Works very well thin and light weight and excellent battery life

bought this to replace my 3 year old asus I think this one is just as good as my asus just hope it's battery lasts longer than 3 years I'm not rough on any of my electronics and expect things to last at least 5 years or longer for the price you pay for them

This is a great tablet: size, ease of use, Microsoft programs already installed and all for a very good price. It is a bit heavier than some other tablets (especially with the Otterbox case), but that's not an issue for me. Very satisfied with my purchase.

This was my first tablet and I have really enjoyed using it since I purchased. The 9.7" screen is great for viewing and playing games, and the vivid colors are outstanding. The feature of being able to sync up with my Samsung Galaxy phone was really nice!

Great tablet. At first was a little "peeved" why I bought a Tab 4 2 years ago and my screen was "bigger" than this newer model (10.1 vs 9.7) But after physically holding the tablets to each other its nothing more than a formality. Due to the new shape of the tablet the screen size may suffer on paper but is virtually non existent when compared to its 10.1 predecessors. I wasnt sure if I would like the new button placement at first, simply because bigger tablets traditionally use landscape style layouts, and its what I was accustomed to. But after a few minutes of use I quickly became comfortable with it, and actually prefer it now to my older tablet. The screen resolution, as many reviews will state, lack in comparison. If the resolution was up to par with other tablets, and even older ones, this would be a 5 star. Nothing really mind blowing or revolutionary about this device, just another solid product from a reliable company.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad. He uses it everyday and he loves it. The speed is incredible and the graphics are pretty decent, as well as the response times when it comes to things like racing games or watching movies or videos online.

I don't really now where to start, I mean for the price you pay your getting what I would consider a better tablet than most. The build quality is good not great, it feels really lite but not cheap, the speakers sound great, that's right speakers it has 2. Does take a while to charge from zero but battery lasts my kids all day with heavy use like Netflix, gaming and YouTube. It can be used outside but you'll need to turn up the brightness and that will kill some battery life, at 30-50% you can get all day power but it seems to greatly deplete when turned higher than that. It hasn't disconnected from wifi since its been setup unlike our iPad which randomly disconnects itself. The micro usb is great to load up movies or tv shows for the kids and they connect it in the truck via Bluetooth and get the theater sound experience on the road for long trips, no delay in audio with the bluetooth 4.1 while connected to my Ford F-150 sync system or my wife's Mazda CX-5 both vehicles are 2016. Haven't tested in older vehicles. Connects well with home audio speakers as well. Kids and my self love it and haven't used the iPad since we bought it, only bad thing I can say about it is that it doesn't charge fast so if your ok with that and are not a hardcore user like editing and things like that it should do everything you need it to do just fine like streaming and gaming. I didn't really want to add the camera to my review because all tablet cameras are terrible but if you must know the camera is about on par as other tablets if not slightly worse than top model or more expensive tablet cameras.

Lightweight. Easy to use. Great for videotaping sports events. Large screen. Even the preschoolers in our family love it and use it with ease

I previously owned a smaller Galaxy Tablet and when it came time to replace it I was ready to move to the 9.7 and I love it. It is perfect for my needs, love that it has office, and it is still manageable to hold and operate. I am sold on this Tab A

Bought this for my 11 year old and he was very satisfied. It has a very sharp picture and takes great pictures with its camera. Easy to work..

Great tablet for the price. Fast and has a good picture.

It is so much faster then my last one and much lighter too. Battery late for a long time too, I use it for long periods of time all the time.

The Galaxy TAB A is my 6th high end android tablet. My oldest being a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. (The workhorse of my collection.). I purchased the TAB-A over other comparable products because my experience with others like ASUS and Nexus just didn't seem to match up to Samsung's offering. I just wish i would have the patience to wait a few more weeks for the newest 10in version.

Bought this tablet for my parents that are not computer literate. It has been fairly easy for them to learn. The Best Buy rep was excellent. He showed them the basics to get them started.

Almost bought an IPAD again, but I am so glad I found this product! It allows me to open numerous windows and do different tasks without it affecting the speed or making me have to close all windows because too many things are open at once.

My company decided to use these tablets for taking notes while on site surveys. It's very easy to use and integrates well with One Note. This has been a huge time saver for our work.

I love my new tablet. I purchased it for a great price. I am on my tablet every morning and every evening. I previously was using a 7" tablet but wanted a larger screen. This is perfect.

I had a 7 in. for 3 years and loved it. I worried the larger display would be too bulky to hold in my hand but it's great and the larger screen is so much better. I bought a cover with a hand strap on the back which makes it easy to hold.
