I purchased this phone with great trepidation as my S6 was a horror. Slow, horrible battery life, and over heating. Within 6 months I had to return it under warranty and nurse a new one for a year and a half until the contract was up. So I thought of going to the IPhone but everywhere I went I was told that the S8 had addressed those issues. I finally took the leap of faith and purchased the S8 in September and have not been sorry. Good if not excellent battery life, very few over heating issues, and fast. The fingerprint sensor location is a pain and the Bixby button is an enigma but all that can be worked around. The important thing is that it works well and has restored my faith in Samsung. I just wish someone will come up with a clear, bright screen that can be seen in bright sunlight AND not show so many fingerprints.

    Can't go wrong with Samsung!

Been loyal to Samsung since the Fascinate days. I essentially skip every odd Galaxy, so I can't compare much to the S7. I can say this is a noticeable upgrade from my S6 Edge plus. The larger, almost bezel-less screen is actually smaller in my hand than the s6 edge+. The battery life is vastly improved over my previous galaxy device. My only complaint is this phone takes forever to charge, even with the included fast charging plug.

6s to S8, Great display, scratches easily!

6 years with iPhone, last one being the 6s. Upgrade time and Apple wasn't impressing me with the 8 or X. I never planned to leave Apple but I was able to get the S8 for less than half price. If I hadn't been able to do that I would probably still have an iPhone. The S8 display looks amazing and it is probably more so what Apple should have done with the X, but it doesn't seem very durable. I didn't get a case or screen protector right away because I wasn't sure I would keep the phone. In the first 3 days I had never dropped it or scraped it on anything. Going in and out of my pocket or sitting on my desk or night stand and somehow the back got scuffed up and the screen was scratched. I treated this thing better than my own children because I thought I might return it still. I had gone without a screen protector or case on my iPhones many times and even dropped them and I have NEVER had an iPhone screen get a scratch. The curved screen makes the display look even better, but as for function and practicality it gets a little annoying when certain buttons or images are wrapped over the edge. Other than that, the overall design of the phone is pretty great. It was a full screen without the annoyance of a "notch". It still has a headphone jack which I use daily while charging and I can still pick my phone up and have it charge still, unlike “wireless” charging. It keeps a virtual home button which I like, AND it still has a fingerprint scanner! It might not be in the best spot but I don’t seem to have the problem most people complain about, especially with a case on it, it is easy to get it every time without hitting the camera lens. Bixby button is dumb and I deactivated it and the Bixby home screen. Google assistant is better. The S8 does have great customization but at the same time there are so many features and options it is a little tough to find something specific in the settings. Coming from Apple it is annoying to have 3 messaging apps, 2 photo apps, 2 internet apps, 2 email apps, and countless others preinstalled on the phone. I had no idea what to use and what was better, or safer, or what was going to cost me money with memberships (that was mostly Verizon’s apps). Apple is pretty straight forward, here are your apps that work best on the phone and are secure. If you want others you choose them and download them. There are other key features that I like WAY more on Apple, but there are also many features that I really like with the S8. I could go on and on with my likes and dislikes but overall it is a pretty good phone and I am keeping it. In the future I might go back to Apple or I might get another android of some sort. It will all depend on what the new phones have to offer and if they are worth the money. Hopefully, it will be one with an under screen fingerprint scanner like the Chinese phone that was just announced.

Samsung keeps on knocking it out of the park. The S8 is awesome. We upgraded from a S6 to a S8. The new features are great. The battery lasts much longer and charges even faster. I do like the new USB C cable and I like the fact that Samsung put an adapter in the box so we could use our old cables. The only negative which really isn't a negative is Bixby. Still trying to get it to work properly. What I do miss from S6 is the home button. The physical home button was much easier to use and was much easier to find on my S6.

I LOVE this phone. I've had it since black Friday and I have not had any issues with it. Holds a charge all day (even with heavy usage) and re-charges in about an hour and a half! Very fast, takes excellent pictures, and has a TON of space. Very excited to have it!

This phone is easy to use looks sleek has an amazing screen and is several times more powerful than Apples new $1000 phone. Apple will probably have this tech on the market in about 5 years, and charge $1500 for it, or you could get all that now at a fraction of the price!

I went from a Samsung Galaxy S4 to a Samsung Galaxy S8. I thought that there would be some new bells and whistles. Can I say how every wrong I was? This phone is so much better. It has a heavier feel, is so much faster, and has so much memory to do things with. The battery life lasts 3 times longer...and the phone call quality is so much better when the speaker phone is used. The camera is significantly better. Basically, Samsung has really perfected things in this model.

This replaced an older HTC phone with a battery that was getting weaker. I am not a big user, so my only needing to charge the phone every 2 or 3 days is not something most users will experience. The camera takes great pictures and videos. Sound quality on the phone is also quite good. I have been using this Samsung Galaxy S8 for about 3 weeks. I have had zero problems. I like how fast it opens and closes apps and surfs the internet. A step up from my previous phone.

I have been using Samsung products for years, from MP3 players, tablets, and Galaxy Phones. The fit, form, and function is great. The adaptability, and user experience are also great. I despise having to use a secondary computer software to download or upload things to a phone (iTunes/Apple). Samsung makes this an easy plug and play. The camera is as good as my simple point and click digital, and way better than some others I have used. Excellent phone!!!

Samsung Galaxy S8 is so much faster than the S4 it replaced that I am often surprised and amazed. The phone is easy to use but the new interface can be intimidating until you become acquainted with it. Some of the software is lame but all in all it just plain works better than any phone I have used. The camera is insanely good. Bluetooth can use multiple devices simultaneously and the list goes on. Buy one, you will be happy too.
