weeks so have not had the time to learn all of the perks on the phone. I plan to take a class at Best Buy so that I can explore the phone's high points. This is why I gave it 4 stars since I haven't learned much about the phone.

The S7 Active is a great phone and has an awesome battery. The camera is great also. The only downside to the S7 Active is the tiny single speaker that sounds really cheap. My wife and daughter both have Apple products and their phones sound so much better than mine. I would still rather have my S7 over their iphones, but for for $800 Samsung should really go to a dual speaker system on the S7.

Bought the phone for the husband. Loved that I got a $200 gift card promo for it. I got him the Active because it was a little sturdier. I got the S7 Edge and didn't like that the glass screen is so sensitive and cracked, so I told him to get the Active. The Active already has a case built around it so you don't have to buy a case because there won't be cases for it.

I only upgraded due to updates that I'd been waiting for: expandable memory, longer battery life and fingerprint sensor. I had the camo and planned for the camo again but I saw the gold hue which isn't blingy like the iphone gold, its a muted color and looks a "rugged" gold. Most needed for me was expandable memory since I like taking pics of my dogs, recipes, casing ideas of diy projects & music. As for battery life, the S6 would last a day and I'd have to put it on the charger at night, even when I used power saving. WIth S7, my phone goes up to 2 days without a charge, using power saving mode at night. I have yet to try the fingerprint sensor but this was a nice option to have; I just need to make the time to set it up along with my Gear S2. A nice touch are the two outer buttons on the front, they're textured which allows for faster determination between center or outer keys when unable to see directly for operating. Overall, this is recommended for anyone wanting these upgrades that S6 doesn't offer. As a previous old iphone user, I think the iphone was easier to set up from previous installed apps and easy learning curve of new features compared to Samsung phones. This is my 4th Samsung and feel there are more steps than needed to get the layout and apps set back up similar to my old phone.
