I'm aware they have the 10am out now, but for those who cannot afford such a steep pricepoint, this will suit you just fine. Amazing speaker quality sound & clarity, user interface, excellent camera and features, ease of grip/hold, and pocket friendly. Decent battery life. Many enjoyable features on this device. Love it!!

Camera has lots of cool features that I'm still discovering. Love the biometrics - facial recognition and fingerprint are super convenient. Very glad to have the universal unlocked version not tied to a carrier so there is not nearly so much bloat wear. Set up takes a while as there are so many features to go through in the settings but most are set it and forget it, so that's fine. It's nice to have the choices to personalize how I want it set up. Also super happy with the ease of transferring everything from my old Samsung to this one. I don't care for Bixby since it's overwhelming but I was able to adjust it so it doesn't pop up so that's fine. The only reason I'm rating value lower is that it is still a bit expensive and you pay more for not activating on one of the plans at Best Buy and they don't do my plan. Which to me defeats the purpose of an unlocked phone - you shouldn't be penalized for using the phone with any carrier you choose which is what the phone is intended for.

Samsung S9 is a very elegant looking phone. It is big but compact enough to dial with one hand. It is very responsive. Video and sound is very clear for a smartphone and it is video camera mode is quite remarkable for a smartphone. It takes video almost as good as a professional video camera.

First I wanted a cell phone with a super camera and I made the right pick, the pictures and videos the S9 takes are really nice. Next I wanted one that looks good, and once again I made the right choice. The Lilac Purple looks so nice. Feels good when holding it too, just the right size for me.

I buy it because I love the design, 1 of the most important things I personally look in a phone, is the battery life and this one last forever, plus the fast charger . . . . you will never be out of battery. the camera is insane, take good pictures doesn't mater how the situation is.

Although it is not my IDEAL phone (I hope that it eventually will be possible to get a super reliable plain Android phone, like a reliable Pixel) I can recommend this phone to anyone not bothered by Samsung custom software. I do development to some extent so I look for phones that aid me with that. Samsung takes an approach where they go ahead and substantially develop tools and apps for their devices. Example: Bixby is the assistant (think Suri or Cortana). The settings, and user interface (UI) is custom designed by Samsung. That said, the Galaxy S9 is a great phone. The camera is very good, it has micro SD expansion and a headphone jack. The screen is very good. Battery life has not been a problem. The sound output is good l. I do not do gaming but I imagine that the phone would be fine for all but the most demanding games. It has relatively new processors and adequate memory.

Got it at a discounted rate thanks to price match. This is a really nice phone: screen is brilliant, camera is amazing, and battery lasts an entire day under my regular use. Size isn't too big even with a case, so it can be used even by small-ish hands

I bought this cell phone for my daughter for Christmas. She takes very great care of her phones so I reward her by purchasing the best model out. Last time was 5 years ago and it was the newest and best Samsung on the market. Cost me almost $600. Well, here we are 5 years later and we bought the Samsung S9 (also about $600) and she luvs it !!! She says it's way faster and user friendly and the camera on it is FANTASTIC !!! The pics that she has taken are STUNNING !! Samsung and Best Buy u have done it again, and helped make my girl very happy !!

I think this is one of the best phones I have every had. Camera: I am a big fan of the camera because the quality of the pictures is amazing. And that is one of the reasons that I wanted this phone in the beginning. Speed: the phone runs very well and fast. I dont really know processing and stuff but I've had the phone for a month now and have been running a lot of things at once. Battery: it is amazing how well the battery holds a charge. I can go the whole night without charging the phone and will still be pretty decent and ready to go in terms of charge for the next day. Battery will last me mostly the entire day with normal use. Extra: I have a really fun time figuring out the phone things the phone has to offer. The storage space on the phone is really good. Sorry I couldn't add a picture but I'm using the phone to write the review.

Bought this as an upgrade to a Gen 1 Pixel that had lost battery life. Have used it for a week. The positives: * Good battery life * Crisp screen * Excellent camera Cons: * Samsung bloatware * Curved edge to screen

Owned it for about two weeks before dropping it from a sitting position in a chair and breaking the glass. Because of the glass wrapping around the sides dropping it to where it lands on its side will break the glass. That's two more locations to potentially break the glass. This is my first time in many years of smartphone ownership that I've ever broken the glass. Also holding the sides will often result in accidentally activating the touch screen which is annoying. So do get a protector right away because after that I cannot say enough good things about this device. Love the camera, love the speed.

Great camera, screen, and speed. Looks beautiful (maybe a little too long) but I'm a little worried about dropping it. The edge display is neat, but I feel like it will break easily. I bought a case immediately. Also got a curved tempered glass cover, but I'm not sure how well that will stand up. Coming from a Pixel (and Nexus before that) I personally don't like Samsung's take on Android. I could still figure out how to do everything I wanted, but sometimes it took a few extra steps. Also didn't like the feel of the fingerprint scanner (prefer a big circle on the back, this has a small rectangle on the back). Still, a great phone/camera.

This phone has so many great features! I love it. The camera has such great quality. The apps are easy to access. It has excellent battery life and is very fast.

Latest and greatest tech is nice and all, but way too expensive. I don't stare at my cell phone all day (in fact, try to not use it when working), and i don't care to carry around a $2000 mini computer that i'm likely to drop or lose. I bought the S9 last year when the S10 had come out, so the price was much better (though still very expensive). I prefer to get unlocked/buy outright as opposed to being tied to a carrier. It's too bad that it doesn't have a replaceable battery, and actually i think it's a little too long for my preference (i have small hands). Otherwise, it feels great in your hands, well made, pretty, and does everything you want a phone to do. It doesn't have 9830985 cameras and isn't the newest iphone obviously, but does a good job with taking clear pictures. I like it.

It's so fast, takes great pictures and Best Buy had it unlocked for $100 less than my carrier!

The Samsung S9 is an amazing phone. I bought 4 of these phones for my family. Everyone loves them. It is better to buy unlocked phones, because you can pay them off and don't have to pay a monthly fee to the carriers. I would highly recommend this phone. The battery last all day. I am on my phone for at least 5 of the 8 hrs in a working day and when I go home my battery is at 60%. Its unbelievable. Love it. Would highly recommend.

This Samsung S9 Phone is a very fast phone and also has a great camera. Being unlocked was a big bonus for me, I can actually change cell phone companies without having to purchase another phone

Everything in this phone hardware wise is extremely impressive. Starting with the stunning high resolution LED screen; it is fantastic for watching movies. The camera with a physical shutter takes stunning 12mp quality photos in daylight as well as night. The battery is truly a full day battery. Finally the retina scanner and face recognition work very well and quickly. The layout of the phone with the implementation of apps edge makes it extremely efficient and user friendly. Great value well worth the price.

My wife and I both purchased the Galaxy S9. The screen is crystal clear, battery life is good, it's waterproof (to a point), and the features are top notch. My only complaint is the edge screen, not something I will be looking for in my next phone, but I was concerned with that going into the purchsse so not a revelation. Android blows Apple out of the water when comparing this phone to two Apple phones I've owned over the years for work.

I picked this up (unlocked) after my Pixel XL died and this is a really nice phone. I was always someone who had to have the latest version of Android and now that is not a huge deal. Touchwize is not as bad as it was from what I remember. If you don't like the look, there are some really nice themes that you can use to change the look and feel. The camera is amazing and the slot motion is really cool. Having a headset jack and SD slot are still great things to have in my opinion. The battery on this phone is ok, not great and my biggest gripe/ learning curve is the button placement. I'm not sure why Samsung does it, but the back and app list/view locations locations are flipped. That's not a deal breaker, just something I have to get used to. So far I'm really happy with this phone. If you can, buy it unlocked so you can use it on any carrier, are not tied to a contract and if you are on Verizon won't have all of that bloatware that was just announced to be coming.
