    Great Phone, But....

I pre-ordered this phone and was very anxious to get it. When I got it, I wasn't disappointed. The look, shape and feel was beautiful. The camera takes excellent pictures that are very accurate and true to life. Even better than my old LG G4 (which took great pictures!). The phone's response is very smooth and fast. Although, I did notice a little lag when I put on a screen protector. Replaced it with a thinner protector and everything's fine. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because of all the "junk" included in the phone. 32 of the 64 gigs is used for the operating system and a ton of unwanted applications. Most of which cannot be uninstalled. I spend the first day turning off notification switches. I was getting notifications and Ads from everywhere. Very annoying. Overall, except for the unwanted applications, it's an excellent phone.

I pre-ordered this phone with high expectations and it meets those expectations and surpassed them. I had a Note 4 and with he whole note 7 debacle I didn't grab that so I couldn't wait any longer and grabbed the 8+. This phone is amazing! The camera and video capture is remarkable. There are so many great features and filters. I find myself using the side bar much more than I thought I would. Overall it is very easy to organize all the apps I use very neatly. Its super fast. With multiple programs running this phone just keeps going. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

My previous Samsung phone was the Galaxy Note 4. I held out for the Galaxy Note 7 but after having two of them recalled (no, they did not explode), I purchased the Galaxy s8 which is mostly like the New Note 8. Yes, it does not have a stylus or dual camera, but in most other respects, is the best of the Android best. I did not want to wait an extra 5 months for the Note 8 but would have bought the Note for the extra couple of hundred dollars if it was available at the same time. If you don't place extra importance on the camera or need a stylus, the Galaxy s8 is the best phone Samsung has ever turned without the extra Note 8 features.

I upgraded my phone to this one from an iPhone 6 Plus 64gb and I have to say, it is incredible. Other than a brief stint with an iPhone 5 a few years ago I had only had Android devices. I had and EVO 4g, Galaxy S3, and a Note 4. There are some things that in my opinion Apple just does better. I think iMessage is definitely one of them and also the way apps just work on the iPhone. My 6 Plus was 2+ years old and still works like I bought it yesterday. With that being said.. this phone is head and shoulders above that phone. The camera and video quality is unbelievable, the display is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Everything is so crisp and clear. Everything is zippy on this phone and nothing lags at all. The only complaint I have, and it's not really a complaint persay is that because of the weird aspect ratio, you have to go into settings and tell the phone to use full screen in most apps. Not a big deal, but it is a setting you have to mess with each time you install a new app. The other "gripe" I have with this phone is that it doesn't ship in full QHD from the factory, that's another setting you have to change. Again, not a big deal but let's face it, the screen was one of the selling points if this phone and I know I personally want it set to the highest resolution possible and get the most out of my phone from the getgo. I'm not sure about the Pixel 2, iPhone 8 (or Edition) as they're calling it, or the Note 8, but this phone hands down will be one of the best, if not THE best this year. I love this phone so much. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This phone brought me back to Android. The form factor takes a little getting used to, but once you do, you’ll lose yourself in that gorgeous screen. Top of the line specs, excellent camera, decent battery life for a full day.

I got an ok deal on this, nothing too special. But, we are looking at a top end device. Pit seems to be at a slight disadvantage to the LG G6 with regard to single vs dual camera, but as egen its smaller S8 "little brother" have been improving on things for years, which Apple is only just introducing. For the price, I think the S8+ is still the overall best value - unless the cameras and stylus from the Note 8 are more attractive. I have really been impressed with the battery life. My only complaint is that sometimes there are problems between the phone and the Samsung wireless quick charge pad.

Coming from a Samsung S7 Edge Plus this S8+ has a few nice upgrades. The screen is bigger and seems more vibrant, the camera has quite a few new options. Super snappy response and transitions. The only con is Samsung decided to change the charging port from a micro-usb to a USB3.0 so all your old chargers and accessory connections require an adapter (included)...that is kind of annoying. Overall, it's everything you could ask for in a mobile device. It's the best phone available right now.

My galaxy note 4 froze during a firmware update and could not be brought back. Hence my new phone purchase and upgrade was the 8+ it's very large and has a lot of features I come to expect from Samsung. It's very fast the screen is large and super crisp and detailed. It charges fast and it lasts nearly 8 hours of non stop usage. Nest for emulators and games too. I recommend a phone case to protect this as it's very thin with a huge screen.

This has all the bells and whistles any smart phone owner wants. Reliable, looks great, clear picture quality, large screen, expandable memory (SD card slot). This is one of the first 6 inch screen smart phones I purchased and I still use it as a back up phone in case my current Note 9 somehow goes offline. The S8 plus is still a great phone with solid battery time.
