I expected a cheap performing tablet. What I got was a zippy tablet with great battery life, and a great screen. I love the smaller form factor. It makes it easy to carry around with you in a bag, etc, and it's nice for little hands to use. I've got a 6year old daughter, and she loves using it for youtube and minecraft. I'd recommend this tablet, but would advise buying a micro sd for greater storage.

Purchased February 2018, with my teenage daughter's help & Best Buy Associate's patient assistance.
I'm pretty slow with new things. I'd been thinking about a laptop for several years, but just wasn't ready to save up that much for something that seems to get upgraded so quickly.
My youngest daughter has used her Kindle Fire for ages, and seems pretty content with it. So at first that's what I thought I'd get. When I got to Best Buy, I wandered through the laptops & tablets. I did look through the Kindle tablets, but didn't like how they felt in my hands.
I saw the Samsung tablets and found myself parked in front of them the longest. When an associate asked if I needed assistance I grilled him with question after question (he was a SAINT I tell you!), and it seemed that for my needs (photos, listen to music, email, social media, read magazines or ebooks, go the Internet [when free WIFI is available], watch Netflix, write/edit/share documents, scan ads for deals/coupons, etc. - the Samsung tablets could handle everything.
I finally settled on this model Galaxy Tab E Lite 7" 8GB Black. I asked the associate if I needed a keyboard and he suggested before buying one, to try using the tablet for a while first, and then if I still needed one I could come back (several keyboard options are in stock). I'm glad I yielded to his suggestion, because sure enough I don't need one. I asked about cases and he showed me what was available. I didn't like them so figured I'd come back for a case when I came back for a keyboard.
When I left the store I cringed and hemmed and hawed and thought why on earth did I just spend $100 on this teeny little piece of technology? I felt deep regret. But my daughter suggested I try it, because I might like it. She was right. Oh, my, word, how did I ever get by without it? It does everything I need and much more. It seems like every month or two I learn something new on my tablet. It's just the right size to be VERY PORTABLE. And VERY USER FRIENDLY.
When some of our goats were kidding, I was able to take photos and videos and upload them immediately, which is very handy for selling livestock. When my daughter's Church Music Academy Hands of Grace (sign language expressions) group had a performance, I was able to record it and upload it to youtube right away. When I'm shopping at some stores (Publix, WalMart), I can consult their app and find the items I'm looking for in their store, or get coupons (Hobby Lobby).
My daughters have got me hooked on Spotify, which is a great help to me when I do my lap-walking.
When I was travelling last summer, I was able to look up directions and email family to keep them updated as to progress (remember, as long as there's a free WIFI signal around).
When I know I'm going to have some reading time, I can go on to the library website and download some e-magazines or books. Or go to Netflix and download something to watch.
Up to now (almost a year later) I have not needed to expand my memory, but since I've added so many apps I'm getting a microSD card just in case.
I ended up crocheting a case for my tablet - kind of like a pocket when I'm wearing something without a pocket. Easy peasy.
The only accessories I absolutely HAD to buy were earbuds, which I seem to replace every few months or so. If I find a pair that lasts longer that would be great.
Also my charger cord will need replacing soon.
But the tablet itself is doing GREAT and so far my favorite Best Buy purchase.

I've had this tablet for a couple of months now, and I use it literally every day. I'm very pleased with its performance. I use it on a wi-fi network exclusively, and it loads quickly, renders graphics and images beautifully and has become a mainstay in my collection of "gadgets."
My only criticism is the life of the battery. I am careful to charge all my devices almost nightly. This tablet will be 100% chargted in the morning, and since I'm retired, I generally take it on my front porch and read my newspaper and check the drama on FaceBook each day.
By the time I'm finished with these little tasks, say maybe a couple of hours of light duty use, the battery will be down to 70 to 75 percent. That's not a show stopper, I agree, but if I were using my smartphone for those same tasks, I'd still have about 90% power remaining.
For general, everyday use, this tablet is a bargain, works as advertised and has been very dependable. It doesn't crash and I've been impressed with its response times in loading web pages.
All in all, I recommend it if you don't need to have it in constant use for several hours straight. It's no big deal for me to partially recharge it during the day, as I still have my phone and laptop to lean on. But, if this were my primary device for all day, I think I'd have some reservations.
I do recommend it. Like I said, it's sturdy, dependable, fast and reliable. The battery issues are relatively minor for me, but I bring them up in case you're looking for a device for hours and hours of constant use.

This is the great priced Tablet you've been looking for. There's cheaper ones out there...but that's exactly what you'll get...a Cheap Quality Tablet. The picture is great, and function is easy to use.

Not the fastest tablet on the market, but it's Samsung, so at least you can count on their quality. 8GB memory, with the ability to upgrade to 32GB with a memory card. Tablet feels durable, but the back is a little slippery; also the volume control buttons are a little too close to the power button, I have inadvertently shut it off more than once when trying to increase the volume.
Overall, I like it, and for the price, it serves it's purpose. If you want a tablet with faster processing, this wouldn't be your first option.

I bought this tablet mainly to just control my smart bulbs, smart tv and sound system. It works well, has a nice size. I bought it on cyber Monday and it was a great deal, especially for a brand name. Is a little slow but not something I would complain about

is a very good tablet for the price you pay for it, I use it in the office with Word, Excel and in the house I see Netflix very well or use spotify without any problem. I highly recommend it if you do not want to spend a lot, the only bad thing is your speaker because you do not hear it so loud

We purchased this tablet for our two year old child to use. He kept trying to get our phones and we didn't want him destroying our stuff. This tablet is small and relatively inexpensive. Perfect for a small child to use to help augment their learning.

This tablet is inexpensive and perfect for kids! I have two kids 3 and 6 and I don’t want to spend $800 on two iPads that they will probably break. I bought two of these tables for $100 each and they work just as good as an iPad.

Love the size and capabilities of this compact tablet. I have several Samsung tablets in a variety of sizes, but I prefer this one for everyday carry because it is lightweight and easily fits in a small purse.

Does everything a good tablet should at a fraction of the cost of the "latest and greatest." Beautiful screen and good battery life. Only weakness is the poor quality camera.

I got this tablet for office reasons. For sure it has been satisfactory the whole time being in use. The battery life is extensive. Charge it once a week. I don't really use it for social media or streaming. Just strictly business. With access to the Play Store, the applications come in useful since there are many applications vs. the Fire Tablet that is only limited to Amazon applications.

I needed to replace a small Android tablet that was being used as a Digital Readout for my mini-mill. The tablet that came with the mill was horrible, took forever to start up, wouldn't connect to the mill via bluetooth without quite a bit of fussing, got hot when using it, and a myriad of other issues. So after reviewing what was available I settled on the obvious choice - get a Samsung! This little tablet is perfect, runs cool, has a very decent battery life, reasonable charging time, both WiFi and Bluetooth work flawlessly, quick bootup. It does everything I need it to in my shop. Would definitely buy one of these again!

This tablet is by far the best quality tablet I have ever owned. My kids are not gentle with their tablets and have always gone through them like no other but the second I held it I could tell it was made better than previous ones. My kids play games and watch YouTube constantly without glitches or lagging. The battery dies a little faster than I would like but when they are constantly on them I understand why they die. The storage is smaller but you can put a memory card in it to help with that. I will not buy anything but samsung anymore! I would 100% recommend this tablet to anyone with children or anyone that's just trying to search, shop, or stream videos. Plus the geek squad protection is the best protection you can get anywhere and covers nearly everything! So happy with my purchase! And I know you will not be disappointed either!

Purchased as a gift for my nephew, he loves the ease of use. He has dropped it and it is still working perfectly and not a scratch on it.
