Customers love the Galaxy S7 edge 32GB's camera quality, battery life, and screen size, with many praising its ease of use and design. This phone is absolutely superior to any other I have ever owned or used. Superb camera, lightning fast response time in every app I use, and great size for carrying and viewing photos. And the battery life and fast charging time are phenomenal! Can't imagine them improving on this!

Bought this to upgrade all features but particularly love the camera. Fast and accurate - found it great in getting night shots in Europe. The select focus feature lets me get some dynamic shots.

Let me start by say that the battery longevity in this phone is great. its a great looking phone with similiar features as all the other S series Samsungs. With that being said, the edge feature is terrible. I constantly inadvertently hit the menu bar and other parts of the screen just while holding tbe phone. Sometimes Ill be trying to use or tap a function and it doesnt work simply because my hand or finger is already on the screen while im holding the phone. This phone is also super slippery. If you purchase this phone you will have to buy a case. Which brings me to the next topic... the back of the phone is made of glass! I shattered the back on only a 1-2 foot fall. 6 days after i purchased it! Sigh! Luckily, I found a replacement part on Ebay for $20.
I do not recommend this phone. As a matter of fact, 3 of 4 S5's i bought 2 years ago will not recognize the original chargers when the phone is on.
This will probably be my last Samsung S series purchase.

I had to return my Note 7. I loved that phone, but a safety recall forced me to replace it.
Next BEST option was the Galaxy S7 Edge.
The phone size is closest to the Note 7.
Samsung is my brand of choice and Best Buy is my go-to store for all things "geek".

I have had the Galaxy S5 for over two years and dropped MANY times and even had the back come off and battery fall out several times, but NEVER broke the screen. On the very "1st" drop at only 4' on the S7 edge the screen had major damage on THREE corners. I tried to exchange the new replacement for the S7 (not edge), but was told it is beyond the 14 days, but still less than 30days. I am very disappointed at the ease at which the screen broke!

The phone is fine. This review is for Best Buy. I'm not Mr Self Important who leaves negative reviews, but this should be shared.
I ordered this phone because I have a Note 7 and I have to send it back. When I received the phone I never activated it because the software made for a serious downgrade.
I returned it to my local store because that seemed easiest. After a month, It seems the phone hasn't made it back to the warehouse and so my "upgrade" is tied up on this order, which again, was returned to my local store.
I spent 45 minutes in a Best Buy mobile on Black Friday where the sales rep was on the phone with something called a War Room. They told me to contact my carrier. Verizon says this is a Best Buy issue.

So far I'm loving my S7 Edge. I had a Nexus 5X, but the performance issues, especially with the camera, were killing me. I also considered the Nexus 6P but it's a bigger phone than I wanted. And so to the rescue came the S7 Edge: Top-notch specs, great camera, and a nice big 5.5-inch screen on a beautifully designed phone that's not too big and not too small.
Now, do I love everything about Samsung's TouchWiz? No, but the version on the S7, paired with Android Marshmallow, has been toned down from its cartoonish predecessors and it has nice features stock Android doesn't (examples: multi-tasking apps, sortable app drawer). I also really like the Edge panel feature; some call it a gimmick, but it's a seamless way to launch apps while in another app, as well as access useful news tools and info. I've never been that interested in Samsung's phones, but the S7 has changed my mind. Pros (+) and cons (-) below.
PROS
+ The Edge display is a thing of beauty, as is the phone's overall design. The contoured shape feels great in the hand -- it's the perfect size with an outsized screen.
+ Top-rated camera. The camera quick launch is also a must-have.
+ Wireless charging in a word: Awesome.
+ The Always On Display is handy; I refer to it throughout the day.
+ Love having a water-resistant phone. It's perfect for all sorts of summertime water activities -- splashing in the pool with the kids, going to the beach, you name it.
+ Good Lock: The reviews for the lockscreen enhancement app are mixed in the Galaxy Apps store, but overall I like it -- it provides easy access to most core features right from the lockscreen, such as app shortcuts and widgets.
+ Samsung Pay: I've tried both Samsung Pay and Android Pay and while both are good, I like the easy access to Samsung Pay right from the bottom of the lockscreen. And there are two other advantages to Samsung Pay: 1) Being able to use it with both NFC and magnetic card readers and 2) launching the "read" mode screen where you can see the app scanning for a card reader and then display a confirmation checkmark when payment is successful. Paying by phone still isn't that widespread and doesn't always work that seamlessly, so having the visual confirmation with the Samsung Pay app makes it easier.
+ Restart Android option in TouchWiz: Why isn't this standard in Android? Other nice features of TouchWiz that should be duplicated: 1) The copy and paste clipboard. 2) The Move Apps option where you can move multiple app shortcuts from one homescreen to another.
CONS
- While the Always On Dispaly is handy, it doesn't show app notifications, which is something I miss about the 5X ambient display and the active display on my old Moto X as well.
MIXED
+/- I like the Samsung fingerprint sensor, but it's way more finicky than my 5X. If my hands are dry it doesn't work half the time. If my hands are waterlogged from cleaning the pool, it doesn't work. There's just a much narrower range where it actually works. On a related note, there are pros and cons to having the sensor on the front of the phone vs. the back. I found the 5X sensor on the back faster to activate, unless of course the phone is flat on a desk or other surface, where the front-facing sensor on the S7 wins.
+/- The Split Screen View is cool and I do use it regularly, but it can bog down the phone's performance.
SUGGESTION
It would be nice for all the Always On Display to show 1) the weather and 2) all app notifications

And what a welcome! I made the jump after previewing this phone in the store and being amazed. The screen is very clear and bright, the camera is amazing in the the dark and in bright light, the ability to use it with the VR gear, the battery life, the watery resistance, etc, etc. I can't believe I stuck to iOS for so long. Android was second nature and easy to use. I don't think I'll ever go back. If you are an iOS user this is the phone that will bring you to the light side.

Pros-
Screen
Speed
Storage
VR is cool
Size
Waterproof
Split Screen
Cons
SD card issues
Battery drain when not in use
loss of IR blaster
I had a Note 4 and S6. The battery on the S6 edge was horrific and I went to the Turbo 2, which was a nice phone but a bit bulky.
The larger battery, even if it is not perfect, was important and a drastic improvement. Drainage when the phone is not in use has been hit and miss. It was minimal but as updates came along, depleted more. Latest update seems to stabilize usage.
Im enjoying this slimmed down version of the S6 Edge plus. I use the edge screen features off and on, but not essential.
I have read contrary reports re the SD car and if it can be used as seamless storage. When I encrypted the SD card, applications I transferred would not work after a reboot. Its okay as I still seem to have between 10-12 GB of available internal space after all of my applications and music was added.
Overall, great phone, even with some issues!

I dont know why people are going crazy about this phone. When you buy it you'll see how slow this phone is compare to an iPhone, also the camera in low light conditions(in side my house with light on) it looks very bad. It looks like yellow and the selfie camera looks like it has less then a pixel. You can barely see any dital. And the battery is bad. 3 hours equal to 80% of the battery phone.

I bought 2 of these phones recently for the wife and I. They were on sale so seemed like a better value when compared to the S8. We upgraded from a S5 and the differences are major. The camera on the S7 line is really good, especially the selfie camera. The selfie cam on the S5 is garbage by comparison. Low light photography has been awesome and rivals what I get indoors with my DSLR. Also, I trust the water proofing on these phones more so than the S5s as they relied on a rubber gasket inside the plastic back cover. The batter life is the kicker here. My wife would burn through her S5 battery by ~4pm. Now the S7 edge will last well until 11PM if not later. It usually doesn't run out of juice during the day unless she's streaming an Audible book all day. I do recommend a case and screen protector. The phone is glass all around and seemingly fragile. For a screen protector, it looks like only the wet films work for the curved screen. I wouldn't waste any time on the glass or dry one.

I just recently upgraded my phone from the Galaxy S5 to the Galaxy S7 edge. I love the design of this phone. It is very light, clean looking, but keeps great features like water resistant and external SD card slot. Overall the battery holds great charge for my average daily use(even with games played). The edge screen makes the phone really pop. I personally don't use the edge screen to its full potential, but I love the look. Amazing camera, fast processor, accurate fingerprint scanner. Customizing this phone is also great. I love how I can change the themes of this phone and basically personalize it so it has my own touch to it.

I've been an HTC loyalist for the past 5+ years, and I used to deeply dislike Galaxy phones, but clearly Samsung has earned my purchase. The phone is waterproof, has a giant battery that charges fast, external storage, the gold metal looks sharp, the edge screen is cool (though it mostly just adds looks), the camera is the best I've ever seen on a phone, it has 4 gigs of ram, it does split screen and minimizing, and more. Things I miss about HTC is the front facing speakers, though the S7 Edge's speaker isn't bad, HTC's predictive text seemed to work better, HTC's power saver allowed things to run still while saving power (while this phone's power saver shuts apps down such as Pandora when the phone is locked or screen times out) and many of HTC's default apps and widgets looked better than Samsung's and aftermarket apps/widgets do. My least favorite part of the phone is that it randomly unlocks or opens the screen, and always unlocks when I get a text. I have searched all over my phone's settings to try and make it stop, but now I just hope a software update will fix this issue. I would very highly recommend this phone.

Went from an S4 to an S7 Edge. Skipped the S5 and S6 for a variety of reasons and I'm glad I waited. Easy enough to handle one handed although I do occasionally activate the edge menus accidentally. Display is as good as any I've seen. Apps come up quick, sound quality on the phone is good and battery life is above average. I can go almost 2 full days between charges if I don't burden the phone unnecessarily with leaving on Wi-Fi, location and bluetooth when I don't need them. Even with them running I get get a full day. Biggest drain is GPS. All in all I would definitely recommend this. FYI - I also carry an Apple 6S for work. Still a big fan of Android over Apple and this phone just adds to my preference.

Easy to use and the display is phenomenal. I have had some communication issues where people say they can't hear me and I can hear them, only reason a 4. It's not often and may be service rather than phone
Love that Samsung moved back to allowing for expansion of memory, in fact up to 200GB. Purchased 200GB card and have had no issues with performance.
There are some fat apps that are not allowed to be uninstalled taking up space locally, but with expansion and some apps allowing for move to the expanded memory not so worried.
Use with;
VR Gear: Seems to get overly heated, as did an S6. It takes up a lot of the battery as well. Think need to work on this if really promoting the
Wireless headphones (Jaybird): No issue, connection easy and sound is great.
VR. The VR however is enjoyable when you want to get away and play a game. Hook-up some wireless head-phones, get a wireless controller and heaven for a peaceful retreat from reality, or just sit on a couch in VR and watch a movie on Netflix or in VR Movie theater. It's clear and the sound is excellent.
Wearable (Samsung Gear S2 Classic): Just got but was a snap to setup and so far what I've seen I will love this tool coupled with the phone.
Easy to group apps, sound quality, without headphones and with is excellent. Video chatting, email, it is one of the best tools I've used with clear and crisp display. Camera easily accessible and beautiful pictures, now can have a quick vid of pic as well.
For me this is a step up from S5 and S6.

I've been using Android phones since the original Nexus and have never been disappointed. They keep getting better and the Galaxy S7 Edge is arguably the best phone I've ever owned. I was particularly attracted to the phone's design and screen. I purchased the silver version and have since protected it with a Spigen Liquid Crystal case. It's too beautiful to hide in a bulky case that changes its appearance. I contemplated switching to an iPhone 6s Plus but after taking a closer look at the S7 Edges I was sold. I like phones with larger screens and the S7 Edge felt more comfortable in my hand. It offers the same size screen as the 6s Plus but the phone is noticeably smaller in a good way. Additionally, the camera is awesome, top of the line processor, it offers expansion capabilities, the screen is beautiful and to top things off it came with a free Samsung TV. What's not to like.
