I use my tablet a lot and traded up to the Samsung from 2 different Nooks. The reading experience is outstanding for someone that likes to read online and I do. I read positive reviews for reading and that made my decision easy. But this tablet is so much more, fast browsing, beautiful display, good cpu speed. I would ask for a stronger, longer lasting battery. However my new recliner has a charging port, so I'm set.

Just the right size for what I did it for. I have a hot spot so, it suits me well.

I have a number of other tablets, namely ASUS and Amazon Kindle. From all the reviews I'd read about Samsung Tablets and this particular model, l thought l should get one. The set up of this device was as simple as it was easy and l thought wow, this is far better than all my other tablets, laptops and desk top devices put together. After now using this tablet for almost 3 weeks one almighty crack in the device has come to light. It is the touch screen sensitivity, I've found it to be very hit and miss and most certainly slower to respond then my other tablets and on many occasions having to repeatedly repeat the task. I now see my choice as a big error and and have banished it to simple menial tasks. Would l by another based on the performance of this Tablet - NO. And that is a great shame particularly as it upgraded itself to the Android 6.1 system And I was expecting so much more from a company that manufacturers great T.V's

Be aware that Google and Samsung will take an active interest in everything you do. This tablet, all Samsung, is designed with built in anti-privacy measures and back doors for all occasions. Everything you do will be logged and documented. Don't believe me? Try it for a month then have an expert go through it and show you the dozens of privacy violations. Can't recommend it for that reason.

First time I purchased a Galaxy, and I am not disappointed. I like the user interface and how sensitive the touch screen is. Image is very sharp as well. Wi-Fi seems fast or at least the same as my Apple products (iPhone 6, iPad mini 2).

Loving my new gadget. Just the right size so I am able to take it everywhere.

This tablet is amazing and very inexpensive. My son is in love with it and since it offers many games, it's a struggle to have him put down. The only downside is that 16gb isn't enough so I had to buy a memory card but it didn't stop me from buying another tablet for my niece.

Works fine, but ... It does not accept 220 European voltage. I've read that all "modern" electrical devices do. An older, cheaper tablet that I owned did. If I had been smart enough to check this out before I bought it, it would have been a show stopper. I don't like the home, app, and back keys hardwired to the bottom of the tablet. That is, they move around when you rotate the tablet. The afore mentioned older table had them on the screen. So when you rotated the tablet, they rotated with it and were always in the same place. In dim light, the app and back keys are invisible. PS. I never like being forced to chose from a pre-selected list. So when I check that I would recommend it to a friend, it is with the reservation that they don't plan to travel outside the US

Bought it for my kids and has been a good asset. Was not a huge fan of apple so the choice landed onto samsung and we have not regretted. Works fine - only thing we need to have a protective cover for the kids.

I have owned the Samsung Galaxy Tab A for a year now. I primarily bought if for my son. However, I discovered early on there is a significant flaw for parents who are concerned about controlling the content their teens/tweens have access to. ALL Samsung tablets have a feature that allows multiple user accounts - one primary account (administrator), and other designated users, restricted users and/or guest user accounts. This could be a really nice feature if the creation of accounts was secured and restricted to the device owner/administrator. That is not the case, however. Even if the primary account is locked with a password, anyone who picks up the tablet and uses the settings pull-down menu on the locked tablet can create a guest user account. This means my teenager can create a temporary guest account, search for anything and everything on the internet (because parent controls established on the primary account or other user accounts don't apply to each new guest account)...and then erase that account and its history. The internet is riddled with parents bemoaning this 'feature' and there is not fix for it without the risk of rooting your device. SO if you are looking for a tablet for your teen/tween and you plan to establish parent controls, you will want to look at other brands. I personally decided on an Asus Zenpad as I wanted to stay with the Android operating system. IF you don't have kids, and this is a tablet for your own personal use, then it should be fine. It is user friendly, a nice display, and identical to other Samsung phone products so the learning curve is minimal if you also own a Samsung phone. All that said, I won't personally recommend it, or any other Samsung tablet, for that matter, as I think it is absolutely unconscionable that Samsung has not made the multi-user feature one that can be turned on or off by the device administrator based on their need.

I have ordered a new Samsung Galaxy Tab during Thanksgiving and was eagerly awaiting for the product and to my surprise I have found the item inside the package to be already opened and used tablet instead of a new one. I have to deal with the hassle of calling customer support and waiting for hours to get a resolution and to avoid driving to a store I had to wait for days to return through mail and drop at UPS which is un necessary strain and hassle in buying a new item.
