Picked up a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 a coupled of days ago to replace my ASUS TF300. The ASUS had proved a sad disappointment due to the slow and clunky performance of the Chrome web browser, which is important to me because I mostly use my tablets for web surfing, as well as some casual gaming. After a few days of usage I can say that I'm thoroughly satisfied with the Galaxy Tab 4. Operation is smooth, and the device is astonishingly thin and light. It's a pleasure to hold in the hand. I haven't run any truly high horsepower games on the machine, but it runs Pinball Arcade with aplomb, which is my one sine-qua-non gaming requirement. The screen is a horse of a different color, however. In the interests of releasing an affordable device, Samsung has chosen to include a fairly low-resolution screen with the Galaxy Tab 4. At 1280 x 800, small text is noticeably grainy. This is no retina display, not by a long shot, and reading the home page of the New York Times, for instance, without zooming, is a somewhat unpleasant affair. That said, you don't have to zoom in very far before text is easy to read (even if it will never be as sharp and clean as the text on an iPad). There are advantages to a low resolution screen, however. With less pixels to push, the processor is less taxed, and scrolling and zooming functions are generally smooth and quick. The device feels quite peppy.. in fact, it feels much more fluid to me than the Galaxy Tab Pro I tried at the same store. All in all, I'm quite satisfied. This is an affordable device that delivers in the performance area. No the screen isn't the sharpest around, but it gets the job done. Would definitely buy another one if I had it to do again.

I didn't see much different in performance between tab 4 and my older version. I love fact that I could use my SD card in it unlike the apple

I am having a hard time figuring out my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. It's not as intuitive as my IPhone. I think it can do a lot, but I haven't figured out how. I've gone to one tutorial session at Best Buy & that helped, but I need more.

I bought the Samsung tablet at Christmas for my daughter for college. The lights have already gone out on it. It runs but you can't see anything. Not even 2 mos. and of course I can't find the receipt so we are just out of luck!

Would give it five stars but questioned the salesman about what i was getting. He assured me this was what i was looking for. Got home and all i had was a duplicate of my phone. I now have a laptop... you lost a sale!

I like it and it rates really good. I think it may be just this one but it freezes up a lot so we will be taking it back and getting another. My wife uses it primarily but what I have been told and seen its a nice device.

My daughter loves the programs i downloaded for her to use. The only bad thing is Disney Junior is not supported on this device. If you are thinking of having that program get a different tablet. Otherwise its great.

It's a nice tablet but still needs improvements. The interface is quite confusing and the graphics are not sharp. Apps are lagging when you scroll up and down.

It's a nice tablet, but I was bummed that it doesn't have a camera, and the calobration is a tad bit off. I also felt like I had to tap something five times before it actually did something. Returned.

I purchased this tablet several days ago and so far I'm impressed. It has a better display than my iPad 4. As far as speed, it has met my expectations so far. One of the features I really like is the sync capability. I own a Galaxy S5 and this tablet recognizes the phone and syncs seamlessly. In fact if you have a Galaxy phone, you will notice right away that the tablet operates just like the phone. Everything looks the same. The size and weight are perfect. Holding it for long periods of time doesn't cause cramping in the fingers like the Surface or iPad. Excellent tablet with an excellent price. You can't go wrong.

Not as easy to use than what was told at the store. Difficulty with downloading app for flash. Samsung not clear on instructions.

Would like to turn off Google from tracking everything I do. My biggest complaint is with Google and all the tracking. When I can afford to update I will be gating an I Pad.

Wanted to access the same programs used on my business computer and sync with the tablet. Told it could be done, problem is I don't know the means of operating the tablet to get the information required. Cannot print with wireless printer from tablet. It is not easy to set up files in separate categories similar to Microsoft Documents. Overall, I am disappointed I was not told I needed to know the Samsung operating system which is necessary to perform the functions I would like to do.
