The Tab3 10.1 is Missing a lot of features that are present in its 8" counterpart. Its missing multi-Window, reading mode, hand gestures, and other things that you can see in the 8" model.

I was torn between the galaxy tab 3 10.1 and the galaxy note 2014 edition. I did not think I would use the pen features enough to pay that much difference in price. But I wish I would have got the galaxy note 2014 edition instead.

Nice having not to lug my laptop around to show family stuff on Facebook. Pages are clear until you enlarge, then they get a bit fuzzy. It's a nice toy, but I found out that I could live without it.

It's a good tablet. I just couldn't get used to the buttons in the bezel. I ended up returning it for a tab 2, which came with a keyboard and stand for less money.

    good Samsung experience

I have owned all different sized tablets over the years, from 7 in. to 10.1; and while the smaller sizes seem to be the most rapidly growing segment of the market, I still enjoy a large size for surfing the web, streaming movies or reviewing email. This new product from Samsung is very light and thin for it's size, and has a very bright screen. All of which I like. I was initially disappointed in it's specs, but sometimes they do not tell the whole story. The Intel Atom dual core processor is the first to be matched with an Android OS, and does an excellent job! It's performance is very strong in both the Quadrant and An Tutu Benchmarks tests, blowing away my Google Nexus 7 in every category. I also like the latest Android OS version of 4.2.2. I am not a fan of the location of the physical Home button, as it's designed for landscape mode, and seems out of place when I go into portrait mode, but I'll probably get used to it.

I purchased this tablet one year ago as a replacement for my Asus Nexus (the screen cracked FOR NO REASON after only one month; wasn't dropped or anything, just a faulty screen that by the way is not covered under warranty). After that horrible experience, I decided to go with a company that I knew made wonderful products: Samsung. The Galaxy 10.1 has a beautiful sleek design comparable to iPad. Though all screens are fragile, this one has held up pretty well. Granted, I've never dropped it and it's in a cover with screen protector 24/7. But I do carry it around with me everywhere (I'm a mom, student and also work), so it's jammed in backpacks, between car seats and pockets, with books-- you name it! It's had slight juice and milk spills, but it was nothing that a paper tower couldn't fix. My 4 year old also uses it for games. So after all the (not so harsh) beatings it's taken for a year, it still works like the first day I bought it and there are NO scratches, dents, marks, faded color or anything. It still looks brand new! Now to the screen quality. This tablet has vivid and clear quality. Samsung definitely know how to make screens. I've downloaded standard definition movies on it like Pacific Rim and the movie still looks great. I also downloaded some HD movies like Man of Steel and it is just so amazing, the images are strikingly beautiful much like their televisions! As a techie, I found the the tablet very easy to use. The navigation was simple and similar to other android devices. I did like the motion gestures, different uses on the stylus and the unique animation on the tablet. It's so easy that my four year old knows exactly how to use it. The best part about this tablet, I'd have to say, are the features. With so much technology at our fingertips, it's difficult to not get what you're looking for in this tablet. Partnered with Google Play, this tablet is just brimming of everything you could think of. If someone made it, you can almost always find it on Google Play. This tablet is perfect for anyone, from college students, parents, business people, and even children. It has the ability to hold virtually max capacity on data because you are able to put in an SD card and also download apps with external drives such as Google Drive and Dropbox. Browsing the internet is easy, simple, and quick even when using desktop views. Now all of that for the price of about $350, I'd say this is a good deal. I also bought the extended warranty from Best Buy, which honestly, I didn't even need. If you choose to buy this product, I recommend getting a cover and screen protector for it. Although my tablet is so portable it's pretty much attached to me and it's hard some close calls, I don't like to live dangerously with it. If you know how to take care of technology (don't leave it in your car, don't drop it, don't drown it etc) you're golden. All in all AWESOME PRODUCT!

I was looking for a tablet that I could travel with and play my games on or watch movies, I went to Best Buy and spoke to the Samsung in house rep to explain what I wanted, and they showed me this tablet telling me that it should be able to do all I was looking for. After several additional visits and talking to them, I made the purchase. Within a couple of weeks I started having problems with the tablet kicking me out of my games, I took it to the store and they told me to reboot it to factory setting and see if that helped, I did but within a couple of days I was having the same issue so I traded it in on a replacement, with the team still telling me that this was OK for what I was looking for. Once more it worked OK for about 2-3 weeks and then started kicking me out of my games again. I took it back into the Samsung reps to see what was the issue, and then they told me that this tablet really is only good for watching movies or reading a book but not for playing games on since it does not have much memory. Of course by now I am outside of my 30 days and cannot return it so now I am stuck with a tablet that is not even capable of doing what I specifically asked them if it could do.
