This model has a better screen, included fingerprint scanner, battery and two additional speakers versus the S6 Lite. I got it on sale so the price difference was $25 more than a S6 Lite. There is no S pen, but I wasn't interested in that at all. It's lightweight, too. Doesn't feel like a "last year's model." Go for the S6 Lite if screen display (LCD) doesn't bother you and the fingerprint scanner isn't needed.

I love this tablets! I got the gold one and it's more like rose gold hue but that's not a problem because I like rose gold more than gold anyway so this is a bonus for me :) This tablet performs great - it's fast and very vibrant, very thin, exterior looks great, display is awesome, very easy to use, and sound quality is beyond my expectations. I'm not a gamer or do many things on a tablet I mostly browse the webs, browse social media, watch movies, watch YouTube VDOs, chatting, etc. simple things like that so I don't need a fancy tablet and not willing to spend near or over $1,000 on a tablet so this one is just so perfect for me - not too cheap not too expensive. Performance is superb and I don't have a thing to complain about :):)

I own the first Samsung Galaxy Tab. Used it daily for years. Love the Amoled screen. Never had a single reliability issue with it. The issue that had me look for another tablet was the memory. With 16mb internal memory I had to delete apps I wanted to keep to free up memory. Looked at other tablets, but I'm spoiled by the Samsung Amoled screen. The tab 5se I bought has 64mb internal memory, which I find is more than enough for my use. I use my tablet for e:mail, movies, e:reader, monitoring finances, and browsing the internet. I don't game or use the tablet for business. I have used the 5se daily for the last month and can't think of a single negative point. It's as solid and well built as the original, I like the fingerprint scanner, the screen is lush, and the tablet responds quickly. I haven't used any of the Samsung preloaded apps, but they haven't seemed to slow down the tablet or get in the way.

I have been a loyal Galaxy Tab user for years now. This is my 4th, replacing a similarly sized but MUCH slower Tab. This model is very fast, has a pretty good camera, and good weight. There are a couple models that are faster but at this price point, I think it is the perfect Tab ... for now.

This tablet is not only very correct because it is a Samsung, yet it is built toward the complete lifestyle of a mobile person who must keep track of much data! Through it's friendly direction, huge amounts of information can be recorded either in simple print or audio AND video from online sources! It is recorded very quickly and immediately placed in a good library of data, which can be accessed whenever needed! With its many "automatic" features, forms can be filled out very fast, orders can be placed quickly and dependently and bills can be paid amidst a secure network WI-FI connection! The operator will gladly look to the tablet for any other personal means of business, entertainment, organization or speed. Thus, the unit will begin to accompany a person on most travels out of their home or introduction to another being looking for a great tablet! This is a great device which charges fast! SUPER BUY!

I was hesitant about this because I’ve been an iPad guy all this time. My mum got me this for a birthday present to replace my last iPad and I am a convert. Great picture. Great speakers. The interface is smooth which is what kept me away from the android devices initially. Only complaint is the lack of a headphone jack and having to use the dongle. Otherwise, very happy with this.

Good choice for a tablet of this size. Good performance and usability. I was originally thinking of an 8" tablet but the "andriod" choices are not "up to snuff" as far as performance/memory. The sound from this tablet really stands out 4 speakers really spread out the sound.

Like it alot. I use this for mostly for watching TV & movies My 8" Nvidea Shield tablet only lasts @ 90 min on a full charge. I Love the HD screen on it. So time for an new tablet. I liked the price of the Fire HD 10, but the S5e, had better specs overall. The S5e also has a much sleeker screen bezel, which makes the screen seem even bigger. I had some BB rewards money banked and was lucky enough to find an Open Box -excellent, so I was able to get this beauty for under $150. Total steal IMO. I chose this over the S6 lite, because of the superior screen. I could not justify the price difference with the S6 as it is almost double in price and the specs are more than I need for my uses. S7 is a little too big. So the S5e, is a perfect fit for my needs, with a bump in screen size and the latest OS. Very happy with my purchase.

This tablet is great, definitely worth the money! Easy to navigate, great graphics for the price, has many features that allow for better usage of the tabet overall such as things to save battery power etc. Allows for memory card usage which is nice for storage purposes. Has facial recognition and fingerprint scanner (never had problems with either). Battery life is great, I use this tablet frequently and charge it once every couple of days. When watching videos and things there are very thin margins around the sides that allow for the most optimal viewing. The speakers are great. Can use this as a tablet or computer. This tablet allows for split screen where you can run mulptiple apps at the same time, for example you can watch a show while writing a paper while online shopping! Overall great tablet, runs smoothly, and has many features that allow for even smoother usage.

    Good Tablet for Lightroom

No major complaints. I mainly chose this tablet because it's compatible with Adobe Lightroom, and that's worked out well for m eThe screen quality is nice. The front-facing camera comes out a little pixelated/too sharp, but I don't use that camera much. The self-facing camera is fine for zoom calls. The battery life is better than my phone doing the same tasks, and it's stood up to the humidity so far. I haven't needed Geek Squad, but it's good to have that option. My least favorite feature is that there's no audio jack. Instead I have to keep track of the little included USB-to-audio converter, and that means I can't charge and plug in headphones at the same time. It's worth it for the price I got it at, overall functionality, and lack of other issues.

Dont bother getting the s6 unless you desperately need the better processor. This one is lighter, same screen and if you get the 128gb you get more ram. It's a no brainers. Much more comfortable without the pen as well

Picture quality is great, the 4 gigs of ram does the job. Finger print scanner works good, and is very fast. But it has one little flaw, when holding tablet in portrait mode and hand is on the corner where the camera is wifi reception drops, apparently that's where the antenna is. Otherwise reception is great, just don't cover up that corner. Tablet runs very smooth. Screen resolution is 2560×1600 looks great on super amoled screen. Battery life is great. And has facial recognition too.

I've had this tablet now for more than a month and have no regrets in buying it. The screen is beautiful and large, the speed is perfectly fine, it's got enough RAM to make multitasking smooth and it is soooo thin it has a real premium feel. It works well with my USB keyboard. If you've got a recent Samsung phone then you already have a good idea what it's like as the experience is similar, just with a larger screen. I find the screen more comfortable to view than my phone's screen so prefer to use the tablet when home. I also have an Amazon tablet but this is so much better there's no comparison. Some apps don't really take advantage of the large screen, they just look the same as on your phone only larger. I definitely would buy it again though.

I needed a new tablet & researched the Galaxy Tab S5e and the S6 Lite. I decided to go with the S5e for a couple reasons. I did not really need an S pen and I liked the fact it has 4 speakers over 2 that the Lite has. I do watch videos and listen to music so I definitely was looking for a better sound quality and the sound quality is great! It also has good graphics and it is much faster than my old Galaxy tablet. The only thing I do not like about it is the fingerprint scanner. It is on the side of the tablet not the front as on my Galaxy S20+ phone. I rarely get the fingerprint to unlock my tablet. I have updated my fingerprint numerous times and it still doesn't work. I finally gave up & just end up using the pin number to unlock if the fingerprint doesn't work. Other than that I am very happy with this tablet. So if you don't particularly care about the fingerprint lock, I would highly recommend it. I am glad I made the purchase.

I have been looking to replace my Galaxy S 8” tab for years because it would shutdown and restart continuously, but was disappointed with the Galaxy TabA because it was thick, heavy and sluggish. I looked at the other “S” tabs but the screen sizes were too large for in bed reading & too expensive for my needs. Finally the Galaxy Tab S5e 10.5” came out and was a very reasonable price. Screen display is good for watching tv, movies, etc. but still a little to large for reading in bed. AKG Speakers are very loud for size of tablet, but best of all it’s very light for size. I now use this tablet for viewing over iPad 12.9” because it’s easier to move around with and just as loud.

Big upgrade over the Tab A. I recently purchased the Tab A and was extremely disappointed, so I returned it and upgraded to this and couldn't be happier. Great screen and the speakers are really impressive. Battery life if very good, considering how thin this is. Overall very pleased with this tablet.

I'm enjoying it really well. It's rather easy to use. I had a Tablet A before this one and you can easily tell the difference. The colors and sound are great. It's very fast yet accurate. Definitely beats the crap out of the Tab A. A little more expensive but worth it.
