    Top notch performance

Excellent performance in a sleek package. Phone is perfect size in my opinion and feels great in the hand. Improved location of fingerprint sensor, excellent camera and beautiful screen. New 645 processor seems lightning fast and now can disable Bixby in settings to avoid accidental touch. I'm not sure what else you could want in a phone. I use unlocked version on tmobile and works great. Yes wifi calling works perfectly. I traded a pixel 2 and the hardware on Samsung is superior. I like pure android also but Samsung has done a great job on their little unique functions. Excellent lte reception. Buy a nice protective case as phone is beautiful and fragile on both sides. Memory expansion and headphone jack make a very good product better.

Its such a great phone, I really have nothing negative to say. The camera is awesome, its super fast, the battery life is also very good. I wouldnt update from a S8 to a S9, but if you are comming from something less new than a S8, you should consider the S9

I'm just going to say it, I absolutely 100% love this phone. I had a Pixel 2, which is a great device, but unfortunately it took a dive and was broken. My girlfriend and I were looking to switch carriers, so I played it extra safe by buying the unlocked version. Since I first powered this phone up I've been in love. It is fast, responsive, the screen is outrageously gorgeous, and it has everything an Android User could need. I would say, for first-time Android users it could come with a difficulty curve especially if you're coming from Apple, but it'll just take some time to master the phone. A lot of people take swings at Samsung's "bloatware" but I've honestly enjoyed many of the apps they load the phone with. Samsung Internet is great and secure, and if you have to switch into Secret Mode (Their version if incognito) you can set it to require a password or your fingerprint for extra security (and requires you to do it again should you move from that screen). The other apps have been great and helpful: Samsung health, for working out or managing diet, or even their base messenger app, which I believe works pretty well. I would say if you've been interested in Samsung or unsure, go check out a preview model at your local BestBuy/Service Provider. It's a great phone and is wonderfully crafted. Great job, Samsung, I believe you have another faithful buyer if you keep up the quality that this phone brings!

    Switched from Pixel's to Samsung

I can not suggest this phone enough. It does more than any pixel I have ever owned. I once hated touchwiz and swore I would never get a samsung phone. They have really changed and I am very impressed with how the phone handles the interface tweaks. Some of the big things I would like to point out. Battery - I am getting excellent battery life. I have used it on long rides and have been getting 8 to 10 hours of display time. Enough to last me through the day. I don't find myself needing to reach for a charger until it gets very late at night. -Dex Dex is greatly underrated. I am a teacher given a 6 year old laptop to use for work. I instead got a monitor and cable. I can do everything from writing in word to grading papers. Grabbing my phone when I leave reduced my amount I had to carry around to just a phone. - Samsung tweaks The tweaks samsung does only add to the experience of the phone. Not only can I "cast" my phone screen to my chromecast/android Tv at home, I can with other devices. Granted some of these devices are samsung branded devices. I found my Microsoft wireless display adapter I got for my surface works with my phone. Some of the tweaks I don't care much about can be shut off. I didn't care for the edge screens. Without much effort they got shut off. Anything that I don't like can be changed or tweaked. Want to swap the back and app view, no problem. Want to download a theme to change to make them look more "android" no problem. Want to change the colors of the notification quick access no problem. I can go on and on about how much I enjoy this phone. I look forward to getting more notes from samsung.

Wonderful Value With All The Features

At this point in late 2019, this phone is still keeping up with today's flagships. It's got a wonderful screen, great camera, decent battery life, wireless charging, its getting one ui 2.0, curved screen, expandable memory, a back mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, Dolby Atmos sound, USB-C, a headphone jack, dual speakers, and definitely enough speed for everyday use or even most intense games at max settings. Compared to, say a Galaxy S10, this phone isn't that great if you're not factoring in the price. But if you do, this phone is an excellent value buy. Before I end the review, I'd like to talk about the cons. While there are few, id like to talk about them. It uses an outdated snapdragon 845 chip, it has, I believe 3gb of ram, and charges to 0 to 100 in about 2 hours (In my experience) It also has a back mounted fingerprint sensor instead of in screen. Only one camera, and theres only one "real" speaker, the other one is just the ear piece. My last and final con is that the bezels are pretty big compared to, say the note 10. At least is doesn't have a punch hole or notch! That concludes my review of the Galaxy S9. Th summarize, it has a majority of flagship features, for a great value price. Written on 11-30-19

    great new phone

All new phones are fast and have great battery life, so that's a given and is pointless to includ in a review. I replaced an s4 with this. In reality, I like the s4 better, but it's outdated and I can't get updates, and it has really slowed down. My husband and I each got one of these and could've saved $200 if we knew straight talk had them on their site. Switching over was easy and the staff was great in helping us. This phone has too many sneaky places you have to go to change settings, which are unnecessary and time consuming, and I'll bet I still haven't found everything. I do not like how they don't provide a manual that shows what you can do with the phone and how. I love the display and clarity from Samsung, and have had 2, s3's, 1, s4 and this. The phone is beautiful to look at and sleek. I wish I knew they came in lilac/purple, but black and gold were our only choices. The curved screen makes it sleek, but I fear will hinder the durability I've had with my other phones and I'd rather not have it. Also, since I only use otterbox, the screen protector is quite expensive and was told we have to get that from otterbox, due to the curved screen. This may be more narrow so you can hold it with one hand, but I had no trouble with the wider, s4. This phone is too heavy and top heavy to hold with one hand, for any length of time, compared to the s4. It's too heavy to play 8 ball pool on, compared to the s4. The narrow screen doesn't allow as much writing on the screen without having to zoom and scroll more if you're reading an article, which also makes it difficult for me to see and read. I'm 50 and it's getting challenging. There are a lot of features for sure, but not much that is necessary or that I'll ever use. Samsung pass keeps annoying me about auto filling sign ins and forms. I don't know how to stop that. My browser does that for me. I feel like it's overkill having so much Google stuff and Samsung stuff on one phone. Google assistant AND Bixby? I don't use either. The s4 did, but not to the extreme this does. The camera seems cool, but I have no idea what is possible with it, except that you can't zoom before you start recording video, which I like to do and can on my s4. Everyone keeps talking about the sound quality, and while I have no trouble with hearing, it sure did not play a simple you tube video about Endgame, loud enough for our liking. I have no trouble with the s4. We were hugging the phone. I'm not fond of the notification tone choices or the ringtones. And with the s4, I could pick different ringtones for different contacts, different tones for messages and applications. Not with this. I always kept different tones for my husband and son, so I wouldn't have to kill myself to get to the phone. Samsung should not have taken that valuable feature away. We were hugging the phone. I have yet to find anywhere that you can add music. There's no music "app", (icon), not even the one from Samsung, like on my s4. All I've found was in Google services, which I didn't plan to use. I wish they had not pre-loaded so much stuff from Samsung or otherwise, including Facebook and their little extras. The updates are ridiculous and I guess that's why it's a 64gb. I mean, really, updates for device care? I've had this phone a couple weeks and there's new updates every time I turn around. There are several applications that get updates that aren't necessary. They weren't on my s4. I am practical and just prefer simplicity. It would be nice to have choices, but they all have to keep up with each other and out do each other, to keep selling phones, while I have numerous phones that just go to landfills? It's wasteful. my other galaxies don't have a scratch on them and look great, but because of operating systems, they're obsolete. This is a nice phone though.

When my old phone was finally time for an upgrade, I decided to try something different. Instead of going to a Verizon store and suffering thorough that mind numbing experience, I bought my new phone from Best Buy and I bought it UNLOCKED. I picked it up for the store, took it home, and activated it there. As if that wasn't refreshing enough, even though I activated on Verizon, my phone does NOT have all that useless Verizon bloatware. Bonus! This phone upgrade was such a pleasant experience I plan on all my new phones to be unlocked and bought from Best Buy online.

I find the camera feature most fascinating. It gives a very good picture even in low light. N I love bixby. It is very useful when your hand is occupied with other stuff. The battery life is better and there is still room for improvement.

The phone has an awesome look and feels great in the hand. The display when set to the highest settings its beautiful especially with 4k videos playing! The camera is better than most! Only complaint is but this might be my fault is the infinity display although beautiful since it curves I accidentally push things when holding the phone
