Not happy Best Buy know this unit was faulty power charger and not warning customers. Tech told us on the second trip this was a reoccurring problem with this unit. This was our second trip to the store only having purchased this in December. Drove 120 miles each time to have this worked on finally having to send it off to get it repaired.

I seem to take 1 step forward with it and 2 steps back. Can't get used to the position of buttons when holding in the vertical position. The screen/battery saving features time out when listening to aps like Pandora, radio stations and other music. Slow reaction times for game aps, and yahoo mail. Hard to transfer music to device.

    Another Great Samsung Product.

I have owned several Samsung products in the past. I currently own a LED 3D TV and a note 2. I decided to by a tablet after my kids moved to another state so I could Skype with them and not be stuck at my computer. After looking at other brands I kept coming back to the Tab 3. I have played several games on it and watched a few movies. The screen is awesome. I haven't noticed any screen blur and have had no video lag at all. Using apps is very easy I have not had to press a short cut more than once yet.

    Nice little tablet

Got this for my wife and she loves it. The size and number of installed applications is just right for her. Access to the Android market gives her the ability to add more apps as she wants them. I set it up on our wireless network without the manual. It's pretty intuitive. We both have Android based smart phones so working with this tab was not much of a stretch. She has a Samsung Galaxy phone which is the primary reason i chose this tablet for her. Turned out to be a good choice as she has adapted to it quickly. Web browsing, E-mail and Facebook and she's happy! The only thing I did not like about this tablet is the camera resolution. 3MP camera is not that great these days but she won't be taking that many pictures with this device.

Better than an Ipad and memory can be expanded

I purchased this about a week ago and love it! The key is getting a good case that you can handle it easy because the 10.1 is larger, but other than that I've been happy. I never bought into the Apple/Mac brand, mainly because of the price of their memory ($100 for each 16gb you go up-no thanks). I got a 64gb card for $30 and am loading it up with pics/music, couldn't do that on an Ipad. Also, I can download music for free through the many app choices. Android itself just gives you more flexibility; don't like being controlled by Apple, never did, never will! I haven't experienced any lag and the screen quality is good enough for me.

I purchased 3 of these in December for Christmas presents. They have been used extensively and continue to function with no problems. I travel and have used it for business, my children watch a lot of movies and use the internet, my grandchildren enjoy playing games. We even have them linked to control our televisions with Dish Network. Well used... Well enjoyed...

Better than the Tab 2 10.1

My wife has the Tab 2 10.1 and my daughter has the Tab 3 10.1. While I'm not the main user of either, I have gotten to use both for periods of time. I had read reviews stating that the only upside to the Tab 3 was the better graphics processor and that it was actually slower on the CPU. I've noticed nothing that would indicate that any part is slower and the extra memory the Tab 3 has over the Tab 2 seems to make things flow smoother. From what I've seen, it's definitely worth buying if you're in the market for a tablet.

This Samsung Galaxy Tablet is great! We have an I-Pad too, and this is just as comparable in features. It is easy to use, and much lighter than the regular I-Pad. I am REALLY happy with the purchase. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great device at a great price.

    OK Mid Range Tablet

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Not a bad mid range tablet. It's biggest problems are the limited system memory and screen resolution. Today's Android based tablets really need more then 1GB of RAM to function well. I would need to use the built in task manager to to clear out memory to keep things working smoothly. The screen resolution is what the mid range is using nowadays so it's not unexpected at this price range, but you (or at least I) can see individual pixels a lot of the time. The brightness and color reproduction and viewing angles are pretty good though. There is lag in the UI and app usage, but I'm not sure if that's mostly a symptom of the limited system memory or the new Intel CPU. In the end I returned the Tab 3 10.1 for a Sony Experia Z tablet and am much happier with it. It is of course 100.00 - 150.00 more expensive but get us 2GB of system memory, a great 1080p display, and a thinner and lighter tablet.

The Tab 3 is stunning beautiful in its shape, color, and display. The best part is its expandable memory. I intend to add a 64G SDHC with a total 80G. Can't beat that. It does have some deficiencies. Auto-brightness doesn't work. Go complete dark when low battery. No multi-windows. Bad charger location.
